The centerpiece of the approach is a model that captures the device infrastructure, business operation structure, and their relationship. Building on the model, a management system can be designed to support various management tasks effectively, such as the enrollment, provisioning, and monitoring of devices. Similarly an application framework can be created for solution developers to create distributed RFID applications. Applications can be written against a business operation model and deployed on an evolving device infrastructure. Since the intermittent connection of mobile device is unpredictable, we need a special architecture for providing reliable grid services such as e-health services. In this paper, we introduce a new mobile-to-grid gateway replication (MGR) architecture for improving the reliability of grid services provided to mobile device. In MGR architecture we integrate mobile-to-grid gateway and grid policy quorum based resource management (PQRM) into one compact system. We also proposed a cost-constraints replication algorithm for calculating the optimal number of replication gateways dependent on users' budget and requirements. In this paper, we propose a unified context model to support representation and reasoning about uncertain context. Our unified context model extends the existing, de-facto ontology-based context models with probabilistic models to support probabilistic reasoning. Especially, our context model can be easily integrated with existing ontology-based context-aware systems. Given the unified context model, unified context ontology can be built and used as frameworks in developing context aware applications. To support rapid and dynamic composition of services, Web services that meet users' functional requirements must be able to be located and bounded dynamically from a large and constantly changing number of service providers based on their quality of service (Qos). In order to enable quality-driven Web service selection, it is necessary to make a rational and effective decision among a number of similar Web services based on Qos criteria and users' preference. In this paper, we present a decision model of Qos criteria called DQos for evaluating Web services, which consists of an extensible Qos model, decision modes and constraints. On basis of systematic studying Qos criteria of Web service, service selection is formulated as multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problem which can be solved by using subjective weight mode, single weight mode, objective weight mode and subjective-objective weight mode. At last, DQos model is proved to be feasible and effective by simulation experiments","PeriodicalId":118472,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'05)","volume":"268 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124035340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective is to establish the organizational impact of strategic alignment, given the environmental uncertainty and the importance of IT to the organization. The rapid development of the Web, in particular, the introduction of the semantic Web and Web service technologies, enables business processes, modeling and management to enter an entirely new stage. Traditional Web based business data and transactions can now be analyzed, extracted and modeled to discover new business rules and to form new business strategies, let alone mining the business data in order to classify customers or products. In this paper, we investigate and analyze the business integration models in the context of Web services using a micro-payment system because a micro-payment system is considered to be a service intensive activity, where many payment tasks involve different forms of services, such as payment method selection for buyers, security support software, product price comparison, etc. We use the micro-payment case to discuss and illustrate how the Web services approaches support and transform the business process and integration model","PeriodicalId":118472,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'05)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125210746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BPM is a new frontier in IT-enabled enterprise that supports the monitoring and control of business operations. BPM solutions must be able to efficiently process business events, compute business metrics, detect business situations, and provide the real-time visibility of key performance indicators. In addition, system support is required for the rapid development of BPM solutions and the adaptation of the solutions to the dynamic business environment. We have adopted a meta-model, dubbed the observation meta-model, for capturing the business requirements for BPM, which frees solution developers from low-level programming concerns. We have also used a hybrid compilation-interpretation approach to map an observation model to the runtime executable. First, we extract and refactor the data aspect of the observation model to facilitate runtime access. Second, we compile the operational aspect of the model, such as logic for metric computation and situation detection, into Java code. Third, we develop a runtime engine that interprets the refactored model and dynamically loads the generated code, according to the meta-model. Our framework further enables the evolution and hot deployment of the observation model and provides the platform for several on-going customer engagement efforts","PeriodicalId":118472,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'05)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117309056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in real environment RSS are impacted by many factors, such as multiple path transmission (multi-path), temperature, body, etc, which harm the accuracy of location. This paper presents a method which uses both the angle of arrival (AOA) and RSS as location fingerprints based on AP scanning. Compared to other WLAN based location systems, this method takes advantages of fewer AP, less suffering from the influence of signal and higher accuracy. Furthermore, in some \"clean\" outdoor/indoor environments, the method can even used to locate WLAN clients without the radio map which is the basic infrastructure of general WLAN based location systems.
