A square patch antenna printed on a grounded FR4 slab is used as the building block. Furthermore, its performance is enhanced in terms of impedance bandwidth by adding periodically circular slots in the ground plane to obtain ultra-wideband characteristics. Dual circular polarization, at two resonant frequencies of 10 and 25.6 GHz is achieved by loading the patch with a T-diagonal slot and truncating the corners in an arc shape. Its main features are dual resonance at 10 GHz and at 25.6 GHz, dual circular polarization, ultra-wide band characteristics as well as its compact size of $0.5lambda_{0} times 0.5lambda_{0} times 0.058lambda_{0}$ at a resonant frequency of 10 GHz.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"16 12","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132090471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, we firstly compute 3D visual saliency map for each distorted point cloud. Then, we use a threshold-based filter to select the most salient points. From these, we extract both geometrical a perceptual attributes. Estimates of their statistical properties (Entropy, Standard deviation, Skewness, Kurtosis, Median and Mean) form a features vector. In the end, the Support vector regressor (SVR) is utilized for the characteristics regression and the quality score prediction. To validate our method, a set of experiments are conducted on an open subjective colored point cloud dataset (SJTU-PCQA). Results show that the suggested method exceeds some competing methods accord-ina to correlation with average opinion score.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130490391","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, however, academic institutions are experiencing very few, yet ineffective, ways of communication among these parties. Therefore, a University ‘Sidekick’ Application has been developed in one of the educational institutions in the Gulf region to tackle the lack of communication among students and academics in a university community. The methodology followed to develop this application is the waterfall SDLC. Therefore, the application was planned for, the requirements were gathered, modeled and analyzed, the interfaces and databases were designed, and the coding and testing took place subsequently. Sidekick application is a friendly virtual assistant and intuitive to use. It provides booking for amenities, receiving alerts and notifications, a live chat which makes it easier to communicate on and off campus. Moreover, the virtual assistant can strengthen the relationships between “students and instructor”, “alumni students and current students” and “instructor and alumni students”. Furthermore, Sidekick is compatible on IOS and Android. The study concluded with implications and future development directions.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121876200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In federated Learning, instead of sending the local private data by the nodes to a central server, the server will initiate the process by sending the initial global model to the participants nodes that will perform the training phase based on their data locally and send back the results (Weights of the model) to the server for the aggregation, finally the server updates the global model based on this aggregation to make the model more efficient and send it to the nodes. Sometimes, it can be some selfish nodes injected into the partic-ipants, these selfish nodes send faulty results to the server, if the number of these nodes is minimum, the impact can be negligible, but if there are many of these selfish nodes, it deceives and pushes the whole global model to make false results. Hence, that will impact the other honest node's performances, since the server sends the model updates to them. In this research, we will focus on this problem and we will demonstrate how these selfish nodes can impact the performance of the global model completely, also we will propose a system model that can detect and eliminate them from the participants list.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127575797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initially, to maintain the compactness, a miniaturized basic patch element is designed with minimal return loss, good gain and high radiation efficiency. Based on the miniaturized single patch element, an array antenna with lx2 configuration has been designed and optimized. Afterwards, a hybrid coupler is used to feed the radiating patches of the miniaturized lx2 array antenna. The proposed antenna offers broadband radiation characteristics with a high gain, high radiation efficiency, and switchable main beams due to the proposed arrangement of the feeding network. Morever, it generates flexible beam directions having an extensive broad operating ranging from 1.725 GHz to 2.960 GHz with an impedance bandwidth of 1250 MHz, peak gain and radiation efficiency of 11.26 dB, and 99.52%, respectively. It can also radiate in two different regions (−30° & + 30°) by switching the connected ports of the two input feeds of the hybrid coupler. The structural design has been executed on a 1.56 mm thick Rogers RT/duroid 5880 Substrate with a physical area of 240×136mm2 with the help of the HFSS simulator. The results achieved with HFSS software are re-verified by CST simulator.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133843709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the increasing novelty in the automotive industry such as self-driving cars, an advanced communication system is a key requirement. Connected Vehicles (CVs) use big data exchange, increase mobility, and provide safety and an advanced transportation system. It is also an Internet of Things (IoT) technology that can communicate from Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I), and falls under the umbrella of Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication. SG/6G plays an important part in the communication of connected vehicles providing a wider range, greater bandwidth, and lower latency, enabling self-driving cars to communicate with each other. It opens reliable and approachable IOT for all consumers, providing a higher data rate, capacity, and lower latency with several uses. In this paper, we analyze communication in dif-ferent levels of vehicle autonomy, machine learning (ML), and deep learning in autonomous vehicles which can improve the performance of vehicles falling in existing levels of autonomy and the vehicles which are promised in the upcoming regime of SG/6G communication. This can open new horizons of research and development in the area of vehicular communication. We then observe the impact on radar measurements with different parameters which enables a fast and effective communication system.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129534446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In vehicle dense environment, these protocols suffer from the increase of unwanted beacon overhead and the packet collision, resulting in an increase of the packet drop rate. For this reason, we propose to dynamically change the coverage area of each vehicle according to the density of its neighbors and their positions in its coverage area. Then, we set the transmission power as function of the calculated coverage area by using two-ray ground propagation model. Simulation results show that our proposal decreases in an important manner the beacon overheads and increases the packets delivery ratio.","PeriodicalId":128342,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121363802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
