This study aims to solve the source of waste from toothbrush filament during production. This PBT/PA6 mixture does not meet the mechanical properties due to the incompatibility of these two plastics, which means this waste must be discarded and cannot be reused. When combined with CB, it creates a new type of plastic with more stable mechanical properties that can be applied in many areas of life and, at the same time, helps manufacturing businesses save on waste treatment costs. To create these PBT/PA6/CB blends, the research team used injection molding with a PBT/PA6 ratio of 75/25 combined with 0, 4, 8, and 12 % carbon black. The tensile and impact strength were tested according to the ASTM D638 and ASTM D256 standards. The results found that when adding 4 % CB to the PBT/PA6 plastic mixture, the tensile strength decreased from 34.9 to 34.8 MPa. Meanwhile, the tensile strength is improved when adding 8 % CB (35.3 MPa). At 12 % CB, a difference in tensile strength results, decreasing to 29.7 MPa. This result shows that the ratio 75/25 can give the best tensile strength value of the PBT/PA6 mixture with 8 wt. % CB. The impact strength was 3.5, 2.9, and 2.7 kJ/m2 according to 4, 8, and 12 % CB samples. Mechanical quality tests have shown that the tensile strength is improved when combining CB into the PBT/PA6 mixture, but the impact strength is reduced. SEM results show that most CB interacts with PBT/PA6 mainly because the PA6 particles are spherical and tend to separate easily from the mixture. The research found that increasing CB density worsens the bonding ability between PBT and PA6. These results help us provide experience for the most appropriate application for each purpose","PeriodicalId":11433,"journal":{"name":"Eastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies","volume":"294 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140417976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A task to determine the rational structure of a multi-layer technical fabric for power clamps has been solved, which makes it possible to achieve an effect when introduced into production through the minimization of raw material costs and the reduction of energy costs for manufacturing a unit of products. The value of the beating force, the tension of warp threads of the outer protective layers, the force layers, the warp threads for connecting the outer protective layers, and the force layers for two structures of multilayer technical fabric were studied. A comparative analysis of conditions for the formation of two multilayer fabrics from polyamide threads was carried out and a multilayer fabric with the most rational structure was selected, the formation of which would require less technological effort. Experimental studies have made it possible to build regression dependences on determining the influence of the initial tension of warp threads of the outer protective layers on the beating force value. The joint effect of the size of an overstep and the different tension of a shed on the beating force value was established, depending on the structure of a multilayer technical fabric. It is shown that when the tension of warp threads of the outer protective layers increases, the beating force value increases. A value of the tension of warp threads in outer protective layers, force layers, warp threads for connecting the outer protective layers and force layers in the position of an overstep and at the moment of thread beating was determined. Analysis of regression dependences will make it possible to determine the optimal loading parameters of the loom. It has been proven that the beating force value is affected by the structure of a multi-layer technical fabric and the tension of warp threads in outer protective layers. The target optimization for this study is a reactor designed to operate for 20 years, with excess reactivity throughout the reactor operational cycle consistently below 1.00 % dk/k. The analysis involves dividing the reactor core into three fuel regions with 233U enrichment levels ranging from 3 % to 8 %, with a 1 % difference for each fuel region. To achieve optimum conditions, 231Pa was randomly added to the fuel. The fuel volume fraction in this design varied from 30 % to 65 %, with a 5 % incremental variation. Power level variations are also studied within the 300–500 MWth with increments of 50 MWth. Calculations were performed using the Standard Reactor Analysis Code (SRAC) program with the PIJ and CITATION modules for cell and core calculations utilizing JENDL4.0 nuclide data. Neutronic calculations indicate that the fuel with a 60 % volume fraction achieves optimum conditions at a power level of 300 MWth. The best performance was observed with a fuel volume fraction of 65 %, reaching optimum conditions across power levels ranging from 300 to 500 MWth. For the fuel with the best performance, the power density distributions for low and high power levels follow the same pattern radially and axially. The power peaking factor (PPF) for all fuel configurations approaching the optimum conditions remains below two, a safe limit for the PWR. Other neutronic safety parameters, such as the Doppler coefficient and void fraction coefficient, also stay within the safe limits for the PWR, with both values remaining negative throughout the reactor operational cycle","PeriodicalId":11433,"journal":{"name":"Eastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies","volume":"7 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140418181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The manual mixing and casting of road pavement concrete underscore the importance of concrete quality as a critical parameter. This study investigates crack behavior by varying concrete quality. Loading is performed statically using line loads, shedding light on the impact of concrete quality on crack development. The concrete to be used has a quality fc' of 15 MPa, 25 MPa, and 35 MPa. The fine aggregate used in this study was Lumajang black sand, while the coarse aggregate used was machine crushed stone, and Portland Composite Cement (PCC) was used in all concrete mixes. The reinforcing steel used had a quality fy of 480 MPa, with a reinforcement ratio of ρ=0.010, which was converted to 5-D16 reinforcement. The subgrade density used to support the specimens had a CBR value of 10 %. Specimen dimensions were 2×0.6×0.2 m for length, width, and thickness. Pavement plates, 30 cm thick, were placed on leveled subgrade soil in a steel box set to achieve a 6 % CBR reading. Hydraulic jacks, monitored by a load cell, applied monotonic static loading with 2 kN intervals, reaching a maximum load of 200 kN. Steel tension and plate settlement were measured using a tension sensor and Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT), respectively. A data logger recorded readings, and crack widths were captured by a digital microscope with 0.01 mm accuracy. Experimental results show that low concrete compressive strength values result in larger crack widths, and vice versa. Cracks also occur at earlier loading of concrete quality fc' 15 MPa. With digital innovation, companies can move more freely in achieving sustainability performance, because digitalization is a cross-border discipline. Empirical studies that directly link digital innovation, sustainability and accounting are still very limited. To fill this gap, this study aims to examine the role of green accounting in the influence of human capacity building, digital innovation, and sustainability strategy on sustainability performance. This study employs quantitative content analysis on the annual reports and sustainability in the industrial sector listed on the IDX 2021–2022, comprising a total of 792 observational data using the PLS. The research results indicate that an increase of 32 % in human capacity building, 14 % in digital innovation and 12 % in sustainability strategy has a significant impact on sustainability performance. Another finding shows the results that green accounting is only able to strengthen the influence of digital innovation on sustainability performance and the rest weakens and does not even have a role as a moderating variable. The implications of this study are theoretically the development of new measures of digital innovation for the industrial sector. The practical implications suggest that to enhance sustainability performance, digital innovation is needed, starting from a pervasive digital culture extending to various aspects, including digital products, services & solution, digital supply chains, and digital accounting.
