The general objective of this study is to build and gather validity evidence for a scale of ethical behavior at work in Brazilian Portuguese that includes everyday behaviors and is applicable to most occupations. An item neutralization method was used in the scale construction. To collect evidence of validity, exploratory factor analysis was performed with a sample of 298 workers and convergent and discriminant analysis with a sample of 226 workers. The final scale had 12 items in a structure with 3 factors (composite reliability > .70) and explained variance of 65.6%. The study proposes an integration of the literature on ethical, counterproductive and work performance behavior and presents results that indicate the scale's suitability for use in future research. This article is the result of a qualitative documentary research, which aimed to analyze judicial decisions related to mental disorders and their respective causal link in labor expertise in Brazil. We analyzed 59 decisions published on the website of the Regional Labor Court (TRT) of the Fourth Region between 2019 and 2020. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. A significant presence of occupational diseases and claims for moral and material damages was observed. For the establishment of the causal link/concause, identified in 59.32% of the cases, the relevance of expert evidence was verified. The participation of the psychologist in such procedures proved to be inexpressive compared to medical experts. Possibilities and limitations related to the psychologist's professional performance in labor expertise are discussed. Keywords: forensic psychology, worker's health, court decisions.","PeriodicalId":12373,"journal":{"name":"Fractal: Revista de Psicologia","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136206978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article aims to analyze whether volunteering practice can mitigate professional stress found during the social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. A digital survey was applied, reaching 966 respondents. Linear regression methodology was used. Results showed individuals who practiced volunteering before the pandemic and managed to keep practicing it during the social isolation demonstrated greater capacity to delimit their roles at home and obtained lower rates of professional stress, calculated from the sum of variables related to work demand and autonomy in the activities. The study demonstrated that investments in corporate social responsibility and volunteering can bring benefits to the employees, and consequently, organizational wellbeing. O Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV) e os seus voluntários atuam como principal alternativa filantrópica nacional para a prevenção do suicídio. Compreender como os voluntários do CVV representam o fenômeno se faz necessário para entender as práticas de prevenção realizadas na instituição. Portanto, este estudo objetivou analisar o conteúdo do campo representacional associado ao objeto de representação suicídio pelos voluntários do CVV Vitória/ES. Foram entrevistados 19 voluntários do CVV Vitória/ES, com instrumento baseado em roteiro semiestruturado. Para análise dos dados, foram utilizados os recursos da Análise de Conteúdo. Os resultados apontaram para a organização do campo representacional referente ao suicídio a partir de três categorias temáticas principais: 1) Memórias e vivências: o voluntário do CVV; 2) Risco e proteção; e 3) Suicídio: como o avaliam e como se sentem os voluntários do CVV. Discute-se acerca da dimensão afetiva das representações sociais de suicídio entre os voluntários, bem como a atribuição da adolescência como principal grupo de risco e a ancoragem do objeto de representação suicídio em conhecimentos religiosos e científicos.","PeriodicalId":12373,"journal":{"name":"Fractal: Revista de Psicologia","volume":"49 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74334719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thirty-three civil servants — students of the telework management course— participated. The corpus gathered 4,261 words analyzed with Iramuteq support. \"Telework\" and \"Work-Task\" were the main communities in the co-occurrence tree. Five classes emerged: Work-Family Reconciliation, Virtual Communication, Communication Tools, Relationship, and Work Redesign. The basic psychological need for relationship and the communication performance dimension were the most affected, making relationship and task redesign the main targets of redesign actions. In summary, telecommuting in the context of the crisis has positioned redesign as a collective process that must combine efforts by organizations and workers in order to guarantee both work performance and the wellbeing of teleworkers. Until now, there was no model that evidenced how the relationship between these three constructs occur together. One hundred and sixty five pharmaceutical retail employees participated in this research, through exploratory descriptive research. The model was tested using structural equations. It was observed that certain types of organizational culture mediate the relationship between breach of psychological contract and deviant behavior at work. It is concluded that the market and adhocratic organizational culture do not mediate the relationship between breach of psychological contract and deviant behavior at work. Nevertheless, the hierarchical organizational culture has an inhibiting effect on deviant behavior at work, due to the rigid control of people, which proved to be different from the clan culture. The objective of this study was to determine the competences that must be strengthened for the academic training of managers in graduate school. The research was descriptive-correlational. An adaptation of the instrument on general and specific competences in the area of Business Administration of the Tuning Project was carried out. This version of the instrument was applied to postgraduate students, graduates, human resource managers, and professors. For the analysis, the approach of four philosophical fundamentals of business administration was considered. The results show the need to strengthen the specific and general competences applied, there is also little development in competences related to ethics and social responsibility of the manager, which can impact performance and methods (epistemology) and managerial management work (praxeology). The aims of this study were to estimate the presenteeism in university professors and administrative personnel of Brazilian public universities and to evaluate the psychometric properties of presenteeism instruments in the sample. The evaluation of presenteeism was carried out using the Work Limitation questionnaire (WLQ) and the Stanford Presenteeism scale (SPS-6). The psychometric properties of the instruments were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). A total of 533 workers participated in the study (271 academic staff members and 262 university professors). The presenteeism index in the sample was .05. The CFA of the refined models showed adequate adjustments to the sample. However, the analysis of the explained variance of the presenteeism concept revealed strong contribution of the WLQ factors and the theoretical fragility of the SPS-6.
