The study used the mixed-method approach. The study used the convergent design, where both qualitative and quantitative data sets were collected and analysed simultaneously. A total of 389 respondents participated in this study, including 226 hospitality practitioners and 163 hospitality scholars in Kenya. The study found out that most research done by the hospitality scholars in Kenya are based on a hypothetical problem rather than pragmatic ones. Scholars use jargons, abbreviations, and statistical language in their research that are incomprehensible by practitioners, this reduces the usability of research ideas by the practitioners. The study also found out that practitioners are willing to participate in research activities when they are invited, given time and supported by their organisations. That is why the name stuck to the concept of virtually reality is somewhat in accurate; soother naming such as “alternative reality” or “computer simulation” might be better options for branding the term. It is practical technology that has been used by all whether scientists, engineers, architects, designers and many others, for longer than 30 years. Virtual reality is the creation of a virtual environment presented to the senses in such a way that one experience it as if he was really there. It uses a host of technologies to achieve this goal and is a technically complex. Virtual reality has both entertainment and serious uses. The technology is becoming cheaper and more widespread. The aim is for a natural, free-flowing form of interaction which will result in a memorable experience. It is blocking oneself off from the real world and replacing it with a computer-generated alternative. It usually involves wearing a wraparound headset “head-mounted display”, clamping stereo headphones over the ears, and touching around an imaginary home using datagloves (gloves with built-in sensors). Today, using design in VR is considered an accomplishment. For so long designers used mouse translated movements into 2 & 3 dimensional computer screens. And here this new technology reflected the merger of computer software capabilities with the natural movement of human body; this is definitely the path for the future of design, however the concept will only be unlocked universally when UX designers integrate AR with daily life to improve productivity & quality of experiences. This sport is a well-followed source of entertainment by people from all four corners of the world and its recognition is tremendously increasing. The aim of this study is to examine the actions and strategies football teams use/implement in other to reduce their resource dependency on other teams. The findings of our literature review indicate that football teams use mergers, hiring, executive succession and training as strategies in reducing their resource dependency on other teams. Despite few studies or non-looking at resource dependency theory in a football team perspective this research tried to look at the strategic decisions they can take (football teams) in a highly competitive environment to reduce their resource dependency on other teams. The limitations of our paper includes the lack of enough reference materials when it comes to football most specifically the strategies that football teams use in reducing their resource dependency on other teams as well as our examples being limited to only England and Spain which is not a total representation of all football teams. The indifference of some sellers toward the laid down regulations governing the sale of alcoholic beverages is what motivated the researchers to conduct study on this development with the purpose of determining the compliance of laws regarding the sale and usage of alcoholic beverages in the hospitality industry using the case of intoxicated and minors. Methods: Data was extracted from 100 respondents (i.e. sellers) with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), with questionnaires being used as the main research instrument. Information gathered were coded, sampled, analysed and conclusions were drawn. Results: it emerged that alcohol consumption is highest among age group 26-35 years. In addition, 80% of the respondents are aware that there are laws governing the sale of alcoholic beverages, however, 85% of them do not comply to these laws and regulations. With respect to operation, 92% of the respondents have license to operate, 8% on the other hand were operating without license. Again, out of the 92% of the respondents who have license to operate, only 40% of them oftentimes renew their licenses. Conclusions: most of the sellers do not comply to laws pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages hence the need for stringent measures to be adopted. This paper investigates the relationship between cultural landscape and tourism, especially in Abeokuta, Ogun State. This is on the premise of bringing about sustainable development in tourism, thereby enhancing the cultural and economic values of the site. The study is important as it provides a medium for the assessment of Abeokuta cultural landscapes, and relates the influencing factors with the assessment results. This was carried out through a critical review of existing literature on cultural landscapes and the inseparable link with tourism, as well as an empirical investigation using the quantitative method of data collection through questionnaire survey on all stakeholders in the tourism industry in Abeokuta. The data generated from the survey were analyzed and results were expressed in percentages. The findings revealed that cultural landscapes actually have a positive input regarding sustainable development, and also have immense contributions towards the wellbeing of man. It also brought to limelight, the factors contributing to the quality of landscapes in Abeokuta. This study was done with the objective of assessing ecotourism potentials of Dhera dilfekar block for ecotourism development. Dhera dilfekar block is one of the four blocks of Arsi Mountains National Park. Seven (7) major tourist attraction sites were identified namely; Dire kiltu hyena valley, Dire kiltu lesser kudu site, Dire kiltu greater kudu site , Fachiso greater kudu site , Gara dima hyena valley(1), Awash bishola dhagaa taa’aa valley and Gara dima hyena valley(2) .Additionally, the park can offer the visitor an opportunity to see lowland game species, a variety of bird species, Acacia dominated plant species with spectacular landscape, historical and Cultural sites which make the parks unique features to attract eco tourists. The block is the nearest to Addis Ababa (Finfinne) from any other Parks of our country and is found on the main asphalt road which goes to Bale Zone via Adama-Asella. Dhera dilfekar block is found in the lowland that situated in altitudinal elevation ranges from 1300 masl to 1835 masl. This makes the block to be visited all over the year for both domestic and international tourists since there is no mud to travel by vehicle and on foot. The proximity to Sodere resort hotel also brings additional opportunity to be visited by both domestic and foreign tourists. It can be concluded that the area is endowed with high Ecotourism potentials. It can also be good potential for bird watching tourism that can integrate economic gain with biodiversity conservation. Hence, urgent conservation measures and further detail research is recommended to promote this Ecotourism potentials.","PeriodicalId":121427,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Tourism, Hospitality and Sports","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129118480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
