Games often provide very adequate problems for the use of MAS. In the field of Games, Unity is one of the most used video game engines and allows the development of intelligent agents in 2D/3D virtual environments. However, although Unity allows working in multi-agent environments it does not provide functionalities to facilitate the development of genuine MAS. One crucial functionality is to allow agents to communicate and understand each other through an agent communication language (ACL). The objective of this work is to supply Unity with this capacity, adding support for the creation, sending and reception of messages. As a result, a communication system and an ACL are provided that facilitate the development of MAS in Unity, allowing to solve problems that require collaborative solutions among agents.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114417477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such technological trend that involves several aspects of daily life, allows the residents of the space to better customize and control their environment. SLS emphasizes, mainly, energy conservation, convenience and comfort as well as health care concerns. They are gradually realized in practical applications e.g. household appliances and medical and care systems. The SLS related applications are intended to improve the quality of life for users by ensuring that their needs are met, thereby producing more sustainable use of energy in a given living space. Moreover, the development of SLS technology makes the devices around us “smart”. This has brought lot of challenges, one of which is the access control management. In a SLS, there has to be a robust access control mechanism in place in order to ensure an authorized access to devices. This paper focuses on the use of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) model as an efficient means to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to devices in a Smart Building. Then, to guarantee that only the approved users can access the devices, a Smart Building Manager (SBM) is required to ask an evaluation engine to evaluate requests. We separate the evaluation as a third party in the smart building in which we propose RBAC with domains that stands our policy model. We implement the policy model for the aim to ensure a fine grained access control to a smart building application while evolving from a mono-user to a multi-user.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128315750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose to build them automatically and on the fly by composition of software components present at the time in the environment, but without prior expression of the user’s needs or process specification or composition model. In order to produce knowledge useful for automatic composition in the absence of an initial guideline, we have developed a generic solution based on lifelong online reinforcement learning. It is decentralized within a multi-agent system where agents learn incrementally from user feedback to satisfy her/him. Different use cases have been experimented in which applications, adapted to the user and the situation, are composed and emerge automatically and continuously.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"PP 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126437209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This estimation can be influenced by a wide range of quality affecting factors. In this work, we provide standard definitions, we review and survey existing models to classify QoE Influence Factors (IFs). Moreover, we present a classification of the QoE IFs into four groups: system factors, context factors, human factors, and social-behavioral factors. Finally, regarding the QoE IFs, we highlight some relevant studies. We believe that our overview and findings can provide an understanding of the related quality affecting factors and QoE assessment approaches over video communications.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134332974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These devices are more and more interdependent, either by guaranteeing connectivity, or by providing data for complex services. In an ever-evolving IoT context, continuously managing these connected objects is crucial, to handle vulnerabilities, ensure their well-functioning, and add new services. These features fall under the scope of Device Management (DM). The distribution and scalability of DM platforms become all the more exacerbated as device profiles and deployment use cases get more heterogeneous. Thus, multiple actors are involved in IoT services, with their respective, isolated, DM platforms. However, DM operations, such as reboots and firmware updates, have a direct impact on the state of devices, which requires awareness across DM platforms. In this paper, we address conflicts linked to connectivity dependencies, which may arise during the simultaneous execution of DM operations on interdependent devices. Hence, we propose a coordinator that collects DM operation intentions from isolated DM platforms and detects the relevant dependencies, so as to plan and orchestrate the execution of these operations. An evaluation of this middleware is presented, with perspectives for industrial applications.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128869188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These demographic changes call attention to new challenges regarding adequate aging-in-place strategies. Since the majority of the senior population spend up to 90% of their time indoors, appropriate and comfortable housing represents an important foundation for such strategies. In this respect, different types of data gathered from sensors, connected devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies come to play an important role to support services for the elderly population in indoor environments. One of the aspects of concern is thermal comfort. In this paper, we introduce a new deep learning-based model framework named STCMS, that uses both Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) and Deep Neural Networks (DNN) architectures, dedicated to predicting thermal comfort for elderly people. Experiments based on the publicly available dataset, show that our proposed models outperform the pioneering approaches of the literature on the agreed assessment metrics, particularly with an accuracy that varies between 80.29% to 88.16% using only internal and external temperatures data. The proposed approach can be used as a smart thermostat solution integrated into smart home ecosystems dedicated to elderly people. Thus, it would contribute simultaneously to improve their well-being and to reduce energy consumption and health costs.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127411155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
