After the previous studies which were concerned with the production of a learned multi-agent model based on Boltzmann Machine learning algorithm and also the evaluation of the learning of a learned system in sugarscape, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the learning done after adding the two parameters of communication and cooperation to the sugarscape learned model. Thus a cellular learned multi-agent model with use of Boltzmann Machine learning algorithm based on sugarscape model was considered. In this model, each agent has been allocated with a parameter that indicates the knowledge of the agent. Once all agents reach sugar peaks it means that all agents have become knowledgeable and the model has converged. After that the two parameters of communication and cooperation are added to the given model and for each one of the models the number of agents present in sugar peaks after the model had reached convergence per the specific number of agents has been measured. After analyzing the resulting diagram it was concluded that after the convergence of the model, the average number of knowledgeable agents in learned model with communication and cooperation is higher than the number of knowledgeable agents in learned model without use of communication and cooperation. Therefore communication and cooperation of the agents causes to increase the learning done in the environment.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130170928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system includes acquisiton terminals, routing nodes, an ethernet gateway and a server. The terminals are solar powered with no external power supply, which can be flexibly deployed. Through multiple sensors connected to it, the system can collect the environmental information, including both the temperature and humidity of the air and the soil, the concentration of the carbon dioxide and the intensity of the illumination etc., and then transmits the collected data to the server for further query and analysis, which provides the reliable data support for the cropping. Currently, the system has been successfully assembled and operates properly in the agricultural field of Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Inner Mongolia and many other provinces and cities in China.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130211325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An important merit is that only measured output errors of current and previous cycles are used to design a synthetic ILC controller consisting of dynamic output feedback plus feedforward control, for the convenience of implementation. By introducing a slack variable matrix to construct a less comprehensive two-dimensional (2D) difference Lyapunov function that guarantees monotonical state energy decrease in both the time and batchwise directions, sufficient conditions are established in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints for holding robust stability of the closed-loop ILC system. By solving these LMI constraints, the ILC controller is explicitly formulated, together with an adjustable robust H infinity performance level. An illustrative example of injection molding is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and merits of the proposed ILC design.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134407508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its potential applications include location sensitive billing, asset tracking, fraud protection, mobile yellow pages, fleet management, etc. Several location techniques using terrestrial wireless network elements and radio signals have been proposed over the years, but multipath propagation, multiple access interference (MAI), and non-line-of-sight propagation have impeded the accuracy in mobile station (MS) positioning. Traditional location algorithms have derived location estimates assuming single user environment. However this assumption is not correct as measurement bias is introduced due to MAI. An interference cancellation based delay locked loop (DLL) for MS delay estimation is proposed in this paper, which is subsequently used for radio location. A system model is presented and simulations are carried out that show that proposed method provides MS position location quite accurately even in the presence of MAI.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134562099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But because of inaccuracies of system modeling and other reasons, when the disturbance or observation anomaly appears, UKF filtering algorithm does not have the ability of tracking the mutation state of system, so the system is likely to become unstable. In this paper, the reasons for cause these problems of UKF are analysed firstly, and then, some improvements are made to it. Then, this paper gives a detailed introduction of unscented transform, according the theory of strong tracking filter, puts forward a new kind of variable gain unscented Kalman filter. At last, this paper does some simulation experiment to compare variable gain UKF filter with standard UKF. The results show that the variable gain UKF has the ability of tracking the mutation state of system when the disturbance or observation anomaly appears, and variable gain UKF really makes the system more robust and stable.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134314811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We assume that the target exhibits mirror symmetry. By mirror symmetry, we mean that the left hand side of a target is the mirror image of the right hand side of the same target, and the probability of detection is maximal when a target is viewed at zero degree while that probability is minimal when viewed at ninety degrees and is monotonous between the maximum and the minimum. The optimal strategy consists of choosing n look angles to inspect a target such that the probability of detection is maximal. We use a novel combination of variational calculus, symmetry principles, number theory and algebra to determine analytically the optimal angles. The solutions will help the operators plan for an effective strategy in a generic search and detection operation. Such a strategy is robust as most targets of interest possess approximate mirror symmetry.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131886174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here two types of glucose dynamics are defined, the general dynamics and the output-relevant predictive dynamics. The concerned important issues are whether the underlying glucose dynamics change from subject to subject? Can a global (or universal) empirical model be developed from glucose data for a single subject and then used to explain the glucose dynamics for other subjects? These and related issues are investigated using multivariate statistical analysis methods based on clinical data for two groups of subjects. Together, these findings provide insights into more efficient development of data-driven models to understand and capture the glucose information in diabetes subjects.","PeriodicalId":114901,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125209182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
