A survey was conducted to study the level of vision satisfaction between the quality of vision and symptoms reported by progressive addition lens (PALs). Sixty questionnaires were mailed to the (PALs) wearers aged between 40 years and above from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Vision Care. The strongest correlation was between the quality of vision at intermediate viewing with total satisfaction on seeing grocery shelves and computer screen p<0.001. PALs wearers priority and needs should be considered in selecting the appropriate lens design for required tasks. Keywords: level of satisfaction; quality of vision; multifocal lens; progressive additional lens.eISSN 2398-4279 © 2018. Vague on purpose, the interstitial spaces formed from these concrete “rivers” are referred as lost spaces. This paper aims to explore the urban interstices and investigate its possible usage. Site observation and photographic recordings of a case study were employed. The site characteristics were recorded in which findings suggested that the interstitial spaces have the potential to be planned and designed to cater adjacent community needs and usage. Keywords: Elevated Highways; Interstitial Spaces; Lost Spaces; Possible Usage eISSN 2398-4279 © 2018. This research aims to assess the risk factors and the impact of industrial projects to the environment and surrounding areas. The research employs multi-method strategies: this case study of SAMUR, Sabah includes several interviews, observations, analysis of project documents and questionnaires distributed among the occupants living in the surrounding area. Therefore, design of age-friendly residential buildings and neighbourhoods becomes an important factor leading to improvement in older people’s health and quality of life. This paper presents the current situation of the ageing population in Chinese cities by qualitatively analysing existing literature, design standards and conducting stakeholder interviews to understand older people’s housing choices and aims to identify physical design factors, challenges and potentials of residential design for older people. The findings will fill the knowledge gap of age-friendly residential models in China and guide better design to meet older people’s needs. Keywords: ageing; age-friendly design; residential building; spatial design.eISSN 2398-4279 © 2018. The objectives are to test the impact of neighbourhood sense of place on QoL index. For place attachment, the environmental factors closest to the home of the residents exerted a greater influence than the more distal factor. Thus, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have been used to measure this performance. However, lack of an effective KPIs was identified as a core criticism towards the execution of PFI projects. Therefore, the objectives of the research are to determine the importance and challenges of KPIs in measuring this performance. A qualitative approach via semi-structured interview was adopted. The findings discovered that the current KPIs do not meet the criteria and this can lead to the difficulties in measuring the performance of PFI projects.
