Because of its important role in various biological activities, identification of DBP is a challenge to continue to be developed. DPB identification was initially carried out by the experimental method. However, this method is expensive and takes a lot of time. For this reason, in the last decades machine-based learning methods have been developed. Although several machine learning-based prediction methods have been developed. Research in this field is still open to continuously improving its performance. One of the efforts to improve the prediction performance of DBP is by selecting the appropriate feature vector extraction algorithm from amino acid sequences. In this paper we have used PsePSSM as feature representation and SVM with the RBF kernel combined with FC feature selection as a predictive model. Determination of the best performance is facilitated by evaluating the parameters of PsePSSM, SVM and FC. The results of the evaluation of the best performance parameters achieved an accuracy of 79.45% and AUC of 79.6%.","PeriodicalId":120194,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Information Engineering and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123127680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To build an automated meeting scheduler, we need to examine which approach and constraints suitable for our needs. Unfortunately, we have not found any literature survey that specifically discusses automated meeting schedulers based on the approaches and constraints. To achieve our needs, we did a literature survey from three digital libraries, ACM Digital Library, IEEE, and Springers. We collected, selected, and classified papers in the last decade. We classified the selected papers using four criteria, expressiveness, privacy-preserving, architecture, and approach. Through this classification, we expect an overview of how existing automated meeting scheduling has been built. As a result, we found out that there are significant constraints such as time, priorities, location, and quorum. Privacy-preserving is considered by some studies. The drawback to privacy-preserving is the complexity increase. Even though the centralized architecture is less complex, the most automated meeting scheduler is built-in decentralized architecture. The automated meeting scheduler is mostly built using agent-based approach.","PeriodicalId":120194,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Information Engineering and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122453934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are two viewpoints for the advancement of medical treatments and nursing activities by introducing advanced technologies. The one is the advancement of medical systems to make possible to increase the range of medical treatment and to recover lost functions. On the other hand, the increase of efficiency of medical treatments and nursing activities is also important to decrease the routine works of medical staffs and nursing staffs and to use effectively the facilities and human resources of hospitals and nursing homes. The activities of medicine and nursing are generally categorized into five stages of education and practice of medical staffs and nursing staffs, medical inspection, medical operation, rehabilitation, and life support after rehabilitation. In these stages, various devices and systems are developed to support the activities by applying IT and RT. This paper introduces some examples of the applications for each stage. Then, two projects that the authors have conducted are introduced. The one is virtual reality (VR) based mirror visual feedback (MVF) system for complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). The other is a robotic Mendelsohn maneuver to maintain normal swallowing function of aged person.","PeriodicalId":120194,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Information Engineering and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116948116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sophisticating innovations in educational technologies are highly required to overcome change. Delivering digital content and activities in a distance learning environment has potential advantages in improving the students' engagement in learning. Concept mapping is known to support students' learning process and help them learn better. A concept mapping authoring tool built to support learning with the Kit-Build concept map framework has been developed to incorporate computer technologies into digital concept mapping activities. This research investigates to what extent the students' technology adoption towards the Kit-Build concept map authoring tool as a digital concept mapping tool supports the students to learn English reading comprehension. This research incorporates the Technology Acceptance Model to evaluate students' acceptance towards the tool and uses three external variables, i.e., compatibility, habit, and enjoyment for the TAM model. Most of the result presented in this research is consistent with the original TAM study. Furthermore, compatibility and enjoyment are also identified to significantly affect the students' adoption of the Kit-Build concept map authoring tool.","PeriodicalId":120194,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Information Engineering and Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129254203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
