Production tasks for man-machine system are developed by the senior system and contain output work parameters, which are determined by the properties of the human operator and the technical subsystem. The relevance of the article lies in the fact that it describes the ergonomics of wheeled agricultural machinery in regulatory standards. The purpose of the paper is to demonstrate the process of ensuring the working conditions of a single-seated man-machine system, the difficulties that arise upon performing tasks, including the content of regulatory acts, which are the technical foundation for the formation of the quality of operation of a single-seated man-machine system. Study results indicate external and internal restrictions that influence the efficient work of the human operator and are not provided for in regulatory standards, including ways to solve existing restrictions.","PeriodicalId":122564,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Integrated Engineering","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134432710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The remarkable characteristics of carbon-carbon composites had made these products initially extremely useful in the field of aerospace and defense applications. Now, they are presently used in many applications such as biomedical implants, glass, and high temperature glass, etc. In material science, fracture toughness is a trait that depicts the ability of a material to withstand fractures and is one of the most important features in many design applications of any material. A precracked specimen is a sample that is used to accurately assess the distribution of cracks and it is a favored method. This paper describes a comparison of four precracking techniques for carbon-carbon composites using SENB specimen. The potential implications of these techniques on fracture toughness values have been evaluated. The outcome of this work indicates that precracking with a jewel saw is recommended over the other techniques.","PeriodicalId":122564,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Integrated Engineering","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128146471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system is implemented on a hybrid system integrating wind energy, solar energy, utility supply, and battery energy storage system. Load management is carried out via switching of the loads. The sources can also be turned ON and OFF. During excess power, the battery module works as an energy storage unit or backup energy supply unit during demand. Loads can be turned ON and OFF wirelessly via GSM. The grid operator can switch the loads by simply sending a command via a short service message (SMS). In the end, the system is tested, and the results are presented. The hybrid system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink first and then hardware implementation is carried out, which involves integrating renewable resources via converters and load management by switching using a microcontroller (Arduino).","PeriodicalId":122564,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Integrated Engineering","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125567040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
