When the body biocollapses (dies), the BEG detaches itself and naturally, via the biointerfacemal (BIFL; possible fourth dimension) universe, goes to the BEL universe (possible fifth dimension) where it remains indefinitely. Just as organisms intentionally or unintentionally interact with organisms of the same or other biospecies, in the same way the human BEG or of another biospecies can establish spontaneous BEL communication (BELC) through unnoticed bioimages and/or intuitions with another BEG from the BML or BEL universe or from this one to that one. Naturally, BELC usually occurs during dreams and we have achieved it through the bioimages that are usually presented when practicing relaxation. We have practiced this form of collective BEL interaction or biointeraction for 31 years and, in this article, I will address the specific issue of collective biointeraction (CB) that all biospecies carry out in every ecosystem of which we are a part in the BML universe −through the BIFL universe− or in the BEL universe in a way that we have explored, fostered and made known. Some of these CBs are so common that they form uniform guidelines or laws that deserve to be progressively raised and studied.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116606109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Much of the time, however, the pursuit of the ideal body, the result of focused discipline to reach the ultimate muscular shape, is often confounded by the concomitant use of anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS). The purpose of the present study was to investigate how ergogenic aids, in particular AAS, are included within the culture of bodybuilding in relationship to aesthetics, body image, and health risks. Using qualitative data, generated during an ethnographic investigation of the male bodybuilding culture in the city of Recife, Brazil. Including interviews, documentation of events, and field notes. The interviewees consisted of 11 males from the three gyms. In addition, narcissism, and the pattern of AAS use are noted, since they play a significant role in the bodybuilding culture.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128920382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The exact mechanisms behind the placebo effect are not well understood, but it is thought to involve the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain-relieving chemicals, and the activation of the brain's reward and pain-regulation systems. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between restrictions on community activities and dengue fever cases in Denpasar. This research uses qualitative method by interviews to 11 dengue fever program holders and 46 mosquito larva monitor officers in each village. Quantitative method by analysis of the secondary data of dengue fever case reports. Result shows if the people of Denpasar have good knowledge and behavior in managing mosquito larvae in their homes. The result of interviews due to the covid-19 pandemic, it can be known if the community is more often self-quarantined at home and cannot go out to public places to clean the environment that can be breeding habitats for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Therefore, during restrictions on community activities, we need to make a team to clean the environment like village water irrigation, tree holes etc.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115117326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Subjects were 14 females aged 40s to 70s, and methods included listening to music during going to sleep using by sound sleep support sound player “Lullaby reverberation (Komoriuta-no-Hibiki)”, which was evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) in 0,4,8 weeks. Thirteen cases showed decreased points of PQSI. Time to sleep and sleep duration were almost the same. The relationship figure for PSQI and time until sleeping showed general tendency of left and horizontal/lower directional arrows. These results suggest positive beneficial effect of music for sleep quality evaluated by PSQI.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130695641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The philosophical, epistemological, and religious aspects began with the author Luciano da Fonseca Lins, Lacanian Psychoanalyst. Objective:The objective of Initiatic Psychoanalysis is to dismantle the identifications of the Self with the Illusory reality falsely presented as Perception. Perception is nothing more than electrical stimuli transformed in the brain, according to the beliefs of the perceiver. Method: A narrative review was carried out through a search in the electronic indexing databases MEDLINE/PubMed, Web of Science, CAPES journal portal and Google Scholar. The methods used on the interpretive basis of textual construction were the Zen Buddhist Koans, which are puzzles given to be decoded by the no-Mind, the allegorical method of Philo of Alexandria and the desert monks. Such methods, in the context of allegory, are allusive ways of directing the subject to mythical amplifications, legends and fairy tales, in the sense of seeking the Apophatic path, that is, through negative meditation, possibilities to transcend intellectual thought, which he defines to interrupt the Seeker Individual's linear and compulsive thinking. Results: The expected results are to enable the Seeker Individual to abandon their neurotic narratives, which are repetitions of neuronal patterns, to a different way of perceiving, different from linear thinking. Such procedures are presented as a possibility of awakening the Seeker Individual to his self-deceptions, experienced up to the present. Conclusion: Intuition and insights are expected to have modified perceptual value to transform individual existential from existing.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129367315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They were challenged not only by technologies such as videoconferencing and the written and unwritten codes of online behavior, but also by the primary and well established rules of hypnotic and psychotherapeutic arts, which became challenging and confusing in the new digital environment. In the current paper, I will present the challenges of online hypnotic psychotherapy (H-psychotherapy) for professionals. Some practical recommendations for H-psychotherapy utilizing teleconference equipment will be offered. Additionally, specific techniques and strategies for the online implementation of hypnosis will be presented. Subjective and inter subjective factors that have to be addressed during online H- psychotherapy will be emphasized and discussed. All of the elements mentioned above are essential for working online with hypnosis while helping create and develop a safe, effective, and therapeutic space that can bypass the technological, physical, and psychological barriers.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123656856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Retrospective descriptive observational study with patients who died with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis who presented themselves to this center during the outbreak of April 2020. Our sample included 261 deaths and information reported includes age, sex, and race, cause of death and length of stay until death. All cases were confirmed by diagnostic outcomes, using nasopharyngeal swab samples were collected for extracting 2019-nCoV RNA through the technique of real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Our sample was comprised of 62.1% men, with a mean age of 60.1 (SD=16.1) years. A proportion of 43.3% (n=113) of the patients were brown, 16.9% (n=42) were black and 40.6% (n=106) were white. The median of duration of hospital stay was 3.8days (1.6; 6.5). Most deaths were caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome (62.1%), followed by sepsis (24.1%). This study showed that most COVID-19 deaths at the public reference hospital occurred due to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), with a higher proportion of men, brown race and an average age of 60years. The short time of hospital stay between hospitalization and death draws attention to the deficiency of the public health system of Rio de Janeiro city.","PeriodicalId":113120,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126789642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
