To date, however, little research has been conducted on the role of cultural factors play in the adoption of m-commerce services. This study defines culture on individual level and attains three roles (network members, technology users and consumers) out of m-commerce users with different adoption decisions. Therefore, a m-commerce adoption model based on individual-level cultural characteristics has been proposed. The four cultural dimensions representing individual-level culture (uncertainty avoidance, individualism/collectivism, context and time perception) are integrated into adoption model as moderators or independent variables in this study. A survey instrument is also developed for collecting data and empirically testing the proposed model.","PeriodicalId":125570,"journal":{"name":"2009 Eighth International Conference on Mobile Business","volume":"29 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120822743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we use literature review and multi case study analysis in order to analyze different elements of virtual operators and to identify standard types. The outcome is a categorization of virtual operators, which allows the standardization and structured comparison of any Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) business model. Based on this, we describe six virtual operators, which become accepted in the market: Branded Reseller, Service Provider, Enhanced Service Provider, full Mobile Virtual Network Operator, White Label Service Provider and Mobile Virtual Network Enabler. In addition, the categorization may also support virtual operators in defining and evaluating business models.","PeriodicalId":125570,"journal":{"name":"2009 Eighth International Conference on Mobile Business","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125684930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though the literature on the adoption of mobile services is quite extensive, few studies focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty in China. This study investigated the impact of perceived customer value, perceived service quality, and trust on customer satisfaction, and the influence of satisfaction and perceived switching cost on customer loyalty. The research results can give some implications on mobile instant message development strategies in China.","PeriodicalId":125570,"journal":{"name":"2009 Eighth International Conference on Mobile Business","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126440794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Patient information security has become a major concern, especially with the wide adoption of electronic medical records. Mobile Forensics has been utilized by law enforcement to systematically procure and preserve mobile evidence. However, the adoption of mobile forensics in the healthcare lags behind. The goal of our project is to examine the options and to provide recommendations for adoption and customization of mobile forensics in the healthcare field. An open-ended survey of local healthcare and related facilities around Indianapolis has been explored to examine the current status of Mobile Forensics in the healthcare field. The results have been evaluated using statistical analysis. A methodology is being proposed that would use mobile forensics procedures taking into account the regulatory measures that have to be instituted due to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.","PeriodicalId":125570,"journal":{"name":"2009 Eighth International Conference on Mobile Business","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129088460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
