The XRD and SEM results indicated that the alloy ribbon has a fully amorphous structure. The thermal behavior of the alloy ribbon was determined using flash differential scanning calorimetry (Flash DSC). According to Flash DSC results, the amorphous alloy ribbon exhibited distinct glass transition temperature (T g ) and wide supercooled liquid region (ΔT x = T x − T g ) before crystallization. Accordingly, T g and ΔT x are 195 °C and 63 °C, respectively. Mechanical behavior of the Mg-based alloy at room temperature was determined by means of Vickers microhardness (HV) tester. The microhardness value of the alloy ribbon was measured 336,8 HV. The discharge capacity of the Mg65Ni25Y5B5 alloy reached 313 mAhg−1. In order to clarify the effects of Cr on δ phase precipitation and the mechanical properties in cast alloy IN625, the aging treatment experiments on cast alloy IN625 with different Cr additions were carried. It was revealed that the precipitation of δ phase in cast alloy IN625 after aging at 750 °C was nearly unaffected by Cr content. The tensile properties of cast alloy IN625 appeared to be insensitive to Cr content, but sensitive to δ phase. Stress rupture tests showed that, the rupture time of aged alloys increased when compared to the solid solution alloys.
