Converting and publishing such data involves several challenges, e.g., data unifying, design decisions, knowledge extraction. In this paper, we aim to address this issue by proposing an end-to-end framework, based on linked open data technologies. This framework assists the user to produce and publish structured Linked Data in an e-Government context. Our aim is to enable data consumers to access to an end-to-end solution, allowing them to produce and publish high-quality data on the web, that meet their needs. To assess our framework, we use a real case study, relying on a local government catalogue.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128506368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Existing iPaaS solutions present several out-of-the-box connectors and automation engines for easier integration of customers’ projects, but show issues regarding overall adaptation outside their scope, brand locking, and occasionally high prices. Moreover, existing platforms fail to respond adequately to the needs of deploying multiple decision models capable of offering automated or semi-automated management of processes, thanks to the integration of the large diversity of data and event sources as well as the different physical or logical action entities. With the popularization of open-source software and applications such as BPM Engines, Machine Learning libraries, and Integration suites and libraries, it is possible to develop a fully customizable and adaptable, open-source iPaaS that can be used both in and outside industrial applications. In this paper, we propose a generic iPaaS architecture implemented on the basis of several open source solutions boasting integration, interoperability, and automated decision-making capabilities in the domain of Agriculture 4.0. A proof-of-concept based on these solutions is presented, as well as a case study on MAÏSADOUR’s grain storage process with a comparison with the currently human-operated tasks.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127599988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, an accurate estimation of the energy consumption of such devices is required for energy-efficient improvements. This paper presents Energy Measurement Model (EMM), an energy estimation tool for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. It is a software-based model used to estimate the local energy consumption of a device by taking into consideration CPU utilization. The error rate of our model averages at 1.25%. Using this model, we study the energy impact of a set of algorithms, programming languages and compilers.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128344988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These risks are exacerbated by the highly fragmented nature of the industrial IoT market which imposes interoperability management and challenges security.We propose an approach to enable end-to-end data security within a heterogeneous IoT deployment. Interoperability is ensured by a central network powered by oneM2M interacting with various tier protocols. In this paper, we focus on secure communication with ZigBee and discuss how it can be transposed to other protocols, namely Z-Wave and Thread.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130856404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, as the simuland and the simulation technologies got more and more complicated, the modeling and simulation became a complex task which eventually required a systems engineering approach. IEEE 1730-2010 Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP) has been published in 2010 as a process framework to help systems engineers in the execution of the several technical and organizational activities which encompass the simulation development life-cycle. It includes a set of high-level best practices and guidelines, particularly for component based distributed simulations. Recent advances in cloud technologies and service-oriented architecture led to Modeling and Simulation as a Service (MSaaS) - a ground breaking paradigm shift from component based technologies that is now changing how we model and simulate. This paper not only presents a critical review, but also proposes revision to DSEEP for supporting the systems engineering effort for modeling and simulation in a cloud-based and service-oriented context.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116386474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They appear to be very practical, however, the location of user is constantly being tracked, hoarded, and monitored by tech giants without user knowledge and consent. Google keeps an eye on every motion of its users, irrespective of their security settings. For this study, various Android smartphones were carried through different places for one week without the availability of internet and location services. Later, thorough network traffic analysis revealed that the archived data collected by Google apps and services, contained location data as well. This data is transferred to Google as soon as the internet connection becomes available. Moreover, a detailed performance analysis of existing fake GPS location applications was conducted that revealed a plethora of weaknesses in their performance and none of them aimed to secure users’ real location coordinates. In this paper, we present an interesting solution to obfuscate Android users’ real location coordinates, even in off-line mode, thereby, guaranteeing location privacy.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131877131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose an approach based on Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) combined with semantic annotations, to automate data service development on top of data sources. Our work contributes to the development of integrated service-based architectures driven by automatic service generation, data integration from existing environmental systems and automatic service annotations. Our solution, applied to the detection of natural disasters, provides 1) appropriate modelling of data sources and services to apply model-to-text (M2T) transformations, 2) automatic generation of Representational State Transfer (REST) data service code template, 3) automatic generation of semantically annotated Hypermedia-based descriptors of these services. We have implemented and evaluated our solution with a set of real data sources provided by the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS), OpenWeatherMap and CHIRPS.","PeriodicalId":114214,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132096091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
