The two-photon absorption cross section of rhodamine 6G in PMMA was found much larger than that in ethanol. Fluorescence properties of this kind of dye in ethanol and PMMA were also researched. The detuning of two-photon absorption for rhodamine 6G dissolved in PMMA is diminished compared with that in ethanol when excited at 800 nm. On the laser communication platform, vibration effect influences on the overall accuracy and stability largely. In our platform a new vibration simulation system based on ARM is brought. In this system, the random numbers which are generated by ARM are output as a PWM (pulse width modulation) mode to drive the swinging mirror, and it causes beam jitter. The beam jitter simulates the vibration of the laser communication platform. In this platform, the spot miss distance is detected and calculated by the CCD unit. The spot miss distance is compared with the Gaussian white noise generated by ARM in real time. The result verifies that there are good consistencies between the noise and the spot miss distance. It is a miniature axial flux surface mounted permanent magnet flywheel motor, using a printed circuit board (PCB) stator winding. The PCB stator has simplified the design and construction and avoids unnecessary space, since size reduction has become one of the most important aspects of flywheel motor design for nanosatellites. The performances of the machine are estimated by combination method of three-dimensional (3D) electromagnetic finite element analysis (FEA) and approximate theoretical analysis. The back EMF and electromagnetic torque are derived. A comparison between the analysis and experimental measurement results of the prototype machine is also presented. Then we test the sensitivity, resolution, SNR characteristics and the influence the size of light spot on QD by building an indoor experiment. We select 1550nm waveband which suffers relatively less from background radicalization and atmospheric channel as the waveband of transmitter and receiver, also our selection catered for the trend of FSO system. We use the same QD for both fine tracking and signal detection for FSO in our design. By adopting PSPICE simulation software to analysis the electrical distributed parameters of the lasers and the external circuit, which how to affect the laser pulse rising edge and pulse width. On this basis, the optimized design of a narrow pulse drive source can be realized for semiconductor laser, and research the advantage and disadvantage on different arrangement packing of lasers. To surpass the lasing threshold, the solar has to be highly concentrated. We propose the highly efficient concentration system, which is composed by a Fresnel lens and a three-dimensional compound parabolic concentrator (3-DCPC). With the help of 3-DCPC, we increase the concentration ratio which is applied to the laser crystal. The exit of the 3-DCPC is placed in one focus of an elliptical chamber, so the solar is coupled into the elliptical chamber, pumping Nd:YAG laser media. And the achievable method of kW all fiber laser and manner of controlling mode are analyzed. The ways of master-oscillator power amplifier which includes a master oscillator stage and a booster amplifier stage were used. The continuous laser of 1.08μm, biggest output power of 1.05kW is achieved respectively. And the optical-optical conversion efficiency is 77%. The beam quality is Mx2 =1.43 and My2 =1.42. The reason that beam quality is deteriorative is analyzed. In high power, part of laser which is transmitted in the fiber core originally, is leaked to inner cladding by fiber bending. Then, the beam quality is worsened by laser which was transmitted in inner cladding. For some special use, the stabilization of center wavelength is researched.
