C. longa was grown in a quarter-strength Hoagland’s solution to which NaCl was added to give four final concentrations: 0 (control), 25, 50 or 75 mM NaCl. In the case of the plants grown in the 25 mM NaCl medium, leaf biomass production was the same as in the control experiment, but it decreased significantly at higher salinities (50 mM and 75 mM NaCl). The volatile constituents of the leaves were isolated by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The essential-oil yield (calculated on the basis of dry weight) was 2.0% for the control plants, and increased at low-to-medium NaCl concentrations (2.5% and 2.8% for the 25 and 50 mM NaCl media, respectively). Contrary to that, the essential-oil yield decreased (1.6%) in the case of plants grown in the 75 mM NaCl medium. The major volatile constituents of C. longa leaves were identified as: α-phellandrene (38.3-42.4%; more than one third of the total oil), terpinene-4-ol (5.6-10.5%), geraniol (5.6-7.9%), p-cymene (5.2-9.6%), α-thujene (4.5-7.3%), β-sesquiphellandrene (4.8-6.8%), β-myrcene (2.6-3.8%) and α-bisabolol (1.5-2.7%). UTICAJ STRESA IZAZVANOG POVECANIM SALINITETOM HRANLJIVOG MEDIJUMA NA PRODUKCIJU I ISPARLJIVI PROFIL LISTOVA BILJNE VRSTE Curcuma longa L. U ovom radu je po prvi put ispitivan uticaj stresa izazvanog povecanim salinitetom hranljivog medijuma na rast i isparljivi profil listova biljne vrste Curcuma longa L. C. longa je gajena na cetvorostruko razblaženom Holandovom rastvoru u koji su dodate razlicite kolicine natrijum-hlorida, takve da njegova konacna koncentracija bude 0 (kontrola), 25, 50 ili 75 mM. Produkcija biomase listova u slucaju biljaka gajenih u hranljivom medijumu u kom je koncentracija NaCl bila 25 mM se nije razlikovala od one kod kontrolnog uzorka. Međutim, rast listova je bio znacajno smanjen u slucaju podloga sa visim vrednostima saliniteta (50 i 75 mM NaCl). Isparljivi sastojci listova su izolovani hidrodestilacijom i analizirani pomocu GC i GC/MS metoda. Prinos etarskog ulja je u slucaju kontrolnog uzorka bio 2,0%, a povecan je bio kod biljaka gajenih u 25 i 50 mM NaCl medijumima (2,5 i 2,8%). In this study, a fast and efficient procedure is proposed for the synthesis of aegirine nanoparticles by means of the hydrothermal process, starting from a suspension of simple hydroxide/silicate precursors. Structural properties of the obtained mineral were assessed by the XRD technique. It was found that aegirine was the only crystalline phase present. The expected needle-like morphology, characteristic of inosilicates, was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Through an appropriate selection of solvents and dispersants, an electrophoretic deposition and immobilization of aegirine on stainless steel was achieved. Native layers of aegirine displayed a very smooth morphology, while after calcination, a detachment of the layers from the stainless steel substrate and the appearance of cracks in the coating was observed. This phenomenon could be prevented by the use of appropriate additives. SINTEZA, MORFO-STRUKTURNA KARAKTERIZACIJA I ELEKTROFORETSKA DEPOZICIJA EGIRINA DOBIJENOG Si-Fe-Na-H 2 O SISTEMA HIDROTERMALNIM POSTUPKOM Egirin je mineral inosilikatnog tipa. U ovom radu je opisan brz i efikasan hidrotermalni postupak za sintezu nanocestica egirina, polazeci od suspenzije jednostavnih hidroksida/silikata kao prekursora. Strukturne karakteristike dobijenog minerala su proucavane XRD metodom (rendgenska difrakcija praha), pri cemu je utvrđeno da se on sastoji iskljucivo od kristalne faze. Primenom SEM  metode (skenirajuca elektronska mikroskopija), potvrđena je iglicasta struktura minerala, karakteristicna za inosilikate. Odabirom odgovarajuceg rastvaraca i desperzanta, izvrsena je elektroforetska depozicija i imobilizacija egirina na nerđajucem celiku. Nativni slojevi egirina su posedovali glatku morfologiju, međutim, nakon kalcinacije uoceno je odvajanje prevlake od nosaca od nerđajuceg celika i pojava naprslina. Ovo se može spreciti upotrebom odgovarajucih aditiva. Quantum subsystems are recognized as non-individual, relationally defined objects that deflate or relax some standard objections against Eliminative Ontic Structural Realism. Our considerations assume the universally valid quantum theory without tackling interpretational issues. O INDIVIDUALNOSTI U KVANTNOJ TEORIJI Kvantnomehanicka analiza dekompozabilnosti kvantnih sistema u podsisteme pruža podrsku za takozvanu eliminativnu onticku strukturalnu realnost, „attenuated Eliminative Ontic Structural Realism” (EOSR), u okvirima kategorickih studija u fizici. Kvantni podsistemi se pojavljuju kao neindividualni, relacioni objekti, sto umanjuje neke od postojecih primedaba na EOSR. HIGHLIGHTS Quantum theory does not offer a unique ground for the familiar classical individuality. The emerging field of the so-called quantum structural studies offers new insights and tools for addressing this issue. The approach originally developed by Jasmina Jeknic-Dugic et al . points out the new avenues in this regard. Pavlovic","doi":"10.2298/FUPCT1503141M","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2298/FUPCT1503141M","url":null,"abstract":"The paper provides basic information on the 2 kWp PV solar power plant with monocrystalline silicon solar modules installed on the roof of the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics (FSM), University of Nis, and the equipment for the investigation of its energy efficiency depending on the real climate conditions. Furthermore, results of the simulation and experimental determination of the energy efficiency of the PV solar power plant at FSM in Nis, in the period from July 1, 2013 to January 1, 2014, are given. It was found that in this time period the average values of the experimental and simulation calculated energy efficiencies of the PV solar power plant were 9.52% and 8.44%, respectively. The increase in the ambient temperature caused a decrease in the PV solar power plant energy efficiency; with an increase in ambient temperature by 1 °C, the experimental energy efficiency decreased by 0.22%, and the simulation calculated energy efficiency decreased by 0.07%. The obtained data could be used for the planning and application of PV solar power plants in places with a similar climate. ISPITIVANJE ENERGETSKE EFIKASNOSTI PV SOLARNE ELEKTRANE NA PRIRODNO-MATEMATICKOM FAKULTETU UNIVERZITETA U NISU  U radu su date osnovne informacije o PV solarnoj elektrani od 2 kWp, sa solarnim modulima od monokristalnog silicijuma, instaliranoj na krovu Prirodno-matematickog fakulteta (PMF) Univerziteta u Nisu i opremi za ispitivanje njene energetske efikasnosti u realnim klimatskim uslovima. Dati su rezultati eksperimentalno i simulaciono određene energetske efikasnosti PV solarne elektrane na PMF-u u Nisu u periodu od 1. jula 2013. do 1. januara 2014. godine. U tom periodu prosecno određene vrednosti eksperimentalne i simulacione energetske efikasnosti iznosile su 9,52% i 8,44%, redom. Sa povecanjem temperature okoline za 1 °C dolazilo je do pada za 0,22% eksperimentalne i za 0,07% simulaciono određene energetske efikasnosti PV solarne elektrane. Dobijeni rezultati mogu da se koriste prilikom projektovanja PV solarnih elektrana u mestima sa slicnim klimatskim karakteristikama. Most of the obtained compounds were identified by comparison of their spectral and physical data with those published elsewhere, whereas the only newly synthesized compound - diethyl 2,2-bis(3-ferrocenyl-3-oxopropyl)malonate - was completely characterized by spectral (IR, 1 H- and 13 C-NMR), physical and crystallographic (single-crystal X-ray)  data. ELEKTROHEMIJSKO GENERISANJE KATALIZATORA ZA MAJKLOVU ADICIJU DIKARBONILNIH JEDINJENJA I CIJANIDA NA AKRILOILFEROCEN Opisana je Majklova adicija dietil-malonata, etil-acetoacetata, acetilacetona i cijanidnog anjona na akriloilferocen pomocu katalizatora generisanog in situ sa rastvorne anode od cirkonijuma. Vecina dobijenih jedinjenja je identifikovana poređenjem njihovih fizickih i spektroskopskih podataka sa literaturnim, a jedino novo jedinjenje je potpuno opisano spektroskopskim (IR, 1 H- i 13 C-NMR) i fizickim podacima, kao i podacima iz kristalografske analize X-zracima. HIGHLIGHTS Michael addition of diethyl malonate, ethyl acetoacetate, acetylacetone, and cyanide anion to acryloylferrocene is described. Reaction was promoted by a catalyst in situ generated from a sacrificial zirconium anode. Diethyl 2,2-bis(3-ferrocenyl-3-oxopropyl)malonate, a new compound, was completely characterized by spectral, physical and crystallographic data. Thermal stability of total flavonoids was studied over the temperature range 95-125 oC. Total flavonoids concentration decreased as a function of time and the degradation was accelerated at higher temperatures: a half-life (t 1/2 ) of total flavonoids was much shorter at room temperature than during cold storage. A first-order kinetic model fitted well to all the data. Temperature dependence of the degradation rate constants, described by the Arrhenius equation, was more pronounced during heating than during storage. In the temperature interval from 4 oC to 35 oC, the calculated activation energies (E a ) for catechin, epicatechin and procyanidins B1-B4 were 20.4 kJ/mol, 12.5 kJ/mol, 9.4 kJ/mol, 21.6 kJ/mol, 19.4 kJ/mol, 23.7 kJ/mol, respectively. UTICAJ TEMPERTURE CUVANJA I ZAGREVANJA NA SADRŽAJ KATEHINA; PROCIJANIDINA I UKUPNIH FENOLA KOMERCIJALNIM UZORCIMA KAKAOA U PRAHU Uticaj temperature cuvanja na stabilnost katehina, epikatehina, procijanidina B1-B4 i ukupnih flavonoida u uzorcima kakaoa u prahu pracen je u temperaturnom opsegu od 4 oC do 35 oC. Uticaj zagrevanja na sadržaj ukupnih flavonoida je pracen u temperaturnom opsegu od 95 oC do 125 oC. U toku skladistenja uzoraka je doslo do smanjenja u sadržaju ukupnih flavonoida. Pomenuta promena je bila izraženija na visim temperaturama: vreme polu-života (t 1/2 ) ukupnih flavonoida u ispitivanom uzorku kakaoa u prahu bilo je krace kada je on cuvan na sobnoj temperaturi nego kada je cuvan u frižideru. Promene u sadržaju flavonoida u ispitivanim uzorcima prate kinetiku prvog reda. Konstante brzine degradacije, izracunate pomocu Arenijusove jednacine, vece su tokom zagrevanja nego tokom cuvanja ispitivanih uzoraka na nižim temperaturama. Izracunate energije aktivacije (E a ) za katehin, epikatehin i procijanidine B1, B2, B3 i B4 u temperaturnom intevalu od 4 oC do 35 oC  bile su: 20,4 kJ/mol, 12,5 kJ/mol, 9,4 kJ/mol, 21,6 kJ/mol, 19,4 kJ/mol i 23,7 kJ/mol. The determination of ZPT concentration in commercial anti-dandruff shampoos by differential pulse polarography (DPP) was based on the electrochemical reduction of zinc ions in ammoniacal buffer pH 10.2, and the linear dependence of the reduction differential pulse peak current at the potential - 1.33 V vs. concentration of zinc. Using the calibration curve method, it was found that the range of linearity for the determination of zinc concentration was from 1.28 ´ 10 ‒5 to 1.39 ´ 10 -4 mol L ‒1 (linear regression equation: I = - 0.097 + 6.635 ´ 10 5 c). Surface active ingredients and micro-components in the shampoos did not exert a polarographic interference for the determination of zinc and did not affect the indirect determination of the content of the active ingredient ZPT. The concentrations of zinc in the analyzed anti-dandruff shampoo samples were determined by the standard addition method, resulting in 4.20 ´ 10 ‒2 mol L ‒1 , 1.76 ´ 10 ‒1 mol L ‒1 and 1.82 ´ 10 ‒1 mol L ‒1 . The results of DPP determinations of zinc and ZPT show that the content of ZPT was 0.28%, 1.15% i.e. 1.19% and was below the maximum recommended level of ZPT in anti-dandruff shampoos. This simple and sensitive differential pulse polarography method is suitable for a routine and rapid control of the active ingredient content, as well as for the quality control of anti-dandruff shampoos. PRIMENA DP POLAROGRAFIJE ZA ODREĐIVANJE CINKA I SADRŽAJA CINK-PIRITIONA U SAMPONIMA PROTIV PERUTI Aktivni sastojak komercijalno formulisanih sampona protiv peruti je cink-pirition, koji ima antifungalno, antibakterijsko i antiseboreicno dejstvo. Određivanje cink-piritiona u samponima protiv peruti primenom metode diferencijalne pulsne polarografije zasnivalo se na elektrohemijskoj redukciji jona cinka u amonijacnom puferu pH 10,2 i linearnoj zavisnosti intenziteta struje pika na redukcionom potencijalu - 1,33 V i koncentracije cinka. Metodom kalibracione krive je određen opseg linearnosti za određivanje koncentracije cinka od 1,28 ´ 10 ‒5 do 1,39 ´ 10 ‒4 mol L -1 i dobijena je linearna regresiona jednacina I = - 0,097 + 6,635´10 5 c. Utvrđeno je da povrsinski aktivne komponente u matriksu sampona ne pokazuju polarografsku interferenciju i ne uticu na određivanje koncentracije cinka i sadržaja cink-piritiona u analiziranim samponima. Koncentracije cinka u analiziranim uzorcima sampona određene su metodom standardnog dodatka i iznose 4,20 ´ 10 ‒2 mol L -1 , 1,76 ´ 10 ‒1 mol L -1 i 1,82 ´ 10 ‒1 mol L -1 . Blagojević, Biljana Begović","doi":"10.2298/FUPCT1503191B","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2298/FUPCT1503191B","url":null,"abstract":"In order to evaluate the safety of selected commercial spices brands, concentration of lead, mercury and arsenic, as well as  moisture and mineral contents were analyzed in samples of dried black and white pepper powders, black, white and green peppercorns, black cumin seeds and ginger powder. Lead (Pb), mercury (Hg) and arsenic (As) concentrations in spice samples purchased from local markets in Belgrade were determined, after a microwave digestion of the samples, by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), using the graphite furnace AAS technique (Pb), cold vapor AAS technique (Hg) and hydride generation AAS technique (As). Trace levels of Pb, Hg and As in the selected dried spices samples were in the range 0.10 ppm - 0.79 ppm, 0.01 ppm - 0.10 ppm and 0.01 ppm - 0.51 ppm, respectively. The maximum Pb concentration was determined in the sample of ginger and it was 0.79 ppm, the maximum concentration of Hg was 0.10 ppm, determined in green peppercorns samples, while the maximum concentration of As in powdered black pepper sample was 0.51 ppm. The moisture and mineral contents in the different analyzed spices were in the range 1.70-13.10% and 3.40-6.50%, respectively. According to the obtained results, the concentrations of the analyzed toxic elements, as well as the moisture and mineral content in selected spices, were below the maximum permissible limits declared by the national legislations deemed safe for human consumption. SADRŽAJ OLOVA, ŽIVE I ARSENA U ZACINIMA: CRNI, BELI I ZELENI BIBER, CRNI KIM I ĐUMBIR U ovom radu, u cilju utvrđivanja bezbednosti odabranih komercijalnih zacina, analizirane su koncentracije teskih metala, kao i sadržaj vlage i ukupnih mineralnih materija, u uzorcima susenog crnog i belog bibera u prahu, crnog, belog i zelenog bibera u zrnu, semena crnog kima i đumbira u prahu. Koncentracije olova (Pb), žive (Hg) i arsena (As) u uzorcima zacina iz lokalnih prodavnica u Beogradu, određene su nakon mikrotalasne digestije atomskom apsorcionom spektrometrijom (AAS), primenom tehnike grafitne peci (Pb), tehnike hladne pare (Hg) i hidridne tehnike (As). Određene koncentracije Pb, Hg i As u uzorcima susenih zacina su u opsegu 0,10 ppm - 0,79 ppm, 0,01 ppm - 0,10 ppm i 0,01 ppm - 0,51 ppm, redom. Maksimalna koncentracija Pb od 0,79 ppm određena je u uzorku đumbira, maksimalna koncentracija Hg od 0,10 ppm u uzorcima zelenog bibera u zrnu, dok je maksimalna koncentracija As određena u uzorku crnog bibera u prahu i iznosila je 0,51 ppm. U uzorcima ispitivanih zacina sadržaj vlage i mineralnih materija je u opsegu 1,70-13,10% i 3,40-6,50%, redom. Dobijeni rezultati pokazuju da su koncentracije ispitivanih teskih metala, kao i sadržaj vlage i mineralnih materija ispod maksimalno dozvoljenih vrednosti propisanih zakonskom regulativom Republike Srbije, kao i da su ispitivani uzorci crnog, belog i zelenog bibera u prahu i zrnu, crnog kima u zrnu i đumbira u prahu propisanog kvaliteta u ovom smislu.
