To improve system performance, many semantic cache models are proposed. In this paper, we first define a new structure of semantic segments index. Then we analyze the detailed query processing and FAR algorithm. For overcoming the shortage of predicting future location in FAR, we propose a new improved algorithm (RBF-FAR) as replacement policy, which use RBFNN to predicate next location instead of velocity in FAR. Using this new replacement policy, we propose a new model for LDQ semantic cache. Unlike previous studies, this paper defines the control right as the discrete variables in the zone of [0, 1]. In order to correctly evaluate investment opportunities and reasonably display the characteristics of phased investment, this paper analyzes the value of venture firms by using real options for different control rights allocation tactics. Regarded firm value as a restraint conditions, a decision-making model is established for quantative study on relationships between venture firm value and allocation of control rights. This paper not only provides the basis for venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to allocate control rights at venture firms and make decisions on investment, but also put forwards an evaluating method for venture firm value under different control rights allocation tactics. It has the potential to become an important and integral component for future e-business applications. Developments in CBIR have drawn interest from many researchers and practitioners in recent years. The challenge is how to retrieve the most appropriate or relevant images at the fastest speed. To increase the retrieval speed, most of the systems pre-process the stored images and extract out the essential features. Such scheme only works well for the server type database system. Such approach is not feasible for systems that analyze images in real-time. In this paper, a hierarchical multi-layer statistical discriminant framework is proposed. The system is able to select the most appropriate features by analyzing the newly received images, and then apply a relevance feedback (RF) approach to improve the retrieval accuracy. In this paper we introduce several concepts targeted towards aligning business processes and service-based systems. The notion of realization levels is introduced to discern the level of business conformance. Furthermore, a model of system' constraints is introduced to guide the developer to process realizations with high business conformance. This poses a new challenge concerning indexing and searching XML data, because conventional approaches based on relational model may not meet the processing requirements for XML data. In this paper, we propose a path index based on Patricia-tries, namely PT index. Our PT index structure offers several novel features. First, it can support to fast search data by its structure based on Patricia-tries. Second, the path indexes are compressed so that they can be stored in memory. Thirdly, because PT index includes structure and text of XML data, we can get the results from the PT index without reading original XML data from disk. We further analyze time complexity and space complexity of PT index. Motivated by a typical scenario that requires location aware converged services described in the paper, key techniques are identified for building such a system. Based on our ongoing research work on NextGen LBS middleware and converged service, we built a location-aware massaging system for coming visitors. By marrying LBS middleware and converged service platform, we experimented LBS running on converged service network, collected requirements of LBS applications to the converged service platform, and explored new features in LBS on the converged service platform.
