The pollutant is due to many people's and industry's behavior of discharging waste directly into the river. This liquid waste contains solids and chemical compounds that affect river water's acidity (pH). Their pollutant does not meet the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 101/2014. Research has been carried out to manufacture an IoT-based sparing monitoring system device using RUT955 to measure the pH and TSS of industrial wastewater in remote areas. This sparring system uses two sources of electric current: PLN and the sun. Solar electricity stored in the battery is used to overcome the problem of breaking the electricity supply from PLN. The device made has been successfully connected to the internet using the webhook.site platform. Acquisition data storage is carried out using the google spreadsheet platform. The pH and TSS data measured by the sensor sent by RUT955 can be received and displayed on the internet platform. The measurement results that the sensor has carried out need to be calibrated so that the data sent is accurate.","PeriodicalId":118131,"journal":{"name":"FLYWHEEL : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Untirta","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124169426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the modified parts of the vehicle is the footstep feature. This component is beneficial as a support point when getting in and out of the car. Initially, the presence of this component was found in many SUVs, and this is because these types of vehicles generally have high ground clearance, making it difficult for vehicle owners to get into the car. The step function finally changed to make the car look more elegant from the left and right sides. Footstep designs that are common in the market are permanent. When installed in the vehicle, its position protrudes from the car body. Footstep will add to the dimension of the car and is quite annoying when the car crosses a narrow road. Therefore, a footstep mechanism was designed to enter the car body when the door is closed and go down and protrude when the car door is opened. The LDR sensor, which adjusted the LED lights, is applied to ensure adequate lighting for the passengers to see the footsteps in the dark conditions. So, the lighting leads to the footstep board and the side of the car when the door is opened. From the tests carried out, the longest time to open the footstep is 0,84 seconds, and the longest time to close the footstep is 1,09 seconds. These results indicate that the target time has been met, which does not exceed 1,5 seconds with or without load on the experiment.","PeriodicalId":118131,"journal":{"name":"FLYWHEEL : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Untirta","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122831201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, It's wear resistance to withstand the fine sand particles carried out from the oil well is very limited. Cold rolling is one of the mechanical methods used to increase the hardness of SS 304 steel. This method causes a crystalline structure deformation of ss 304 and transforms their phase from austenite to martensite. The phase transformation is followed by the change of magnetic properties of these materials. The increasing percentage of structure deformation is followed by an increase of magnetic saturation value and a change of magnetic coercivity. A large population of martensite phase formed influenced the magnetic saturation value. While deforming of grain shape influenced the magnetic coercivity. The rise of its magnetic property will respond to an external magnetic field. Therefore, the observation of structural deformation of SS 304 can be identified by magnetic interaction.","PeriodicalId":118131,"journal":{"name":"FLYWHEEL : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Untirta","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126642096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the efforts to increase agricultural production in Indonesia is through technology. Watering is an essential component in improving the quality of farming products. Developing farming models can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of watering in farmland management. The monitoring and watering system using IOT has many benefits, including time efficiency, work effectiveness, remote operation, simplicity, and better watering accuracy. In this study, Smart Farming System was used in watering arrangements in the chili plantation area. Data on the sensor is used to analyze the effectiveness of water spraying against soil moisture value. The Smart Farming Device was placed in a coastal area with a hot climate in the chili garden. The experiment was conducted 9 hours from 08.00 – 17.00 WIB (West Indonesian Time). The Device works in a modular manner controlled remotely by the internet network, which works by energy converted from the sunlight. The use of types of sensors and the sensors placed on the farmland will determine the accuracy of the information received by farmers. We found that the spraying water method does not raise the soil moisture from the sensors parameter. We also found that the temperature parameter is not correlated with the sunlight intensity. So we need to add a wind speed sensor to determine the effect of wind blow on the environmental parameters. We concluded that the watering method through soil surface seems more promising in increasing the soil moisture value rather than the water spraying system via air.","PeriodicalId":118131,"journal":{"name":"FLYWHEEL : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Untirta","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129059210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These plastics are categorized as non-degradable materials, and when plastic waste is mishandled, it will harm the environment. Furthermore, Bisphenol A (BPA), commonly used for strengthening plastic properties, might contaminate the foods wrapped in those mentioned plastic materials and adversely affect human health. One of the alternative solutions to reduce crude oil-based plastics as food packaging is edible film packaging. Edible film packaging on a biopolymer basis can be applied as food packaging to replace synthetic plastics and maintain fruit quality at the same time. This research aims to conduct modification and characterization of edible film chitosan-based for food packaging applications. In this research, the composite film was produced from chitosan nanoparticles and cellulose nanocrystal composite and mixed with a variation of plasticizer (glycerol) of 10% w/w in concentration and a variation of KMnO 4 concentration. Mixing of composite material was done at 50 o C with an interpretation of ultrasonic irradiation processes. Then, the composite was characterized by UTM, FTIR. The result showed that the optimum condition was CNC variation by 5% and glycerol by 10%. It gave a tensile strength result of 464.1 MPa. and 266.3 MPa on a nano chitosan-based film. Adding active agent KMnO 4 by as much as 8% can reduce the tensile strength value by 46.3%.","PeriodicalId":118131,"journal":{"name":"FLYWHEEL : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Untirta","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114235334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The copper content varies from 0 wt.%– 5 wt.% to see how the alloy's microstructure and hardness change. The Heat treatment at temperature 510 °C for 5 hours and then cooling to ambient temperature has fostered the dissolution of copper in the crystal and then precipitate during cooling. The results show that the alloying element forms a phase distributed in the matrix of the alloy. Increasing the content of the copper makes the form of the second phase more minor, and at the matrix show, fine particles distributed mostly entire of the surface—the hardness of the alloy increase as the copper content increase. The increase in hardness might come from the fine particle dispersed in the matrix. The onset, endset, and melting temperature tend to decrease as the copper content increase.","PeriodicalId":118131,"journal":{"name":"FLYWHEEL : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Untirta","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125070944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
