The embedded control software design process can be divided into the control logic design phase and the software design phase. MATLAB/Simulink is widely used to build a controller model in the control logic design phase. On the other hand, UML is widely used in the software design phase. We have developed a model transformation tool to automatically transform Simulink models with state transitions, conditional selection of data flows or conditional selection of control flows. The model transformation tool analyzes the data flows and control flows of Simulink models and generates UML models with efficient control flows. We have applied the model transformation tool to a number of Simulink models and have confirmed its usefulness for embedded control software design.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129713366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As high-power electrical equipment is more and more popular, the requirements of battery test capabilities should be varied and increased. The power capability of the proposed module can be easily extended by connecting additional modules in parallel to the original battery test system, thus overcoming the high-cost drawback of redesigning a completely new power module just for a larger capability. A qualified power module should provide the constant-voltage and constant-current source modes, in both the standalone and parallel structures. When the system containing multiple power modules runs in the parallel constant-voltage source mode, different modules may output different currents (i.e., current unbalance occurs) because different modules may have different component impedances and different PCB trace impedances. To keep the currents output from different power modules equal, a current balance controller is designed. Experimental results show that the proposed module and the current balance controller work well.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128570313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

XML on the other hand is widely used to handle data in web environment. XML to data warehouse integration is a subject of interest for the business organization to use the semi-structured XML for analytical processing. However, in this research work we approached the problem in reverse direction. Here we generate equivalent XML schema from the existing data warehouse schema for an organization which does not has the XML platform to manage the web data. The proposed reverse engineering framework uses one of the existing methodologies of converting the XML schema to data warehouse schema. However, we have applied it in a reverse approach. Moreover we have established a formalism to prove the soundness and correctness of both the conversion mechanisms.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129315261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Selecting suitable parametric values for each streaming parameter is one of a crucial factor. This work is concerned with one of the parameters commonly known as `Packetization Interval' which has direct influences on several critical QoS parameters such as packet loss, packet delay and jitters. The experiment on finding a suitable range of packetization interval had been carried out by means of simulation using INET Framework for OMNeT++. The simulations were carried out based on the basic service set scenario in both no interference and coexistence with background traffics. The result reveals that the commonly recommended default packetization interval of 20 ms. fails to yield satisfactory QoS in many scenarios. The study also indicates that a suitable packetization interval for scenarios under this study or similar ones ought to be set within the range of 40 ms-70 ms. The paper also discusses the findings and applications are suggested.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127141805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The features of actuators for these use may be evaluated by output force, output power, stroke, compactness, and so on. The proposed new actuator has better performance in terms of stroke, compactness, and output force compared with existing actuators. Moreover, it does not need a position sensor to detect the mover position. The proposed actuator is an electromagnetic linear mini-actuator with two stators and one moving winding. The direction of the output force can be controlled by changing polarity of the input current. The structure, JMAG simulations, and the experimentally measured data will be presented in this paper.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"268 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127285780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A novel online faults diagnosis strategy based on modified kernel fuzzy C-means (β-MKFCM) is proposed based unsupervised learning algorithms of analog circuit faults diagnosis for the known faults and unknown faults online. More specially, the kernel fuzzy C-means itself can decrease the train samples and eliminate wild values, in this way the training speed and precision of classifier can be improved. In addition, one of the crucial points of the fault diagnosis is to confirm exact class center from the data of known faults. Then, depending on the fault data of each class to obtain the mean value, meanwhile, setting this mean value as the threshold for judging fault and then each data point issued with a class label. During the whole data processing, each data will be compared with the threshold, the high similarity data fall into the known fault class, and while the low similarity data is labeled as unknown fault. Experiment takes the Sallen Key low-pass filter as the diagnosis circuit to prove the effectiveness of the β-MKFCM algorithm. For proving the validity, another RBF fault diagnosis method is employed here. Numerical simulations reveal that the proposed method β-MKFCM has the higher recognition capability than the RBF method for the known fault and unknown fault. Meanwhile, the fault diagnosis speed and precision of the β-MKFCM are all superior to that of the traditional supervised mechanism, precision.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127148875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Appropriate generation rate constraints (GRC) is considered for each unit. The performance of proposed 2-DOF-FOPID controller is compared with different classical controllers for both the systems. Selection of optimum parameters of all the controllers are done using a Cuckoo search Algorithm (CSA). Critical examinations clearly reveal that proposed 2-DOF-FOPID controller provides much better performances compared to conventional controllers. The superiority of proposed controller is found in views of reduced peak overshoots and oscillations and improved settling time. Furthermore, robustness of the proposed 2-DOF-FOPID controller parameters is examined through sensitivity analysis.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129982507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a design and implementation of attitude control of a co-axial octocopter (CAO). The dynamic model of a CAO is obtained from making the configuration similar to a quadcopter. In order to stabilize the attitude control of CAO, we propose a Fuzzy+PID design of the attitude controller. Both computer simulation and real-time experiments have been carried out by using LabVIEW programming. In the simulation, we investigated the performance of the proposed Fuzzy+PID controller and tuned the controller parameters. NI-MyRio has been chosen to implement the controller onboard the octocopter. The practical experiments show that the proposed Fuzzy+PID controllers can handle the disturbances during flying and have certain robustness against the environmental conditions. The experimental results validate the simulations and verify the effectiveness of the developed controller.","PeriodicalId":116715,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126942472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
