In this paper, one of the deep neural network technologies (GAN), we propose an image restoration network using Generative Adversarial Network. The proposed system is the image generation network, the generation result plateIt consists of a star network. Old documents not only contain information, but also we can learn about historical people's thought and consciousness from the past. Old document restoration is referred to as the restoration of documents that are usually made of parchment which are damaged either naturally or artificially. Missing regions in old documents are filled based on the current visual data which is a hard task in image inpainting. In this paper, we present Super Resolution Generative Adversarial Network (SRGAN) and semantic image inpainting for restoring the old documents so that they can be reused.","PeriodicalId":129569,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Education","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126413881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

How to improve the utilization rate of these high-quality teaching resources is a hotspot of current online learning research. In view of the inadequacy of online video interaction, we start with the principle of E-Learning, and analyze the interactive modes. Aiming to the demanding of knowledge push and self-directed learning driven by \"human-computer-network\", the interactive behavior of learning is analyzed, the interactive video response strategy is studied and the interactive video infrastructure is designed. The main work includes the research of key technologies of interaction and video synchronization control, the design of interaction script engine and the implementation of interactive video player, so as to advance self-regulated learning, social interaction and the student engagement.","PeriodicalId":129569,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Education","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116297292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Animal and human models have identified two dissociable systems for learning a space---environment centered-allocentric strategy and body centered-egocentric strategy. Despite the abundance of evidence have demonstrated differences between two navigation strategies, it is still unknown whether allocentric navigation and egocentric navigation are mediated by the same or different downstream information input systems. Based on a mutual \"online navigation task\" and \"offline recognition test\", the current study aims to investigate the causal nature of landmark cognitive mechanism to navigational strategy. In navigation task, participants were asked to search a goal either using an egocentric or an allocentric strategy spontaneously in two different stamazes. After that, an offline recognition test about the landmark relationship of the maze was followed. Then the visual landmark learning and recognitive landmark relationship between two strategies was compared. The result found landmark processing is specific for allocentric navigation, consistently landmark relationship is critical involved in the organization of allocentric knowledge. Based on \"online learning\" and \"offline representation\", the current study demonstrated landmark is specific for allocentric navigation. In addition, the conclusion that stronger landmark process of allocentric navigation might be applied to simulate and develop computational model in future research.","PeriodicalId":129569,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Education","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121408732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is largely because identifying the cognitive attributes of items currently is labor intensive and time-consuming. In this study, we used text classification techniques to automatically identify cognitive attributes. Specifically, two popular deep learning classification models, long-short term memory and bi-directional long-short term memory, were employed in conjunction with word embeddings. As the baseline, support vector machine with feature selection using information gain was also adopted. Experiments based on a sample of 805 third grade math items showed that both the deep learning models performed better than support vector machine, and bi-directional long-short term memory achieved the best performance, yielding the accuracy of 82% and the F1 measure of 80%. Our result indicated that text classification methods, especially deep learning models, have great potential in identifying cognitive attributes efficiently, and in turn, make cognitive diagnostic more feasible to practitioners.","PeriodicalId":129569,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Education","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129156101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Online educational pattern, both inside and outside of the campus community, have been become more popular. In recent years, a new research agenda has emerged, focusing on predicting and explaining dropouts and MOOCs with low completion rates. However, due to different problem specifications and evaluation metrics, performing learning analytics (LA) of online education is a challenging task. The online learner has a variety of purposes, such as complete learning courses, some knowledge points in work-based learning courses, selective learning for reviewing exams, certificate-based learning, and watching videos for interest. According to users'online behavior data, it is difficult to study why so many people drop out of MOOCs. Because users have many reasons, such as not understanding, bad network connection, other things to do, and so on. This paper study was performed to analyze data of students' online activity in a blended computer education course in Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) to identify quantitative markers that correlate with students' performance and might be used as early warning signs for possible data-driven measures. We applied the research methodology to three online courses offered generously by the Chinese University MOOC (CUMOOC) to evaluate the effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":129569,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Education","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121109423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As subliminal messages are hidden and can be used to influence people imperceptibly, we try to apply it to ideological and political education in higher education institutions, and evaluate its effectiveness by carrying out series of experiments. The experimental results demonstrate that, after three months, the degrees of approval of students in experimental group improve greatly. It can be concluded that subliminal message technology is effective in ideological and political education.","PeriodicalId":129569,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Education","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125591459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
