This paper proposes an encryption-authentication scheme for secure the ECG data. The main contribution of this work is to generate a one-time padding key and deploying an encryption algorithm in authentication mode to achieve encryption and authentication. This is achieved by a water cycle optimization algorithm that generates a completely random one-time padding key and Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) algorithm for encrypting the ECG data. To validate the accuracy of the proposed encryption authentication scheme, experimental results were performed on standard ECG data and various performance parameters were calculated for it. The results show that the proposed algorithm improves security and passes the statistical key generation test.","PeriodicalId":113266,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC)","volume":"650 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132126203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biometric based identification methods have proved to be more natural. There are many methods in biometrics existing today supported pattern recognition where the characteristics taken are palm or iris or fingerprint. Our motto is to make a biometric system using the ear as the main object. Among various physiological biometrics, biometrics of ear has been found to be the foremost interesting and promising one. The ear of human goes through very small changes as the age goes on. It also has no changes as expression change. So, ear biometrics emerges as an efficient biometric method for human identification and will even be used like other biometrics. They need an expensive and stable structure that's preserved well even at the adulthood. In this paper Ear based biometric system using artificial intelligence is proposed and has been implemented using the technique of Convolutional neural network.","PeriodicalId":113266,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129964434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Primary use of this model is to make places hands-free with the help of contact-less control of all wired electrical devices. In this, the commands are given through the android application that have been designed using “Java” in Android Studio, the input format is taken as voice commands/buttons. The voice command is then translated into string which is sent to the HC-05 Bluetooth module for the decision-making process. The control structure for the appliance selection is present in the PIC microcontroller 16F887, which accepts signal through HC-05 which is connected with the Universal Synchronized Asynchronized Receiver Transmitter (USART), as the string sent by the Application matches with the string coded with “Embedded C” in PIC. It will give signal to the 8-channel relay which switches the relay ON/OFF, which is in turn connected with the appliances. For connecting the application with the smartphone, Bluetooth technology is used. Microcontroller used in this paper acts as a final controller and gives commands to the relay which finally controls the appliances. Use of this technology can be incorporated in various places where a lot of switching is required and time must be saved, also we can use this in homes, and all major public places keeping in mind with the current circumstances of COVID-19, wherein it has become necessary to make the daily things in life contactless.","PeriodicalId":113266,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC)","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115792823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the purpose of experimentation, eight light emitting diodes (LEDs) were symmetrically located on the ceiling (as transmitters) and a photodiode (as a receiver) was located on the floor of the laboratory. This was aimed at determining the degree of illuminance, optical power, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) experienced within the laboratory. MATLAB software tool was used for the computation. Results show that the laboratory receives adequate illumination when the half-power semi-angle (ϕ1/2) of the LED varies from 15° to 65 ° with average of 250 (1x) to 680 (1x), respectively. However, the average optical power of -3dBm and SNR = 0dB at ϕ1/2 = 15° are inadequate for data communication, while the corresponding values of signal power = 28dBm and SNR = 61dB at ϕ1/2 = 65° are quite adequate for wideband communication anywhere within the laboratory.","PeriodicalId":113266,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Signal Processing, Computing and Control (ISPCC)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117305576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
