This study deals with the most important part of the engine responsible for generating a large part of its tensile force - the fan. In this case too, it is a heavily loaded component. Combinations of different types of loads place great emphasis on its design. For verification and design of suitable geometry, stress and strain analysis was performed using the finite element method, which proved the resistance of the proposed solution under static load conditions. In the next step it is necessary to check the designed design also for the conditions of dynamic stress during engine life. The results of the above mentioned analyzes presuppose the successful realization and safe operation of the prototype shaft-less turbofan engine.","PeriodicalId":115756,"journal":{"name":"2019 Modern Safety Technologies in Transportation (MOSATT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128174791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Further, the system description is presented and on its basis hazards and risks are identified and later analysed. The main objective of this paper is to review the safety of the system during multiple instrument approaches and to refer to the future potential of GNSS. Today a variety of systems are installed on-board of commercial airliners for navigation during the different phases of flight. Ground-based radio navigation aids, such as VOR/DME or NDB, are used for continental en-route and non-precision approach operations. For precision approaches an instrument landing system (ILS) is necessary. These systems have their limitations; aircraft must follow pre-defined air traffic routes which has an unfavourable effect on the capabilities of Air Traffic Flow Management. The Free Route Airspace is currently used in Europe. It is a specified airspace in which users can freely plan a route between a defined entry point and a defined exit point. Nowadays, the air traffic develops rapidly which causes delays. This is one of the reasons why a system such as GNSS is so essential. Ultimately, GNSS could replace all traditional radio navigation aids, even though there are still technical, operational and institutional issues to be resolved before reaching this goal. Our paper describes the safety evaluation of GNSS based instrument approaches at the Zilina airport (LZZI). GNSS has many sub-systems, which are known as augmentation systems. Each of them has their potential, advantages and disadvantages. We will focus mostly on the EGNOS+GPS core satellite system usage at LZZI. Since we have been evaluating the safety of the instrument approach on a concrete airport we will have to consider all sub-systems which take part in performing the procedure, for example airport systems, ATC, aircraft equipment, flight crew and the GNSS system itself. The methodology or guidance used for this paper is derived from the CAP 760 by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. The risk assessment and mitigation process will be presented through steps logically excepted from the CAP 760 seven-step process.","PeriodicalId":115756,"journal":{"name":"2019 Modern Safety Technologies in Transportation (MOSATT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129275121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

DME is used in air traffic. We use Kalman filtering for this analysis. The Kalman filtering is a useful method for estimating the current and future state of the dynamic system. Kalman’s filter is optimal for linear dynamic systems. However, most systems are nonlinear. We present the possibilities of modeling the distance measurement by a navigational distance meter operating under disturbance conditions. Such operating conditions of the radio navigation distance measuring equipment are typical for their use in air transport.","PeriodicalId":115756,"journal":{"name":"2019 Modern Safety Technologies in Transportation (MOSATT)","volume":"275 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123295382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basic premise of creating an anti-collision system is that all flying objects (FO) work in the aviation communications network and each of the flying objects transmits their location information. An important condition for the operation of the proposed anti-collision system is a synchronous communication network. We expect that communication messages to be broadcast by every user at a specified time. All network participants are informed when another network participant is broadcasting. The principle of relative navigation is based on this. We have designed an anti-collision system using this principle.","PeriodicalId":115756,"journal":{"name":"2019 Modern Safety Technologies in Transportation (MOSATT)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122471995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although technology has advanced aviation by leaps and bounds, it is still dependent on non-renewable fossil fuel sources and contributes to CO2 production. This topic is not new; it has been prioritized by various organizations for several years, including the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO and the European Union. In our paper, we aggregated data on transport performance and the impact of aviation on CO2 production over 15 years and analyzed them. Despite the increasing demand for aviation, we can identify the slowdown in CO2 emissions production by aviation. However, given the expected growth in demand over the next decades, it is clear that CO2 production by aviation will increasingly be a problem.","PeriodicalId":115756,"journal":{"name":"2019 Modern Safety Technologies in Transportation (MOSATT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124380606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the paper is to recommend a more suitable design and principle design used in the construction of two different types of ceilometers commonly used in Europe, based on the recommendations of a group of experts with more than ten years of experience in aviation weather measurement and observation. With increasing air traffic density, in some areas located below the flight paths, Cirrus clouds may form under appropriate meteorological conditions, which do not dissipate immediately but expand into layers. This artificial cloud formation changes the optical transmittance of the atmosphere, and this may affect climate change in the region. Although the ceilometer is primarily designed to detect the height of the cloud base using laser technology, after some adjustments, the raw laser output can be interpreted as the optical transmittance of the atmosphere. The data thus measured can be used to quantify climate change in the areas concerned. As part of preparing the project for the EU Horizon 2020 challenge, the team of experts decided to systematically address this issue. Identifying a suitable monitoring facility for the presence of man-made cloud due to air traffic is a crucial step in the experimental verification of climate change in a given region and the subsequent modeling of possible climate scenarios for the affected areas.","PeriodicalId":115756,"journal":{"name":"2019 Modern Safety Technologies in Transportation (MOSATT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126358403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
