However, the most beautiful phase may become challenging if the child deviates from normalcy. Speaking of children with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities experience such social, psychological, emotional, and physical disturbances in life as their children strongly rely on them for their fundamental needs such as food, life skills, special education, safety, and care, etc. Worry, anxiety, despair, overprotection, rejection, and self-blame are all typical feelings for parents when they discover their child's condition. They are found to be frequently struggling with social situations as well. In such a condition, how can a parent be expected to have both balanced psychological well-being and a healthy parenting style? In order to highlight the importance of the delivery of appropriate interventions at the right moment to support parents in need, the researchers felt the need to conduct a study related to the dimensions and mental health status of parents of children with disabilities. For this study, a sample of 50 parents having children with disabilities (CwDs) and 50 parents having children without any disability (Cw/oDs) was prepared. The Mithila Mental Health Status Inventory was used to gather the data from the sample taken from Delhi, India. The hypothesis was framed and tested through descriptive and inferential statistical tools. In the end, the findings revealed that there was emotional instability, alienation, and egocentrism among parents of CwDs, and it was ultimately determined that the mental health of the parents of CwDs was poor. The mental health of parents of Cw/oDs was estimated to be average, with low levels of social alienation, emotional instability, and emotional nonconformity. Additionally, there was a statistically significant difference between the mental health of CwD parents and Cw/oD parents. The study proposes that since a parent's mental health directly affects how they parent their child, practitioners who work with families of CwDs must inquire about the mental strength of the parents and offer advice on coping mechanisms in order to reduce the stress levels of the parents. The good mental health of the parent is directly related to the quality of life of the entire family.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131404276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From birth to death, everyone require healthy adjustments in all aspects of life. Adjustment problems, stress levels and homesickness are all supposed to be reduced for the development of a well-balanced personality. Emotional intelligence was thought to be responsible for reducing adjustment problems, stress levels and homesickness. Emotions play a significant role in influencing and guiding actions. Emotions are often seen as dominating the behavior to the point where everyone have no choice but to behave in accordance with their wishes. Subsequently, emotions are found to be providing a specific direction to behavior. These emotions aid in the development of personality. This study made an effort to find levels of emotional intelligence among science and arts student teachers. The present study consists of 50 samples equally divided into two groups (i.e., science and arts). Emotional intelligence tool used was constructed and standardized by Ankool Hyde, Sanjyot Pethe, and Upinder Dhar, and an adjustment scale was constructed and standardized by Prof. A.K. Sinha and R.P. Sina, for the collection of data. Statistical techniques such as mean, SD, and t-test are used for data analysis. The result reveals that 22% of student teachers have high emotional intelligence, 68% of student teachers have average emotional intelligence, and 10% of student teachers have low emotional intelligence. From the study, it is concluded that there is no significant difference between the Emotional Intelligence scores of Science and Arts student teachers. There is no significant difference between the adjustment scores of science and arts student teachers. There is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and the adjustment of B.Ed. student teachers at Srinivas University.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"2014 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114718620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study adopted a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study group included 729 participants, and of these participants, 347 were women (47.6%) and 382 were men (52.4%). To collect the data, a personal information form, multidimensional scale of perceived social support, coping with the pandemic scale and fear of COVID scale, and Life Satisfaction Scale were used. The data were collected online through Google Forms. Before the path analysis, assumptions such as multicollinearity and normality were checked, which showed that the data were suitable for the analysis. Nearly all the correlations between the variables were significant except the one between fear of COVID and life satisfaction. The path analysis suggested that there was no significant association between fear of COVID and life satisfaction. However, the life satisfaction of individuals with fear of COVID increases as they use more coping strategies and perceive a higher level of social support. The current study, conducted on individuals who were lonely with some social and personal problems during the pandemic, will contribute to the literature. Finally, some suggestions were given based on the findings.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124357811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sample of 20 teachers from 20 primary schools in Gutu District were interviewed, along with various aspects related to their knowledge of inclusive education and strategies for including learners with autism in mainstream classrooms. The study revealed that most rural school teachers have low knowledge and skills about inclusive education. It was also found that factors such as lack of in-service training, and lack of resources were among the challenges faced by rural teachers in preparing for inclusive education. It is concluded that effective inclusive education is still facing a lot of challenges in rural schools in Zimbabwe, and to make it a reality, the study recommends that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MoPSE) and educational stakeholders work together with rural teachers to ensure the availability of equipment and materials for effective learning for both learners with and without autism. The study recommends that, provision of regular in-service training and workshops could help many teachers gain appropriate knowledge and skills in teaching learners. Furthermore, rural schools are challenged to provide the latest technological developments and adequate resources to facilitate inclusive learning.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131123609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both classroom practices and perceptions have been examined. As per the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), gender education is supposed to integrate essential subjects, skills, and capacities into the core part of the curriculum. There is also a provision for a Gender Inclusion Fund (GIF). A descriptive method was used to find the result, with a self-made statement schedule having expert validation. The findings of this study show that female prospective teachers are more neutral towards gender roles than their male counterparts. Both are approaching a gender-neutral world, but some dimensions still have stereotypical mindsets. In their classrooms, while the teaching-learning process takes place, they are aware of their behavior toward gender roles. They always try to engage the students in various projects on equal terms, following the protocol of the school where they intern. The results show that if gender studies are taught like any other core subject, observable behavior changes can be seen in both teachers and students. This creates the potential for a gender-neutral world in the long run, which aligns with education's ultimate goal of fostering a happy and prosperous society that facilitates creativity.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133721526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
