The material was subsequently employed as adsorbent for the efficient capture of o-nitrophenol (ONP) from aqueous solutions. With the change of the ratio of MgO template to waste PET, the prepared porous carbon has controllable specific surface area. The sample of WPC-1.5 exhibits a remarkable specific surface area of 885.99 m 2 /g. Static adsorption experiments demonstrate that this material possesses a substantial adsorption capacity for ONP, achieving a value of 474 mg/g. The WPC-1.5 was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, BET and adsorption kinetic and equilibrium isotherms evaluation.","PeriodicalId":11445,"journal":{"name":"E3S Web of Conferences","volume":"536 1","pages":"02015-02015"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.e3s-conferences.org/articles/e3sconf/pdf/2024/66/e3sconf_eppct2024_02015.pdf","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147908915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such a nanotube could act as an element of a sensor device for environmental protection. The simulation was performed within a molecular cluster model using the DFT computational method, the B3LYP functional and the 6-31G basis set. The main characteristics of nanotube functionalization, its sorption and sensory activity with respect to the alkali metal atoms Li, Na, and K are obtained. It is concluded that the system can be used to detect the presence of alkali metal atoms.","PeriodicalId":11445,"journal":{"name":"E3S Web of Conferences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"57816970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The two forms of logic are not interchangeable, and therefore AI's limited utility in command - both tactical and strategic - is not something that can be solved by more data or more computing power. Most research on xenobiotics has focused on the gut microbiota while neglecting other body sites, yet over two-thirds of pharmaceuticals are primarily excreted in urine. As a result, the urinary microbiota is exposed to many xenobiotics in much higher concentrations than in the gut. Microbial xenobiotic biocatalysis in the bladder has implications for urinary tract infections and the emergence of antibiotic resistance. However, we have limited knowledge of biotransformations catalyzed by the urinary microbiota. In this perspective, we investigated differences in physicochemical conditions and microbial community composition between the gut and urinary tract. We used a comparative enzyme class mining approach to profile the distribution of xenobiotic-transforming enzyme homologs in genomes of urinary bacteria. Our analysis revealed a discontinuous distribution of enzyme classes even among closely related organisms. We detected diverse amidase homologs involved in pharmaceutical and dietary additive biotransformation pathways, pinpointing microbial candidates to validate for their involvement in xenobiotic transformations in urine. Overall, we highlight the biocatalytic potential of urinary tract bacteria as a lens to study how the human microbiota may respond and adapt to xenobiotic inputs.</p>","PeriodicalId":11445,"journal":{"name":"E3S Web of Conferences","volume":"1 1","pages":"424-431"},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2023-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79862503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In parallel with traditional reference texts, online internet search via Google Image Search (GIS) is commonly used and offers an accessible fund of reference images for ophthalmology trainees seeking rapid exposure to images of retinal pathology. However, the accuracy and quality of this tool within this context is unknown. We aim to evaluate the accuracy and quality of GIS images of selected retinal pathologies. <b>Methods</b>  A cross-sectional study was performed of GIS of 15 common and 15 rare retinal diseases drawn from the American Academy of Ophthalmology residency textbook series. A total of 300 evaluable image results were assessed for accuracy of images and image source accountability in consultation with a vitreoretinal surgeon. <b>Results</b>  A total of 377 images were reviewed with 77 excluded prior to final analysis. A total of 288 (96%) search results accurately portrayed the retinal disease being searched, whereas 12 (4%) were of an erroneous diagnosis. More images of common retinal diseases were from patient education Web sites than were images of rare diseases ( <i>p</i>  < 0.01). Significantly more images of rare retinal diseases were found in peer-reviewed sources ( <i>p</i>  = 0.01). <b>Conclusions</b>  GIS search results yielded a modest level of accuracy for the purposes of ophthalmic education. Under the deregulated electricity market, IES operator gains profits by providing customers with energy service, including electricity, heat or cooling energy. With the deepening of market reform, higher penetration rate of renewable energy, economic risks embed in the IES. Based on this, an optimal scheduling model of regional IES considering uncertainties is proposed, aiming at maximizing the profits. Scenario analysis method has been adopted to model the uncertainties: Markov-Chain-Monte-Carlo (MCMC) sampling method, which has a better performance in fitting the probability distribution, is utilized to generate scenarios; K-means clustering method is applied to narrow down the sampling sets. By replacing the parameters in the deterministic model with the sampling sets, a series of optimal results can be achieved. The case study shows that the cooling storage tank can improve the economic benefits about 4.97% by converting electricity to cooling energy at lower price period and releasing energy at peak hours. Besides, through the proposed optimization model, operators can have a straight understanding of the venture brought by the uncertainties and a more reliable scheduling result is formed for reference.","PeriodicalId":11445,"journal":{"name":"E3S Web of Conferences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42220935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
