First, the parameters of fuzzy controller are optimally identified using Jaya algorithm based on reinforcement learning. Second, an adaptive fuzzy-based sliding mode surface is innovatively designed to guarantee that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable using Lyapunov stability principle. The proposed algorithm is applied to accurately and robustly control the liquid level of the coupled-tank system. The comparison results with inverse fuzzy controllers and adaptive fuzzy controllers are fully presented to demonstrate that the proposed controller ensures an efficient and robust approach to effectively control the highly nonlinear uncertain systems.","PeriodicalId":125445,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128636464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The long propagation delay and limited bandwidth of UANs pose great challenges for MAC protocol design. But the long propagation delay in underwater acoustic channel permits multiple packets to be “pipelined” concurrently in the underwater channel. To utilize this characteristic of underwater acoustic channel, we propose a slotted FAMA-based MAC protocol (slotted C-FAMA) for underwater acoustic networks in this paper. In this protocol, we use control packets (RTS; CTS, ACK and NACK) for handshaking and time-slotted based to allocate the time for each node to communicate. Every control packet is transmitted from the source node to the destination node at the beginning of each time-slot to avoid collision. The simulations show that the slotted C-FAMA is able to achieve high and stable throughput performance, and increase channel utilization while maintaining low collision rate.","PeriodicalId":125445,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124405558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the computer vision field, transformer-based backbones recently compete with CNN-based backbones in many tasks. The success of transformer-based backbones relies on a pre-trained model that is trained on huge datasets. However, the requirement may not be satisfied in medical image applications. Compared to ImageNet 21K dataset, medical image datasets are very limited. Therefore, in this paper, we discover the performance of the Vision Transformer on medical image classification. The vision transformer will be fine-tuned on well-known medical datasets. Later, it will be fine-tuned again on the VinDr-CXR dataset. Comprehensive experiments show that the proposed method is slightly better than conventional convolution-based methods in terms of classification accuracy. However, in terms of model interpretability, ViT based models can handle the co-occurrence of multi-diseases in a medical image.","PeriodicalId":125445,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130376664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, researchers have investigated a lot of state-of-the-art methods to improve the accuracy and efficiency of text detection and recognition. However, there has been little research on text detection and recognition in natural scenes in Vietnam. In this paper, a deep learning-based empirical investigation of Vietnamese scene text detection and recognition is presented. Firstly, four detection models including differentiable binarization network (DBN), pyramid mask text detector (PMTD), pixel aggregation network (PAN), and Fourier contour embedding network (FCEN), are employed to detect text regions from the images. Then, four text recognition models including convolutional recurrent neural network (CRNN), self-attention text recognition network (SATRN), no-recurrence sequence-to-sequence text recognizer (NRTR), and RobustScanner (RS) are also investigated to recognize the texts. Moreover, data augmentation methods are also applied to enrich data for improving the accuracy and enhancing the performance of scene text detection and recognition. To validate the effectiveness of scene text detection and recognition models, the VinText dataset is employed for evaluation. Empirical results show that PMTD and SATRN achieve the highest scores among the others for text detection and recognition, respectively. In the field of water measurement, people use smart water meters to collect data remotely, detect fraudulent leaks, and warn of abnormal usage. Most designs use new smart water meters, instead integrated the smart module into old traditional water meters, this waste costs to invest in the new water meters. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a design to integrate a smart wireless remote data module into the mechanical meter bases on the analysis of the traditional commonly mechanical water meter used in Vietnam. For smart water meters, the big problem is the smart water meter module must have low consumption energy. To solve this problem, this paper focuses on analyzing a LC sensor to replace the conventional Hall sensor. In addition, the paper proposed to use a low-power Lora network with high security for data transmission. To verify the proposed method, an experimental setup on Actaris and Itron water meter, where the testing process uses Hall sensor digital conversion technology for Actaris water meter and uses LC sensor for Itron water meter. The data transmission over the Lorawan network is used for both of two experimental setups. The results of both options show that the accuracy implemented in the laboratory is ~99.9%, packet loss rate <5%, RSSI signal loss >-100dBi, SNR noise < 10dB, consumption average energy < 50uA, capable of operating over 4 years with 3.7V/3600mAh battery. These results show that the proposed design is suitable for water meters with a testing cycle according to the terms of utility agencies in Vietnam.","PeriodicalId":125445,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122964030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this goal, an electric motorcycle simulation model, including a dynamic model and a battery model, was established based on mathematical models and using MATLAB SIMULINK software. A simulation model is used to determine speed, electric motor torque, and power consumption characteristics with changing gear ratio. Through simulation study, the article shows that when increasing the gear ratio from 3 to 4.587, the speed and the moving distance decrease from 46 km/h to 44.6 km/h, respectively, and from 784 m to 743 m, while electricity consumption increases by 0.16%. However, the increasing role of RES has led to overloading of the series capacitor banks connected to 500 kV transmission line, in several cases of operation in the power grid of the Central Highlands area. In practice, to prevent the series capacitor banks from overloading, the operator decreased the energy production from RES and consequently reduced the effectiveness of the RES (mainly from wind farms and solar farms). In this paper, the authors propose a method of controlling the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) based on the short-term forecasting results for wind speed and solar radiation intensity to overcome this impediment without RES curtailment. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy has been tested on the 500kV power grid in the Central Highlands area of Vietnam via quasi-dynamic analyses considering the load variation, wind speed and solar radiation intensity for 24 hours. This approach can be used to enhance the operational effectiveness of the RES as well as the power transmission lines, improving the stability of Vietnam's power system as a result.","PeriodicalId":125445,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122788358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The TCAS is a mandatory surveillance system installed on aircraft to prevent accidents. To improve the bandwidth of the conventional RMPA, a novel modified T-shape defect is etched on the ground surface. The High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software is used to optimize and simulate the proposed structures. The general antenna parameters which include impedance, reflection coefficient, bandwidth, gain, VSWR, and radiation pattern have been simulated and analyzed for the proposed structure. The conventional RMPA resonates at 1.06GHz with a bandwidth of 13.10 MHz (1.0740-1.0609GHz), VSWR of 1.13, and a gain of 4.69dB, whereas the RMPA with defect operates at 1.05GHz with a bandwidth of 56.40 MHz (1.0821-1.0257GHz), VSWR of 1.74, and a gain of 3.68dB. In comparison to conventional RMPA, the proposed antenna with defected ground plane has improved the bandwidth by 43.30MHz. The gain of the antenna is reduced by nearly 1dB and the VSWR has slightly deviated. However, the obtained gain and VSWR are sufficient to meet the need for aircraft surveillance applications. In aviation surveillance systems, broader bandwidth is essential to improve channel capacity, airspace efficiency, and to broaden surveillance over a wider area. Hence, the proposed broadband antenna is optimum for the aircraft surveillance application (960 to 1215 MHz).","PeriodicalId":125445,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131951254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, diagnosic of arrester condition is attracting considerable attention from the researchers to ensure the safety and effectiveness of electric power distribution systems. In this paper, a newly perturbed particle swarm optimization (P-PSO) is proposed to classify the fault of surge arrester by adjusting the parameters of the support vector machine (SVM). The proposed method is employed on an actual dataset which consists of 1600 patterns with three features each (the total leakage current its resistive component and the third harmonic of resistive leakage current). The experimential ressults show that the proposed P-PSO is ability to not only accurate diagnostic arrester's faults, but also avoid the local minima. To investigate image sizing, the quantity of datasets, viewing points, and the number of appropriately trained individuals, the training datasets were created on IDE Roboflow. Moreover, the model was created by YOLOv5 on Google Colab. The images of insulators were divided into two groups including normal and faulty insulator. These insulator images were collected from the different point of view including on the floor and on the distribution line. The image size employed was 416x416 pixels, which corresponded to 148 real images and 251 augmentation images. The experiment defined different batch sizes with Epoch counts ranging from 50 to 300.
