Two algorithms are developed the Modified and Enhanced Perturb and Observe Algorithm (MEPO) the Robust Unified Control Algorithm (RUCA). The maximum power is computed online using a very simple algorithm. Compared to the other algorithms like Perturb and Observe (PO), Hill Climbing, Incremental Encoder (InCod) and and SMC approach it is proven more efficient and faster despite using low frequency commutation. The proposed MPPT has several advantages: simplicity, high convergence speed and is independent on PV array characteristics. For obtaining the optimal tip-speed ratio, modern wind turbine controller usually uses wind speed information as a vital signal to implement the feedback of the controller. However, the rotor effective wind speed (EWS) cannot be measured by the anemometer installed at the front of the turbine. In this paper, we present two methods to estimate the rotor effective wind speed from the turbine torque and the turbine speed. Then, we utilize the estimated wind speed and the optimal tip-speed ratio to compute the generator reference speed. In the entire wind energy system, a back-to-back arrangement with two voltage source converters (VSC) has been considered: one on the machine side controlled by field oriented controller (FOC) and the other on the grid side controlled by voltage oriented controller (VOC). In this paper we present two solutions for connections quality pre-control of crimp contacts used in electric power systems and electrical machines and for early identification of the improperly executed connections, before final assembly. Thus can be avoid any damage that may occur during operation. The first solution supposes an experimental determination of specific losses by calculating the initial rate of temperature rise. This can be made drawing the tangent at the origin at heating curve. The method can be used to identify bad connections by passing a current through the winding at ambient temperature and simultaneously recording connections temperatures in the first few minutes since the current is setting. With the aim of exploring potential benefits of flapping blades in wind turbines, this paper presents the preliminary results of the numerical simulation of a flapping-pitching rectangular flat plate in a uniform air flow. Various combinations of flapping amplitude, flapping frequency and pitching amplitude are analysed and their effect on the instantaneous and maximum lift coefficient is presented. The change in the flapping frequency and amplitude were shown to have considerable effect on the lift coefficient. It can be deduced from the results that the lift coefficient is influenced by the flapping frequency and flapping amplitude combination. For the size and geometry presented in this study, the lift coefficient is most affected by the flapping amplitude when compared to the flapping frequency. The results indicate that the pitching amplitude initially enhances the lift coefficient. Today, strict installation recommendations often prevail due to a lack of knowledge on this subject. Consequently, it is important to predict the impact of wind turbines on the electric grid before the turbines are installed. The majority of wind farms are using variable speed wind turbines equipped with doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG) due to their advantages over other wind turbine generators. Therefore, the analysis of wind power dynamics with the DFIG wind turbines has become a very important research issue. In this paper, we will study the behaviour of the power flow with wind turbine on a IEEE 14 bus system, wind turbine is connected at high voltage buses to meet the increased load demand. A varying temperature profile is imposed on the lateral wall of the enclosure. Time-dependent boundary temperature is presented as sinusoidal function which can approximate real weather conditions. In the case of constant temperature a map diagram (Ra, A, N, Ak) of the two observed flow types, with and without fluid recirculation, was obtained. In order to approve that heat transfers are dependents of reversal flow and control parameters, the phase diagrams connecting heat transfer (Nu) to the recirculation flow rate (Qr) was proposed. An optimization process will find the best-fitted probability distribution function to the real traffic data. The impacts of electric vehicles charging profile on the regional distribution network, and a typical railway station, proposing EVs parking lots facilities, are discussed.
