These ailments may result directly from particular neuronal population degeneration or indirectly from changes in glial support cells. These kinds of ailments are characterized by an abnormal proteins accumulation or other biological materials accumulation within or outside the neurons. These aggregations take different structures and result in neurofabrillary tangles in Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy bodies in Parkinson’s disease, glycogen and polyglucosan bodies in Lafora disease. Alzheimer’s disease is thought to be in responsible of 60% of all mental disorder in moderately aged or older adults1 and influencing in excess of 5 million Americans, a number assessed to increment to 7.7million by 2030.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123362124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is estimated that that 2.6 million women and 0.8 million men have migraines2 Those who experience migraine report a reduction in ability to complete daily activities including self care, family care, and poor work performance (19). However, current therapies for rheumatoid arthritis involve analgesics, corticosteroids, NSAIDS. Despite availability of wide range of drugs, relief offered by them is short lived, symptomatic and having lots of side effects. Against MRSA, not only honey11–21 or propolis22–27 has antimicrobial activities, but also they have tremendous antibiofilm activities28–31 which are widely studied and documented. Since Egyptian fennel honey has potent antimicrobial activity against S. aureus,32–34 the study aimed to study the antimicrobial activity of Egyptian fennel honey and/or propolis against these stubborn biofilm producing MRSA recovered from food and food workers.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124448428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
