However, the existing work on skyline queries mainly assumes data objects contain only non-spatial attributes. In this paper, we address the problem of answering location-dependent skyline queries efficiently over data objects with both spatial locations and non-spatial attributes in mobile databases. We show how to efficiently perform location-dependent skyline queries in a distributed mobile environment and propose a location-dependent skyline processing approach. We conduct extensive experiments in a simulated mobile database system, and the experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":122827,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh Web Information Systems and Applications Conference","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125022725","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To verify the validity of the proposed approach, 21 580 restaurant reviews are collected. Each review is viewed as a probabilistic mixture of latent topics and each topic is treated as a probability distribution over words in a vocabulary. Parameters are estimated with Gibbs sampling, and the hot topics with top words are acquired. The experiments show that this approach could produce satisfactory results.","PeriodicalId":122827,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh Web Information Systems and Applications Conference","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122188571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Current qualitative assessment are based on subjective qualitative evaluation and the rigid division of the quantitative data, however both methods are less objective, precise and impartiality, as a result cause accuracy of assessment poorly. D-S Evidence theory is fit for processing the subjective judgment and synthesizing the uncertain knowledge. So, this theory is applied to the uncertainty of assessment results. Firstly used the classic 2/8 rule to build a dynamic contribution matrix. Then after weighted and normalized, we got a basic probability assignment MASS matrix. Final chosen one of the largest number of synthetic probability as assessment result. The algorithm has a strong versatility and an example is used to demonstrate its effectively in this text.","PeriodicalId":122827,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh Web Information Systems and Applications Conference","volume":"304 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114049395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Similar problems may occur in other countries, and their memory institutions may be less prepared to handle them. Quite often, information in the native special digital objects is also unique in world and requires more precise preservation. This paper analyses the requirements and challenges of digital libraries in China and describes a practice of sustainable preservation risk management method based on web service technology. This system demonstrates an architecture that provides a minimal approach to handle the native problems, which can be easily ported to similar situations. It also provides a way to leverage the existing tools/services. And to mitigate the lack-of-professionals problem in digital preservation, multiple preservation risks are managed, which can help schedule the preservation actions efficiently.","PeriodicalId":122827,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh Web Information Systems and Applications Conference","volume":"40 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116336764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, aiming at ISMG distributing mechanism for SMS, a mathematical model with matrix method which had a low consumption load but a high efficiency strategy of dynamically scheduling for load balancing was constructed afterwards. By means of the optimization of SMS distributing process, accurate and timely delivery of the message was ensured while the robustness of the SMS platform was improved, then the efficiency of network communications equipment was also achieved.","PeriodicalId":122827,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh Web Information Systems and Applications Conference","volume":"711 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116124207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The necessity of putting data-owners’ personal information online and unwanted intentions to access data-owners’ information augment the risk of privacy disclosure. To address this problem, we propose a policy-based privacy protection mechanism that protects personal information by policy from privacy violations. The policy is automatically generated based on granular computing, which attains policies about information disclosure degree from the historical access records, and data-owner’s feedback improves the accuracy of our algorithm. Due to the obvious advantages to describing problem spaces at different granularities and hierarchies in granular computing, we present Infospace, a framework for storage and description of personal information in different predefined hierarchies. Besides, through case study we show the effectiveness of our new mechanism.","PeriodicalId":122827,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh Web Information Systems and Applications Conference","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125638585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
