The proposed system uses sensors to find the traffic conditions to dynamically control the traffic. Prevailing static traffic control system may block emergency vehicles such as ambulance due to traffic congestion. The proposed Efficient Dynamic Traffic Control System (EDTCS) has Traffic Control Unit (TCU), Monitor Unit (MU) and Road Side Unit (RSU). RSU contains RFID reader which reads the unique RFID code for an emergency vehicle and send it to MU. MU uses sensors such as proximity switch and RFID tags to get the count of normal and emergency vehicles respectively and sensed information is sent to TCU. TCU receives the count of normal and emergency vehicles and changes the signal dynamically by comparing the count obtained from different lanes. The great challenge of the information retrieval system is to retrieve the related relevant information from the heterogeneous web resources. This paper aims for the retrieval of the relevant geo-spatial concepts from the geo-spatial ontology which aids application in quality testing of water and flood prediction. In the geo-spatial concept space, the retrieval of relevant geo-spatial concepts depends on the distance separating the two geo-spatial concepts and the context of the concepts. Research in geo-spatial information retrieval has used either the semantic distance between the geo-spatial concepts or the context of the concepts for computing the relevancy. This paper proposes HCC (Hybrid Conceptual Context) algorithm which aims at retrieving relevant geo-spatial concepts by considering both the semantic distance and the context on which the concepts occur in the geo-spatial space. This work computes the semantic similarity by measuring the semantic distance using Euclidean and Manhattan distance measure. This computation is carried out in two steps such as retrieval of semantically similar geo-spatial concepts and the retrieval of context dependent geo-spatial concepts. Semantic similarity computation in HCC algorithm retrieves contextually and semantically similar relevant geo-spatial concepts using Euclidean distance and Manhattan distance measures. Experiments have been done using Ordnance Survey Master Map datasource and geo-spatial ontology. Traditional approaches require applying a battery of different classifiers to the image with a large number of complex features used to detect the objects. Specialized detectors usually excel in performance, while the class-specific features increase detection accuracy, but at the expense of complexity. In this paper, an efficient method of human face and car detection using cascaded structure of independent object classifiers is proposed. The approach is based on background elimination using statistical features, followed by foreground detection using Principal component analysis (PCA) and Histogram of Gradients (HoG) with SVM classifier. For detecting the object of interest from the image, the system primarily filters the potential object area by analyzing the local histogram distribution. After background elimination, the trained classifier detects foreground using higher order parameters like PCA for human faces and HOG for cars. In this paper, the kernel function for SVM classifier, suitable for individual object classifier is analysed based upon ROC-AUC parameter. The proposed system is implemented in Matlab. While progress has greatly benefited the broader “able” population, those with disabilities are largely ignored, and must often force-fit available solutions or wait for add-on features that only partially solve usability issues. Given the diversity of disabilities, a person-centered rather than human-centered approach is needed. Previously, we proposed enriching the design philosophy of HCMC by considering perspectives from disabilities. More recently, we have proposed Person-Centered Multimedia Computing (PCMC) to emphasize individual user needs and co-adaptive systems. In this paper, we present an interdisciplinary approach to realizing person-centered accessible technologies. The basis of the approach is three complementary research thrusts: human-centered design, socio-personal dynamics, and socio-technological practices. These research thrusts are interconnected through three perspectives of disability research: technology, adaptation and policy. It does not have centralized administration. So MANETs in open environment, easily attacked by malicious nodes because any node can join at any time in the network. AODV is a most traditional routing protocol used for MANET, which selects the shortest path for routing and it affects the data communication if any malicious node present in the shortest path. Proposed model uses the combination of trust and energy value based routing protocol called Energy and Trust Based AODV routing protocol (ET-AODV) to establish a most trusted routes by providing modification to AODV protocol. In proposed technique each node estimates its neighbor's trust value and energy value that is one node has for another node during communication dynamically. Adding trust value and energy value new root value is calculated and maintained in every neighbor table. Using root value trusted routes are established by two methods that are single value routing and multiple value routing and isolate the malicious nodes from the network. This technique only considers the black hole attack which can easily interrupt the communication path. Multicarrier techniques based on OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) have been the technique of choice for sharing the spectrum due to their flexibility in deactivating the sub-carriers to avoid interference to primary licensed users. However, OFDMA based techniques are associated with certain issues such as high PAPR, which is especially harmful at the user equipment (UE) end. Single Carrier FDMA (SC-FDMA) for uplink has been proposed as one of the solutions for reducing the PAPR (Peak-to-Average-Power-Ratio) at UE end. SC-FDMA may utilize localized mapping or the distributed mapping techniques to allocate the sub-carriers to the different users. In spectrum pooling, the availability of free sub-carriers depends upon spectral activity of the licensed user which is unpredictable and considered random. As a result, available carriers may be allocated to the rented or opportunistic users based on availability using a Non Contiguous OFDM (NC-OFDMA) scheme. NC-OFDMA makes efficient use of the spectrum at the cost of high PAPR at the User Equipment (UE). To be able for PAPR reduction using SC-FDMA requires certain structure to the available subcarriers; i.e. consecutive or equi-spaced, which may not be true inall cases. In this paper, we propose a spectrum allocation algorithm that takes into account system requirements for resource efficiency and proposes a DFT of appropriate size for spectrum spreading such that localized SC-FDMA may be implemented at the UE to reduce PAPR. Image stitching is used to integrate information from multiple images with overlapping fields of view in order to produce a panoramic view with all the contents fitted into a single frame. The major contribution of the proposed work resides in the preliminary selection of overlapping region using gradient and invariant moments approach. This step plays a vital role as it eliminates the need to extract features from the unnecessary portions of the input image. Once the overlapping regionsare identified, SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features) features are extracted from it. These features are matched for finding the transformation matrix using RANSAC (Random Sample Consensus) algorithm. The mosaic is obtained by warping the images into a single frame. This stitching method is iteratively applied to a series of images to create a complete panoramic view. Web 1.0 suffered from publishing limitations as it requires significant amount of software investments. Web 2.0 has changed this by providing easy to use web tools to enable people to generate content and publish it easily on the web. This resulted in an explosion of web contents and has made relevant information retrieval challenging. This has led to the evolution of semantic web, where the traditional web content is added with semantic repository. There are semantic web based tools being developed and researched to make the information retrieval more efficient. This paper describes a semantic weblog which has the feature of locating the exact source content from the reference URLs. This ideology will be used in the CMS (Content Management System). It's highly possible that the content in CMS will be redundant over the web as most of the time the content will be gathered from already existing websites. Back tracking the source of such content will become obsolete and also changes to the source are difficult to be tracked. The proposed document based CMS varies from these traditional CMS in architecture, storage and control flow. Source URLs and content markings are indexed and mirrored. The Semantically annotated content are located in the stored websites and matched with the original source websites. However the performance of the system is also dependent on the speaker. Speaker dependence of the recognition system arises from the speaker-dependent speech features. The variation of the vocal tract length and! shape is the major cause for this inter-speaker variation. Thus the performance of speaker-independent (SI) systems is surpassed by speaker-dependent (SD) systems. It is well established in the literature that the recognition performance of the SI system can be improved to the standards of an SD system by speaker adaptation. The main focus in this paper revolves around the analysis on the amount and ratio of male and female training data for which the cross-gender speaker adaptation gives higher performance. The speaker adaptation cechniques MAP and MLLR are implemented, using the TIMIT speech corpus. It is observed that MLLR adapts the model parameters better than MAP even with 24s of adaptation data. It is also inferred that training the system with both male and female data results in better cross-gender adaptation performance, when compared with the system trained with a either male or female data, primarily because the system parameters differ greatly for male and female speakers.
