The research design used is casual research. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling; the sampling technique used and suitable for this research is convenience sampling. Of the samples used are 125 samples meet the criteria. The data method uses a questionnaire. This often happens because the necessary attention to the development of such fragile touristic sites are absent thus exposing them to stages of deterioration. This paper is a review of theoretical issues related to the development and sustainability of the cultural landscape. Through the review of literatures, previous models such as, General System Theory (Cuervo, 1967), Cultural landscape Management framework (2006), Diamond Model for sustainable tourism (2017), and The Ethical tourism model (2008), a conceptual framework for the sustainability of the cultural landscape was developed. Movies, music, magazines and books have been used to create images of various cities for both residents and visitors alike. A closer look at literary texts will reveal that cities are a common feature in literature and they play a key role in setting the tone for the character and other elements in the text. Lagos city has been featured in numerous literary works and it is important to examine the representations of the city, to understand how it can impact the positioning of the city in the minds of readers and prospective visitors. This study examines the portrayal of Lagos city in literature by analysing three stories in the fictional collection, Lagos Noir. Leveraging the city brand hexagon model, the various themes observed in these stories were examined using the content analysis method. Findings from this research show that the representation of Lagos in Lagos Noir is based on the socio-economic realities in the city and Nigeria in general. In order to maintain its growth and survival in this aggressive environment, tourism sector ought to hold advantages over other competitors in the market. Such advantages are granted through providing various services that match and exceed customers’ expectations and demands.In a related development, hotel occupancy rate isdependent upon tourism and affected byseasonality, which indicates fluctuations of demand and supply in the tourism industry. This article discusses the nature of seasonality, the principal factors driving the phenomenon and how they influence hotel occupancy rate particularly in Jordan. As an alternative way of involving the host community in tourism activities, sports tourism aims to enable the hosts to earn income from tourism. Sports tourism events have been hosted in the country for decades but still facing challenges that has hauled its growth process. This article will shade light on the challenges and opportunities of hosting sports tourism in Nairobi as a way of enhancing sustainable tourism development. A cross-sectional research design is used in the study, 404 respondents form the sample size of the study.  Questionnaires and interviews are used to collect data from informants in three stadia that frequently host   sports tourism events. Descriptive, thematic analysis and inferential statistics are used for data analysis. Findings indicate that major challenges facing the hosting of sports tourism event are; poor planning, policy issues and security. Results also show that the main opportunities for sports tourism events are boosting of domestic tourism, diversification of tourism products and marketing of host cities. Key recommendations are made to policy makers to craft policies that will spur sustainable sports tourism development.
