The effect of work conditions on such morbidity was scored by dispersion analysis, demanding to take into account not only intergroup parameters connected with work conditions, but also intragroup ones, depending on casual circumstances, that is why the results should be regarded as preliminary data. Positive role of eye exercises during the work was stressed. 6-hours duration of students' work was considered as unfavourable. {"title":"[The metabolic interaction of cobalt and silver in the body during their combined action].","authors":"M A Kazimov","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>Mixtures of cobalt and silver in ratio (0.2:0.4), (0.2:0.2) and (0.2:0.1) mg/kg were once administrated intraperitoneally and intratracheally to white rats. Metabolism of the metals was studied. Combined exposure to metals appeared to influence greatly on their toxicokinetics. The co-action between metals appears during their absorption into the blood--the elevated peritoneal absorption of cobalt depresses that of silver. The reverse relationship is demonstrated during the intratracheal insertion. {"title":"[Changes in the serum enzymo- and proteinograms of workers in enzyme production suffering from skin diseases (the validation of the diagnosis and of the therapeutic-preventive measures)].","authors":"F A Onikienko,&nbsp;I V Kormil'tseva,&nbsp;I V Blakita","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>Clinical and epidemiologic examinations of 260 workers engaged in enzyme production revealed the structure of skin disease incidence: mycoses--31%, atopic dermatitis--19%, contact dermatitis--9%, allergic, dermatitis--5%. The majority of these skin diseases were associated with hyperphosphatemia and monoaminoxidase (MAO) depression.
