A quasi experimental design was used in this research. Two groups, experimental and control group, were assigned in this research in which each group consisted of 20 students, respectively. Intervention was given for 12 meetings including pretest and posttest administration. Reading comprehension test, in form of multiple choice question, was administered to measure the studentsâ€™ reading comprehension. The research findings showed that (1) there was a significant improvement on the tenth gradersâ€™ reading comprehension achievement after being taught by using Think Pair Share Technique, and (2) there was a signifiant mean difference on the tenth gradersâ€™ reading comprehension achievement after being taught by using Think Pair Share Technique and those who were not. Technology is useful to teach listening because each type of technology provides opportunities for students to explore their ranges of listening strategies.Multimedia technology becomes more accessible to teachers and learners of other languages, its potential as a tool to enhance listening skills becomes a practical option.Â The technology mediates the process, getting language out there and giving feedback that shows whether someone has or hasnâ€™t understood what people have said.It makes that possible wherever people are in the world. Teachers and learners can go online to listen toÂ material about different areas of interest, and can then speak about what they have discovered, telling others in the class or other classes elsewhere in the world. The Internet is suitable place to practice languages as it offers the possibility, with the right software, of using images and audio resources at the same time, combining sounds and images as in communicative situations in the real world. It also provides users with a highly appealing and innovative format. But only when the sources are properly selected can the internet be useful in learning environment. There is a plethora of educational material available online and accessible via Web search engines. This study applied a quasi-experimental research design, specifically non-equivalent control group design. The objectives of the study were to find out whether or not (a) there was significant improvement of studentsâ€™ pronunciation achievement after being taught by using English songs (b) there was significant difference of pronunciation achievement between the students who were taught by using English songs and those who were not. The population was all the seventh grade students in SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang. This research, the researcher used purposive sampling. The sample was divided into two samples, there were 30 samples for experimental group and 30 samples for control group. The data were collected by using t-test (Paired Samples t-test and Independent Samples t-test). The findings showed that English songs strategy signifcantly improve the studentsâ€™ pronunciation achievement (T=36.947). In addition, there was significant difference in pronunciation achievement between the students who were taught through English songs strategy and those who were not (T=12.663). Based on this study, it is found that the use of English songs in teaching English is effective to improve the studentsâ€™ pronunciation and very beneficial for the students in order to facilitate them in learning English. The data were collected by distributing self-concept questionnaire and leadership questionnaire to 19 English teachers of non-English majors and motivation to learn English questionnaire to 714 non-English major students. The result described that the lecturersâ€™ self-concept was mostly positive for the five sub-scales with the highest positive percentage was for self-regard (84.9%). For the leadership style, the result revealed that 10.5 % of the lecturers had country club leadership style and the other 89.5% had team leader leadership style. In terms of studentsâ€™ motivation to learn English, the twelve subscales were dominantly responded positively by the students with the highest percentage (96.5%) went to integrative orientation subscale. Furthermore, there was significant correlation between lecturersâ€™ self-concept (total) and studentsâ€™ motivation to learn English (total) (R2= .006, sig. F= .044). However, there is no significant correlation between lecturersâ€™ leadership style and studentsâ€™ motivation to learn English. The population of the study was the Tenth Grade Students of State Islamic Senior High School 3 of Palembang in the academic year of 2015/2016. In doing the study, the researcher used quasi-experimental design to two groups of students. The total number of students was 369. The sample was 68 students that were taken by using purposive sampling strategy. Thirty four students were in the experimental group and thirty four students were in the control group. There are two instruments for collecting the data i.e. test and questionnaire. The result showed that teaching reading comprehension through IEPC strategy had a significant effect on the studentsâ€™ reading achievement. The result of paired sample from experimental group was 10.877. Based on the independent sample t-test analysis, it was found that t-obtained was 11.17 (df=66; p=0.025), the critical value of the test was 1.668, it means there was significant difference between studentsâ€™ comprehension in reading through IEPC strategy and those who were taught through lecturing. A quasi-experimental method was used in this study. The population of the study was all the students in Faculty of Economic at Indo Global Mandiri University in the academic year 2014/2015. The sample consisted of 40 students where 20 students for experimental group and 20 students for control group, and was selected by using purposive sampling. In order to get the data, a test was used. The data was obtained in the form of writing test. The test was given twice, to the experimental and control groups, as pre-test and post-test. The result of the test was analyzed by using t-test through SPSS program.
