Indeed, an adaptive observer is proposed for the on-line estimation of the state and the unknown parameters involved in the system dynamics as well as in the output expression. It is shown that the equations of the proposed observer can be derived using two approaches, namely the adaptive approach and extended-high gain observer-based approach. The observer design is detailed under both approaches and the equivalence between the underlying observer equations is established.","PeriodicalId":128530,"journal":{"name":"2015 16th International Conference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115645428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is robust against uncertainties and external disturbance. However, it may induce undesirable oscillation in the control signal. To overcome this drawback, we replace the discontinuous term of SMC law with an adaptive Proportional Derivative PD term. Using Lyapunov theory, we have proved the stability of the closed loop system. To achieve this, we propose a multilevel data fusion system that provides a contextual trend, based on the belief theory of Dempster-Shafer for data combination and the Transferable Belief Model (TBM) to take the decision. The fusion system combines the weather forecast and the thermal comfort associated to the occupant's activities and habits. The challenge we took is complex as the data to be fused are highly uncertain and heterogeneous but our method proved its efficiency as we obtain very satisfactory simulation results.","PeriodicalId":128530,"journal":{"name":"2015 16th International Conference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133228817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The controller design is dedicated to a class of nonlinear SISO systems with unknown model and control gain sign. Such a control design becomes a true challenge, and generally impossible via the inversion if the system is non-affine. This problem is resolved by using the mean value theory to render the system model affine in the control and introducing a Nussbaum function in order to obtain an estimation of the control gain sign. A simulation example illustrates the performance enhancement realized by the present control strategy.","PeriodicalId":128530,"journal":{"name":"2015 16th International Conference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131853047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An equivalent electrical circuit model of a PV module is presented with the appropriate algorithm of determination of internal parameters. An adaptation stage consisting of buck DC-DC converter is implemented between PV generators and the pure resistive load (lamp). The DC-DC converter is controlled by the development of the MPPT P&O algorithm which ensures the extraction of the maximum available power from the PV generators. The over power offered by the MPPT strategy is stocked on a lead acid battery, which requires the design of a battery regulator ensuring the well use and the health protection of the battery characteristics. The paper, shows simulation works on Matlab Simulink, conception and design of the DC-DC controller and battery regulators, on ISIS proteur. Indeed, a grid fault has repercussions on the quality of energy produced and transmitted to the users and thus on its stability. Consequently, regulators are installed to restore the stability and improve the performance of the power system. The present study aims at determining the optimal location of the PSS installed at the input of the AVR based on the participation matrix. The calculation of the parameters of these regulators is carried out by the method of Residues. The PSS are, thanks to their effectiveness and low cost, the usual means not only to eliminate the negative effects of the voltage regulators, but also to reduce the electromechanical oscillations of the system. Moreover, the damping ensured by PSS makes it even possible to the system to function beyond the stability limit in a balanced state. The various results of simulation, realized under the PSAT environment, show the performance of the regulators integrated at the level of the synchronous generators.","PeriodicalId":128530,"journal":{"name":"2015 16th International Conference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123445858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
