The conflict itself is caused by two sources, namely the management of coal mining companies and the subjective pattern of communication between workers. This conflict was mediated by stakeholders from Dayak adat leaders and trade unions. This research method is descriptive qualitative involving six informants consisting of company leaders, trade unions, laborers, traditional leaders, and youth. Data collection techniques are interviews and FGDs, then the data analysis method uses Miles & Hubberman. This research, which is located in East Kalimantan, categorizes the types of internal and external conflicts how to resolve them through conflict mitigation. The recommendations of this research are regarding methods, conflict mitigation implementation models, and reporting of supporting factors that hinder their implementation.","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127591816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data were collected through interviews and observations from 15 mobile phone repairers in Morogoro municipality and were analysed qualitatively using thematic and content analysis techniques. Findings revealed that mobile phone repairers engage in the mobile phone repair business because of various factors. Most mobile phone repairers join the mobile phone industry because of income and employment problems. It noted further that, about 75% of phone repairers acquired the related skills informally while 25% of them had this knowledge in formal ways. Therefore, it is recommended that mobile phone repairers should not depend only on learning from more knowledgeable and experienced mobile phone repairers but also should attend training institutions such as Vocational Education and Training Authority and Dar es salaam Institute of Technology.","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"242 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122531328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method used in studying the phenomenon of community participation (phenomenological) is a qualitative research method. The results of this study are first, the public perceives regional elections as rah-rah (spending funds); no benefit; not thinking about the fate of the people; and people's aspirations are not accommodated, tend to be manipulative. Second, background and basic considerations used as justification for people's attitude not to proceed in Pilkada or not to vote alias Gol-Put is because they do not know the candidates closely; socialization that was less than optimal and he called the Pilkada as something oriented solely to position, while their aspirations were never accommodated and their aspirations paid attention to over the entire Pilkada process","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125991831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dependent variable is organizational performance (proxied as service quality and productivity) and independent variable is conflict management. Questionnaire was administered to six hundred(600) respondents out of which five hundred and forty-four (544) were fully retrieved and completed. Data obtained were analyzed using both descriptive (mean, minimum and maximum values, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation) and inferential (variance inflation factor and Lawley correlation) statistical tools. Findings of the study revealed that when conflict is adequately managed, it would result to increased organizational performance, particularly in areas of service quality and productivity. On the basis of the findings, it was recommended that management of organizations should strive towards conflict management by ensuring employees have the right skills and are willing to accept authority and clarity of chain of command. More so, management of organization need to ensure elaborate job description and incessant interaction between organizations management and employees in order to promote organizational performance in Nigeria.","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128127639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this study is to explore the factors determining the utilization of maternal and child healthcare service utilization in the eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. For the study Researchers used National Family Health Survey round 4 (2015-2016) data which is a multi-round, large-scale survey conducted on a representative sample of households from across the country. Chi-square test was used to find the significance level during bivariate analysis. Additionally, binary logistic regression analysis was used to establish the association between outcome variables and other explanatory variables. The result suggests that the percentage use of full antenatal care services by mothers age, media exposure, caste, and birth order is almost similar in both the regions while for education it depicts a surprising result as women with higher education in WUP tend to have lesser utilization of full ANC as compared to the women of EUP of the same category. The mothers of eastern Uttar Pradesh lag behind in utilizing the PNC services as compared to the western Uttar Pradesh. The prevalence of full immunization, and PNC is tended to be higher among the children of western Uttar Pradesh. Women in the higher quantiles and with more education were more likely to get their child vaccinated and have a PNC visit.","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114638277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examined the effect of Intellectual Capital Efficiency on Firm’s Value in Some Selected Listed Firms on Nigerian Exchange Group. Data for the study were extracted from annual reports and accounts of thirty one selected companies for the period 2016-2021.Datafor Intellectual Capital Efficiency proxy by Modified Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (M-VAIC=HCE,SCE,RCE and CEE) and Firm’s value estimated by Market to Book Value(M/BV), Earnings Per Share (EPS) and Tobin Q (TQ) were extracted from the annual reports and accounts of selected companies. Three research hypotheses were formulated and tested adopting both descriptive statistics and simple regression techniques (OLS) with the aid of Stata 13.0 software. The findings revealed that M-VAIC have positive and significant effect on M/BV,EPS and TQ of Some Selected Listed Firms. Also, the introduced control variable (firm size) has a positive relationship and significant effect M/BV,EPS and TQ of Some Selected Listed Firms in Nigeria. Consequent upon this study, it was recommended that the importance of the intellectual capital should not be undermined and the mechanism, through which intellectual and human capital flow should be developed, maintained and improved; Since ICE has been shown to be the key driver of value creation, deliberate efforts should be made to grow IC of firms by first recruiting very competent staff, train and motivate them. Companies must strategically and deliberately train and retain staff for a long time to avoid losing the intellectual assets possessed by them, which could stimulate better future value and firms should invest in knowledge capital (that is intellectual capital), information technology (ICT) that can help they increase in their structural capital by harnessing information technology.","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133153180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The series „Man‟s World‟ \"is a what if story. It is a story about walking in the shoes of women, in that world. The series supports Goal Five of the UN‟s Global Goals for Sustainable Development which is about achieving Gender Equality and empowering all girls and women, everywhere.\" The aim of this paper is not about achieving the goal of gender equality but to show that gender stereotyping often leads to misrecognition of one‟s own identity, that is, it leads to a sense of identity which is not one‟s own but assigned by the society. One can argue that in thevery first place, identity is never one‟s own, instead we get a sense of our identity, our “self” by looking at the other. True, but there is also the idea of self-realization of our identity, when we recognize our true „self‟ and not the one which is assigned to us by the society, not how society looks at us as just male or female particularly, but how we look at ourselves as an individual.","PeriodicalId":122710,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130565677","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
