Fault analysis occurring in the electric motor was made following the ISO 10816-3 Standard. The results obtained from the analysis will be used as references and guidelines for predictions of faults in the electric motors more easily and quickly, as well as repair and maintenance planning of the electric motors.","PeriodicalId":128066,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power, Energy and Innovations (ICPEI)","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122118769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation of the underground cable has been applied using the compact software of Comsol Multiphysics.5.3 The underground high voltage cables for 24 kV rated voltage is prepared for analysis between simulation and PD measurement test in both the used cable and the new cable. The study is found that some discharges in the XLPE underground high voltage cables occur in the new cable which can be analyzed electric fields within the insulation cable by using Comsol Multiphysics 5.3 program. It is assumed that some discharging might be the internal charging type in somewhere of the dielectric cable. This point might lead to a significantly higher discharge rate than the XLPE cable of the new cable. Therefore, the used underground cable should be tested for information leading to the recovery of the power system.","PeriodicalId":128066,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power, Energy and Innovations (ICPEI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125765683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It will be more and more accurate every time the users use this program. Our program will train itself after inputting new data. The more we use the program, the more accurate it will be. We created the program with easy understandable user interface to facilitate any harmonic filter designers with low experiences to have an ability as an expert harmonic filter designer because our program has a memory of an experienced designer and ability to train itself. The solar panel technologies have been considered as an alternative way to serve as a sustainable energy. However, a big problem of solar panel usage is their costliness. To get the most benefit of the solar panels, an IoT based transpiration leaf sensor has been presented as a main part for the solar panel based hydroponic system. Unlike the external factor based sensors such humidity sensors, temperature sensors, light intensity sensor, the internal factors based sensor like transpiration leaf sensor can detect and monitor the internal change of lettuce plant in real-time. According to the direct calculation, 30 set of solar panels with batteries (300 Watts and 100 A-Hr per set) would be used as the sustainable power supply for 800 square meters of a hydroponic farm. Absolutely, the cost of such the solar panels is 250% of hydroponic system cost. On the other side, the proposed IoT based technique can determine the suitable duty cycle in real-time. At the same area, the only 10 set of solar panels with batteries would be used when the proposed IoT based hydroponic system is considered.","PeriodicalId":128066,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power, Energy and Innovations (ICPEI)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129953346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the behaviors of the PV array model are studied before PV power plants are connected to the conventional system represented by the IEEE 39 Bus system. A control system consisting of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller, voltage source controller (VSC), DC-DC boost converter and AC-DC inverter is modeled to operate along with other equipment in the system. The simulations are subsequently carried out to observe the effect of different disturbance conditions, i.e. three phase fault as well as tripping of load and generator in the system. The results of PV integration to the system coordinated with different disturbance conditions expose that a greater number of PV in the power system leads to higher power system instability and unreliability.","PeriodicalId":128066,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Power, Energy and Innovations (ICPEI)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128792348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
