However, a diverse and non-standard compensation system for non-permanent teachers in this country seems to have an impact on the types and amounts of compensation they receive. This triggers, in general, the high level of dissatisfaction in their work and the lack of optimal quality of their work as teachers. This article discusses the results of research aimed at knowing the effect of compensation systems for non-permanent teachers, of a private vocational high school in West Java, on their job satisfaction. Data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to 30 non-permanent teachers. Collected data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that the compensation system was in the category of being quite effective and the level of teacher jobsatisfaction was in low category. This shows that the compensation system has a positive and significant effect on non-permanent teachers’ job satisfaction. The effectiveness of the compensation system for non-permanent teachers, especially the type and amount of incentives, is the main focus that must be improved by schools’ authority and the government, along with the improvement of the quality of psychological aspects, especially in terms of creating an environment that supports non-permanent teachers to feel comfortable and be willing to continue working.ABSTRAKDi Indonesia, keberadaan guru tidak tetap telah menjadibagian yang tidak terpisahkan dalam pencapain tujuan pendidikan nasional. Namun demikian, sistem kompensasi yang beragam dan belum baku bagi para guru tidak tetap di negara ini nampaknya berimbas pada ketidaktetapan jenis serta jumlah kompensasi yang mereka terima. Hal ini memicu tingginya tingkat ketidakpuasan mereka dalam bekerja dan belum optimalnya kualitas kerja mereka sebagai guru. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian yang ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem kompensasi bagi para guru tidak tetap di sebuah SMK Swasta di Jawa Barat terhadap kepuasan kerja mereka. Data diperoleh melalui angket yang disebarkan kepada 30 orang guru tidak tetap. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sistem kompensasi berada pada kategori cukup efektif dan tingkat kepuasan kerja guru tidak tetap berada pada kategori rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru tidak tetap. Efektivitas sistem kompensasi bagi guru tidak tetap, khususnya jenis dan besaran insentif menjadi fokus utama yang harus ditingkatkan kualitasnya oleh sekolah dan pemerintah, berikut dengan peningkatan kualitas aspek psikologis dalam hal penciptaan lingkungan yang mendukung para guru tidak tetap agar merasa nyaman dan betah untuk terus bekerja. The data were collected by using questionnaire with a score ranging from 1 to 5 Likert scale model. The respondents of this research were students grade XII of SMK Bina Wisata Lembang with the Expertise Program of Office Administration. This research consists of two variables namely industrial internship program (X) and students’ competency (Y). Furthermore, this research employs descriptive and verified methods. The data were analyzed by using simple regression analysis. Based on the result of the study, it is obtained that industrial internship program brings positive and significant impacts towards students’ competency partially. Therefore, students’ competency can be improved through the improvement of industrial internship program.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Bina Wisata Lembang. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu program praktek kerja industri (X) dan kompetensi siswa (Y). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa program praktek kerja industri memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi siswa, secara parsial. The result showed: (1) the internal communication is in good category; (2) the motivation to learn in SMK Kiansantang Bandung is in the medium category; and (3) internal communication has a positive and significant influence on student learning motivation.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi internal terhadap motivasi belajar. The results of data analysis show that the role of teacher as a facilitator had an influence on the effectiveness of student learning. This research is expected to contribute to the field of education research some considerations of the role of teacher as a facilitator as one of the factors influencing the effectiveness of student learning.ABSTRAKTulisan ini mengkaji secara khusus tentang peran guru sebagai fasilitator yang diduga menjadi salah satu variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas belajar siswa. This article discusses the result of research on the impacts of competence and work discipline on employees’ performance in one of Department at Kabupaten Garut. This study used explanatory survey method with questionnaire as the data collection technique. The population of this study consists of 42 respondents who are the secretariat employees’. The result of this study shows that the competence and work discipline has positive effects on employees’ performance, both partially and simultaneously. Because of that, employees’ performance can be improved by increased the competence and work discipline.ABSTRAKKinerja pegawai dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, diantaranya adalah kompetensi dan disiplin kerja. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian tentang pengaruh kompetensi dan disiplin kerja pada kinerja pegawai pada salah satu Dinas di Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey eksplanasi dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Ukuran populasi sebanyak 42 responden. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah pegawai sekretariat. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kompetensi dan disiplin kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja pegawai, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. This article discusses the results of research on the influences between two variables. This research was conducted by using explanatory survey method, where the data was collected by using questionnaire scale model, it was given to respondents, 57 employees of Bandung City Education Office. The descriptive analysis shows that the development of human resources are in the effective category, while work productivity is in the medium category. The analysis shows that the development of human resources has a positive and significant impact on work productivity. To improve work productivity, employees must increase knowledge, skills, and motivation so that their work productivity can be optimal.ABSTRAKPengembangan sumber daya manusia adalah faktor yang telah terbukti secara empiris memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian tentang pengaruh antara dua variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode explanatory survey, dimana data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket model skala rating scale yang diberikan kepada responden sejumlah 57 orang pegawai Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung yang menjadi objek penelitian. Analisis deskriptif yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sumber daya manusia berada pada kategori efektif sedangkan produktivitas kerja berada pada kategori sedang. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sumber daya manusia memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja. Using non-equivalent control group design, results of data analysis show that Cooperative Learning Model Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate, Review Type is more suitable to improve students’ learning output in the competence of explain Public Relations Professional Organization, compare to Discovery Learning model. Thus, Cooperative Learning Model Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate, Review Type is worth using by teachers of the subject to improve the learning outputs of their students in this subject.ABSTRAKModel pembelajaran adalah salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate, Review terhadap hasil belajar 86 orang siswa di sebuah SMK di Kota Bandung pada mata pelajaran Administrasi Humas dan Protokol, kompetensi dasar Menguraikan Organisasi Profesi Humas. Dengan menggunakan non-equivalent control group design, hasil analisa data menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate, Review lebih cocok dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mempelajari kompetensi dasar Menguraikan Organisasi Profesi Humas, dibandingkan dengan model Discovery Learning. Dengan demikian model pembelalajaran kooperatif tipe Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate, Review dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif bagi para guru Mata Pelajaran Adm. This article discusses the results of a study aimed at finding out the extent of contribution of achievements on productive subjects provided during the learning process at Vocational Schools to the work readiness of 12th grade Vocational students in a State Vocational School in one of capital cities in Indonesia. By adopting quantitative research methods, data were collected by collecting 144 students ‘learning achievements in all productive subjects they had taken in five semesters of their study, and by distributing a set of questionnaires to find out the students' work readiness. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics analyses. The results of data analyses showed that students’ achievements in productive subjects gave positive contribution to students’ work readiness. Holistic efforts involving all the elements involved in the learning process in school, which supports the development and mastery of students' knowledge, skills and positive mental attitudes must be carried out comprehensively so that they can achieve maximum achievement and have good work readiness and can work and develop professionally after they have completed their study at Vocational School.ABSTRAKProses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Indonesia secara khusus ditujukan untuk mempersiapkan lulusannya untuk memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada bidang tertentu dan sikap yang berterima agar siap untuk bekerja setelah lulus. Artikel ini membahas hasil penelitian yang ditujukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi mata pelajaran produktif yang diberikan selama proses pembelajaran di SMK terhadap kesiapan kerja para siswa SMK kelas 12 di sebuah SMK Negeri di salah satu kota besar di Indonesia. Dengan mengadopsi metode penelitian kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dengan menganalisa hasil belajar 144 siswa dalam semua mata pelajaran produktif yang dipelajari dalam lima semester, serta dengan menyebarkan angket untuk mengukur kesiapan kerja para siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisa secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa prestasi siswa pada mata pelajaran produktif memberikan kontibusi yang positif terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa. Usaha holistik yang melibatkan semua elemen yang terkait dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah, yang mendukung pengembangan dan penguasaan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap mental positif para siswa harus dilakukan secara komprehensif sehingga mereka dapat mencapai prestasi yang maksimal dan memiliki kesiapan kerja yang matang dan dapat bekerja serta berkembang secara profesional setelah mereka menyelesaikan masa studi nya di SMK. The phenomenon is marked by students’ less than optimal final grades. The research consisted of three variables, namely teacher teaching skills (X1), teacher interpersonal communication (X2), and students’ learning motivation (Y). It aims to find about the levels of teacher teaching skills, teacher interpersonal communication, and students’ learning motivation and the extent to which teacher teaching skills and tacher interpersonal communication influence the learning motivation on the subject of financial administration of the eleven grade students of Vocational High School of Pasundan 1 Bandung. The research adopted an explanatory survey method. Data were collected with Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed with multiple regression. The research adopted konstruktivisme theory from Jean Piaget. The population consisted of 56 respondents who were the eleven grade students of financial administration Program of Vocational High School of Pasundan 1 Bandung. Research result it is found that teacher teaching skills were at the category of skilled, teacher interpersonal communication was at the high or communicative category, and students’ learning motivation at the high category. The result of hypothesis test shows that the levels of teacher teaching skills and teacher interpersonal communication positively, strongly, and significantly influenced students’ learning motivation, both partially and simultaneously. ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran administrasi keuangan di kelas XI SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Bandung. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan nilai akhir siswa yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga variabel yaitu keterampilan mengajar guru (X1), komunikasi interpersonal guru (X2) dan motivasi belajar siswa (Y). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran tingkat keterampilan mengajar guru, komunikasi interpersonal guru dan motivasi belajar siswa dan seberapa besar pengaruh keterampilan mengajar guru, komunikasi interpersonal guru dan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran administrasi keuangan di kelas XI SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei eksplanasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan model skala likert yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi ganda. Penelitian menggunakan teori konstruktivisme dari Jean Piaget. Jumlah anggota populasi berjumlah 56 responden. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran di SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Bandung.
