The study utilized data from the Community-Based Severe Trauma Survey provided by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2016 to 2020. Among 232,625 severe trauma patients treated during the study period, 25.6% were fall patients (n=59,576). The majority of fall patients (65.1%) were male, and the highest incidence was in the 50-59 age group (19.8%). Falls were the most common reason for visiting a Local Emergency Treatment Center (44.4%). An investigation of factors influencing fall-related deaths revealed that a higher Injury Severity Score (ISS) was associated with increased mortality risk. In the Regional Trauma Center, the risk of death decreased for fall patients who underwent surgery or embolization but increased for those who received blood transfusions. In contrast, in Local Emergency Treatment Centers and Local Emergency Medical Institutions, mortality risk increased for patients who underwent surgery or embolization. A balanced emergency medical system is needed to address regional disparities in emergency medical care to reduce fall-related deaths and disabilities.","PeriodicalId":112431,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"432 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140473010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This concept focuses on the extent to which individuals are integrated into their organization and how this integration influences their behavior. Additionally, military officers exhibit characteristics of firm-specific human capital and thus have limited applicability in other organizations and experience a consequent restriction in external mobility. This situation raises concerns about career stagnation due to involuntary turnover, though it is known that social capital can play a crucial role in addressing this issue. The study was conducted using responses to an online survey of 598 military officers to investigate how an individual's internal embeddedness influences intention to leave the military service and whether external social capital moderates this effect. After verifying variable reliability and validity, descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation analysis were used to examine correlations between variables. The hypotheses of the research model were tested using multiple regression analysis (SPSS). The study suggests that organizations should encourage members to develop external social capital and actively develop their careers and skills to enhance their external competitiveness.","PeriodicalId":112431,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"30 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140470742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, the χ 2 test, Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis, and logistic regression. Significant differences were observed between those who had witnessed sexual violence or not in terms of sexual violence awareness and social self-efficacy(p<0.01). Experience of witnessing sexual violence was correlated with gender consciousness (r=0.38,p<.05) and social self-efficacy (r=0.58, p<0.001), and gender awareness was correlated with secondary victimization (r=0.08, p=0.01). Compared to the group without experience witnessing sexual violence, the group that the experiences had 1.20 times higher awareness of sexual violence(p=0.042), 2.15 times higher secondary victimization(p=.017), and 1.21 times higher social self-efficacy(p<.05). Accordingly, it is necessary to develop a witness program that can serve as bystanders and witnesses to co-workers to prevent sexual violence, and continuous related education is needed who can expect to play a social role as military workers.","PeriodicalId":112431,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"9 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140478098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Machine learning (ML) techniques have emerged as a promising new approach to solving PDEs. Among them, Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) have garnered significant attention in numerous scientific and engineering studies. PINNs employ a single deep neural network to assimilate observational data with PDEs across the entire space-time of a physical system, subsequently yielding rapid solutions. However, a PINN may entail intricate analyses or computations and can be cost-intensive, depending on initial or boundary conditions and other input parameters. To address the limitations of the PINN, especially concerning resolution for nonlinear problems, the Physical-Informed Deep Operator Network (DeepONet) is introduced in this paper. The Physics-Informed DeepONet is a deep learning framework crafted to discern solution operators for any given PDEs, even in scenarios lacking paired input/output training data. The proposed framework is able to predict solutions for various types of parameterized PDEs much faster than conventional PDE solvers. Several cases confirm that this approach is effective in establishing previously unexplored paradigms for modeling/simulating nonlinear and non-equilibrium processes in science and engineering.","PeriodicalId":112431,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"384 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140477016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A randomly assigned clinical trial was performed on stroke patients who participated in an exercise program. Outcomes (balance results) were compared with those of age matched stroke patients who did not perform balance exercises. The literature was searched for studies published from January 2014 to June 2023 in four domestic databases. The 11 selected articles were tested for homogeneity, and effect sizes were calculated using a random effects model. The effect size of individual studies calculated using the R project for Statistical computing version (4.3.1) was 0.48 (95% CI: 0.23-0.73), indicating a medium effect size. Effect sizes determined by balance tests were 0.43 (95% CI : 0.09-0.76) for the timed up and go test (TUG) and 0.57 (95% CI : 0.13-1.02) for the Berg balance scale (BBS). Exercise programs conducted on unstable support surfaces had positive effects on the balance abilities of stroke patients. We recommend that future research be conducted on the effectiveness of various intervention programs for stroke patients.","PeriodicalId":112431,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"249 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140477786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Information was collected regarding the respondents' experiences, environmental awareness, perceptions of climate change and low-carbon agrifood, and their willingness to pay for it. Consumer preference for low-carbon agrifood was analyzed using the Contingent Valuation Method, which is commonly employed to estimate consumers' willingness to pay for non-market goods. To closely align with real market conditions and to facilitate respondents' answers to questions, a double-bounded dichotomous choice format was utilized. The empirical results show that for people in their 20s, the willingness-to-pay ratio for low-carbon agrifood was approximately 27% relative to conventional food. Environmental interest shown by such consumers had a statistically significant impact on the willingness-to-pay decision for these products, while treatment information, climate change awareness, and prior purchasing experiences contributed to numerical differences in the willingness-to-pay ratio. The analysis indicates a noticeable shift in willingness to pay based on the level of environmental concern. Therefore, prioritizing enhancement of individuals' awareness and interest in their environment should be considered a primary focus. However, while the awareness of climate change and the environment among individuals in their 20s appears to be high, their recognition of low-carbon agrifood seems comparatively low.","PeriodicalId":112431,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society","volume":"206 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140477801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
