The study group consisted of 605 students who were studying in two state secondary schools in Turkey. In the study, the \"Physical Education Course Sportsmanship Behavior Scale\", the \"Selfefficacy Scale for Children\", the \"Child and Youth Resilience Measure” and a personal information form created by the researcher were used. The effect of students' self-efficacy and psychological resilience levels on their sportsmanship behaviors was examined by Path Analysis. The analysis results also showed that social self-efficacy significantly affected positive sportsmanship behaviors, and academic self-efficacy affected negative sportsmanship behaviors. When the Squared Multiple Correlations value of the model is considered, it is seen that 5% of positive sportsmanship behaviors and 4% of negative sportsmanship behaviors are explained by the model. As a result, it was found that the social self-efficacy level of the students was a significant predictor of positive sportsmanship behaviors, and the academic self-efficacy level was a significant predictor of negative sportsmanship behaviors. It was determined that the model designed in the research explained the sportsmanship behavior of the students at a low level.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131350647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is imperative to have insight into academic resilience as students are involved in various obstacles in the field of education. Scientific epistemological views reflect the individual's beliefs pertaining to science, its qualities, methodologies, and the individual's acquisition process. The study was undertaken to determine the relationship between academic resilience and scientific epistemological views among undergraduate students. A sample of 200 undergraduate students, comprising 72 males and 128 females, was selected through simple random sampling from different faculties of Aligarh Muslim University. Two tools were used for data collection, Academic Resilience Scale (2010) and the Scientific Epistemological Views Scale (2005). For data analysis, Pearson's coefficient of correlation and the t-test were calculated. The results revealed that there exists no relationship between the two variables. In the case of academic resilience, a significant difference was found between the male and female groups, with female students coming out as more resilient than male students. However, in scientific epistemological views, no significant difference between male and female groups was found.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132858544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

DIF is essential for test validity arguments, thus making it a necessary part of validity studies. This study examines DIF across gender on three subtests of the Early Grade Mathematics Assessment (EGMA) (number identification, number discrimination, and recognition of number patterns) using a logistic regression procedure. Study participants were Grade 2 and Grade 3 primary students who participated in the 2018 Early Grade Mathematics Assessment Survey in Zambia. The study employed a three-step logistic regression procedure on test items for number identification, number discrimination, and recognition of number patterns to determine whether DIF was present or not. The results, on the whole, show that none of the subtest items of number identification, number discrimination, and recognition of number patterns showed DIF.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"313 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124440147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this process, the limitations caused by visual impairment and the limitations originating from the shortcomings of the environment other than the visually impaired individuals themselves lead to many difficulties, which must be minimised to receive quality education. The aim of the research is to interpret and evaluate the problems and suggest solutions to visually impaired university students and reveal their similar and different aspects and new inferences through a systematic review of qualitative research findings between the years 2000 and 2021, using a meta-synthesis method. The results suggest that accessing campus from residence, accessing information, using technology and virtual materials on campus, social and educational attitudes, educational conditions, and assessment results cause different difficulties for visually impaired university students. Issuing legal regulations, improving the performance level of the visually impaired individuals in orientation and mobility, providing professional staff training, and procuring trained live readers or screen readers, hearing aids, touching aids, and helpers, as well as providing sufficient time for analysing tactile materials such as Braille and carefully answering the questions, are all recommended to solve the rising difficulties.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116917414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This process has been difficult for most people, even more for some others including (teachers, administrators at educational settings) working in educational settings. The purpose of this study was to understand the predictive effect of psychosocial factors (gender, age, marital status, Additional Time Spent (ATS) on social media, ATS internet compared to the pre-COVID-19 pandemic and expert programs), and psychological inflexibility on depression and anxiety for teachers employed in the Ministry of Education during the pandemic. Participants included 514 adults (49% women). The findings of the study revealed that psychological factors and psychological inflexibility together explained 47% of the variance in depression and 42% of the variance in anxiety. Specifically, gender, social media and psychological inflexibility were significant predictors of both depression and anxiety during the pandemic. In addition to the predictive effect of psychosocial factors, these results indicated that psychological flexibility was important to develop further evidence based mental health services to address psychopathology and enhanced wellbeing. The findings of the study were discussed in the light of literature, and some suggestions were provided for future research and practice.","PeriodicalId":123621,"journal":{"name":"i-manager’s Journal on Educational Psychology","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116426267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
