A technique for automated research of performance parameters of virtual switches with OpenFlow support is proposed. The study revealed modes in which significant packet loss and delays of more than 100 ms occur. It was found that on different parts of the packet's route, using Open vSwitch in OpenFlow mode inside virtual machines is not optimal. Also, the connection for virtualization systems via Open vSwitch is preferable to Linux Bridge. This statement can be confirmed by several arguments. Firstly, it is due to compactness of the volumetric strip-slot transition that achieved by the multilayer arrangement of its functional parts. Secondly, it is due to the frequency-selective properties of the volumetric strip-slot transition which can be classified as band-pass. And thirdly, the volume-modular principle of its design makes it possible to ensure the replacement of individual components of the volumetric strip-slot transition. It allows to ensure high functional flexibility of the volumetric strip-slot transition. At the same time an important line in the development of wireless electronics is miniaturization of devices that operates in the microwave frequency range. In this case the issue of miniaturization of the volumetric strip-slot transition can be solved with the use of a U-shaped slot resonator. The purpose of this article is to present the results of theoretical and experimental researches of the matrix of S-parameters for the miniaturized volumetric strip-slot transition. The matrix of S-parameters of the volumetric strip-slot transition is found by the numerical simulation with a rigorous electrodynamics formulation. However, there are no commercially available portable devices for neural stimulation and no universal protocol for wireless data transfer, that could be used in such experiments. We propose the device, based on the commercially available Bluetooth-modules, that could be adapted for this task. Main component of the proposed small neural stimulator, which can be fixed on laboratory animals' back, is a current source, controlled by the output of Bluetooth-module (Slave). Another module (Master) is connected to the computer and sends commands thru RFCOMM protocol. Experiments with the device prototype show that simple byte-codes sent to the virtual COM-port can directly transmit the waveforms of the trains of impulses, used in experiments with deep brain stimulation. The proposed algorithm consists of several consecutive stages. On the first stage the model extracts a list of ingredients from a photo of the dish, based on which recipes on the second stage are selected. Two ingredient extraction architectures were tested for the first stage and three recipe matching methods for recipe suggestion are proposed. In addition, the algorithm was incorporated into the telegram-bot which provides friendly user experience. Multicarrier modulation is a powerful method of inter symbol interference mitigating in these conditions, but significant time-selectivity leads to the inter carrier interference. In this paper the efficiency of different multicarrier schemes is being investigated in the application specified, targeting to choose the viable parameters for each considered scheme, using simulation and analysis of their property. In particular, we consider conventional OFDM, filtered OFDM, windowed OFDM, QAM-FBMC and UFMC, which are combined with fast convergence RLS based equalizer. The simulation is being performed using open source software Filter Bank Multicarrier Modulation. The channel is being simulated using Brest Commercial Harbor experiment from Watermark benchmark, which provides measured characteristics of real impulse responses of the channels in shallow water within band 32.5-37.5 kHz. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that FBMC approach provides significantly better performance compare to its OFDM counterparts for large number of subcarriers (2500 subcarriers). On the other hand, the realization of FBMC-QAM system in such case is computationally more complex. Researchers and network administrators are continuously developing new tools and technologies to protect the network and related infrastructure. Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is one of them. Artificial neural networks can learn and improve its performance if appropriately trained with the optimal feature vectors. In this paper, a Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and LSTM based machine learning model is proposed to detect and classify the type of intrusion depending upon the input data. Once trained, the proposed method will remember the classification task and subsequently become able to classify the attack whenever a new set of inputs are provided to the pre-trained model. The proposed RNN and LSTM model has been tested over the NSL-KDD data-set and evaluated for varying different parameters (i.e., layers with a fixed number of neurons) and the width of the proposed models (i.e., number of neurons on a single hidden layer). This method is based on the use of the LMS algorithm to calibrate the channel gain and the Euler numerical integration method to compensate the offset voltage of the ADC channels and “data averaging”. The use of the Farrow filter for the time synchronization of ADC channels is corroborated. The degree of the Lagrange polynomial of the allpass Farrow filter is determined, which corresponds to the cubic interpolation.
