Dimana kualitas perairan di Sungai Siak termasuk dalam kategori tercemar berat. Ketersediaan makanan, kesuksesan reproduksi dan pola pertumbuhan ikan merupakan faktor penting dalam kelangsungan hidup ikan Pangasius polyuranodon. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penurunan kualitas perairan terhadap ikan tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian pada bulan Desember 2016. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan sekali/minggu yang ditangkap di empat stasiun di Kota Pekanbaru. Sebanyak 42 ikan yang tertangkap dengan jumlah ikan betina 18 ekor dan ikan jantan 24 ekor. Pengamatan isi lambung dilakukan menggunakan metode gravimetrik. Isi lambung yang sudah dianalisis digunakan sebagai dasar untuk, menghitung Preponderance Index (PI). Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa makanan utama ikan Pangasius polyuranodon adalah tumbuhan (PI 56,19), makanan pelengkap serangga (PI 18.04) dan sawit (PI 16,45), makanan tambahan berupa gastropoda (PI 2,97) dan Ikan (PI 0,20). Berdasarkan tingkat kematangan gonad hasil pengamatan memperlihatkan bahwa ikan lebih banyak memakan serangga dan sawit untuk perkembangan gonad. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ikan ini termasuk omnivore dimana penurunan kualitas perairan Sungai Siak tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kebiasaan makan ikan juaro.\u0000Pangasius polyuranodon is one of the fish that lives in the Siak River, Riau Province. Where the water quality in the Siak River is included in the heavily polluted category. Availability of food, reproductive success, and growth patterns of fish are important factors in fish survival Pangasius polyuranodon. To determine the effect of decreasing water quality on these fish, a study was conducted in December 2016. Sampling was carried out once / a week and was caught at four stations in Pekanbaru City. A total of 42 fish were caught with 18 female fish and 24 male fish. Observation of gastric contents was carried out using the gravimetric method. The gastric contents that have been analyzed are used as a basis for, counting Preponderance Index (PI). Observations showed that the main food of fish Pangasius polyuranodon are plants (PI 56.19), insect complementary foods (PI 18.04) and oil palm (PI 16.45), additional foods in the form of gastropods (PI 2.97) and fish (PI 0.20). Based on the level of maturity of the gonads, the results showed that fish eat more insects and oil palm for gonad development. Namun, bahan baku gelatin yang banyak beredar dipasaran yaitu berbahan baku tulang sapi dan tulang babi. Pada peneltian ini, limbah ikan gabus berupa tulang sebagai bahan dalam pembuatan gelatin. Limbah tulang ikan gabus ini banyak tersedia di pasar sebagai limbah hasil olahan daging giling. Gelatin yang dihasilkan diaplikasi menjadi permen geli yang ditambahkan lendir okra untuk meningkatkan gizi permen sehingga manfaat lendir okra dapat dirasakan, mengingat pemanfaatan lendir okra sebagai bahan pangan belum maksimal dikarenakan selama ini masyarakat okra dengan menghilangkan lendirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi lendir okra terbaik terhadap sifat fisiko kimia dalam pengolahan permen jeli dari gelatin tulang ikan gabus. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah lendir okra dengan konsentrasi meliputi 0; 2,5; 7,5 dan 10%. Sifat fisik dan kimia terbaik pada permen jeli yang ditambahkan beberapa konsentrasi lendir okra adalah perlakuan P2 (Penambahan 2,5% lendir okra) dengan nilai teksur 188,20 gf, karbohidrat 26,00%, kadar protein 8,48%, kadar abu 0,02%, kadar air 23,72%, kadar serat 1,73% dan gula reduksi 13,00 sehingga berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan yang diberikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter fisik (tekstur), parameter kimia meliputi kadar protein, kadar serat kasar dan gula reduksi. Perlakuan penambahan konsentrasi lendir okra tidak berpengaruh nyata Kadar karbohidrat, air, dan abu.\u0000The use of gelatin in industry is generally as a gelling agent, thickener, emulsifier and so on. However, gelatin raw materials that are widely circulated in the market are made from beef bones and pork bones. In this research, snakehead fish waste is in the form of bone as an ingredient in the manufacture of gelatin. This snakehead fish bone waste is widely available in the market as a waste of processed ground meat. The resulting gelatin is applied to a gummy candy with okra slime added to increase the nutrition of the candy so that the benefits of okra slime can be felt, considering that the use of okra slime as food has not been maximized because so far the okra community has removed the mucus. This study aims to determine the best concentration of okra slime on physicochemical properties in the processing of jelly candy from snakehead fish bone gelatin. The treatment used was okra slime with concentrations covering 0; 2.5; 7.5 and 10%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati pengaruh pemberian pakan tambahan berupa daun sente pada kinerja reproduksi dan pertumbuhan larva ikan gurami. Metode penelitian meliputi persiapan bak, pengelolaan induk, pemijahan, penetasan telur, pemeliharaan larva. Pemberian daun sente dilakukan pada tahap pengelolaan induk. Telur yang dihasilkan kemudian ditebar pada akuarium dengan kepadatan berbeda 7 butir/L (P-A), 16 butir/L (P-B), 20 butir/L (P-C). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan induk yang diberi pakan tambahan daun sente memiliki fekunditas sebanyak 1.106 butir telur, FR 96% (P-A), 95% (P-B) dan 92% (P-C). HR diperoleh 82% (P-A), 83% (P-B) dan 83% (P-C). SR yang dihasilkan dari induk ikan gurami 85% (P-A), 83% (P-B) dan 80% (P-C). SGR yang dihasilkan adalah 4,93% (P-A), 4,27% (P-B) dan 3,86% (P-C). Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu rasio perbandingan substitusi tepung kedelai dan tepung daun indigofera, P0= (40% : 0%), P1= (36% : 4%), P2= (32% : 8%), P3= (28% : 12%). Ikan yang digunakan adalah benih ikan patin siam berukuran berat 4,79 ± 0,85 gram. Pemeliharaan selama 40 hari dalam wadah berupa waring ukuran 1x1x0.5 meter. Pakan diberikan sebesar 5% dari bobot biomasa, dengan tiga kali pemberian yaitu pada pukul 07.30, 13.00 dan 15.30 WIB. Parameter penelitian terdiri dari data (PBM) Pertumbuhan Bobot Mutlak, (PPM) Pertumbuhan Panjang Mutlak, Rasio Konversi Pakan (FCR), (RP) Retensi Protein, (RL) Retensi Lemak dan (TKH) Tingkat Kelangsungan Hidup serta parameter kualitas air sebagai pendukung. Hasil penelitian didapatkan data bahwa substitusi tepung kedelai terhadap tepung daun indigofera dalam formulasi pakan benih ikan patin siam mampu meningkatkan kinerja produksi ikan. Substitusi pada dosis (P3) 28% tepung kedelai dan 12% tepung daun indigofera menghasilkan nilai tertinggi terhadap kinerja produksi dan kelangsungan hidup ikan patin. Nilai kaualitas air masih berada dalam kisaran optimal untuk pertumbuhan ikan.\u0000 \u0000This study aims to evaluate the effect of substitution of soybean flour and indigofera leaf meal (Zollingeriana) in artificial feed on production performance and survival of Pangasius hypophthalmus. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three repetitions. The treatments tested were soy flour and indigofera leaf flour substitution, P0 = 40% soybean flour 0% indigofera leaf flour, P1 = 36% soybean flour 4% indigofera leaf flour, P2 = 32% soybean flour 8% indigofera leaf flour, P3 = 28% soybean flour 12% indigofera leaf flour. The test fish used were Siamese catfish fry measuring an average weight of 4.79 ± 0.85 grams which were reared in a waring (1x1x0.5 meter) for 40 days. Fish were fed 5% of their body weight three times a day at 08.00, 13.00 and 15.00 WIB. Parameters observed are absolute weight and length Growth, Food Conversion Ratio (FCR), Fat and Protein Retention, and Survival Rate as well as water quality parameters as a support. The results showed that the substitution of soy flour and indigofera leaf flour in the Siamese catfish seed fry formulation was able to increase production performance and survival rate of fish. Substitution at a dose (P3) of 28% soy flour and 12% indigofera leaf flour resulted in the highest value for production performance and survival of fish. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih (Plumeria alba L) yang efektif sebagai bahan sedatif alami terhadap benih ikan bawal air tawar (Colossoma macropomum L). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan satu kontrol yaitu P0 (0 mg/L), P1 (4 mg/L), P2 (5 mg/L), P3 (6 mg/L), P4 (7 mg/L) dan P5 (8 mg/L), masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan pengulang sebanyak 3 kali. Data pengamatan meliputi lama pulih sadar ikan, kecepatan pingsan, kelangsungan hidup dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian diperoleh konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih antar perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap lama pulih sadar dan kecepatan pingsan sedangkan konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih antar perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) terhadap kelangsungan hidup benih ikan bawal. Konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih yang paling efektif untuk teknik sedatif terhadap benih ikan bawal adalah 8 mg/L dengan keefektifan waktu memingsankan yaitu 11 menit 53 detik, waktu lama pulih sadar yaitu 3 menit 32 detik serta kelangsungan hidup setelah pemeliharaan selama 3 hari mencapai 86,67%.\u0000 \u0000Consumtion type of fish have a high price when sold alive, but transportation problems are a limiting factor, therefore it is necessary to make efforts to minimize mortality using anesthetic techniques for fish. Observational data include the length of conscious recovery of fish, fainting speed, survival and water quality. The results obtained the concentration of white frangipani flower extract between treatments had a real effect (P > 0.05) on the length of recovery of consciousness and fainting speed while the concentration of white frangipani flower extract between treatments did not have a real effect (P < 0.05) on the survival of pomfret seeds. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan respon imun udang vaname melalui penghitungan jumlah total hemosit dan pengamatan perbedaan jenis hemosit yang dipelihara selama 60 hari. Pengujian dilakukan dengan perlakuan kombinasi vitamin D3, mineral Ca dan Mg (Hyperol) pada pakan antara lain kontrol (pemeliharaan udang tanpa suplementasi Hyperol) dan pemeliharaan udang dengan penambahan suplementasi Hyperol pada pakan sebanyak 0,25 mL/kg pakan (A); 0,5 mL/kg pakan (B); 0,75 mL/kg pakan (C); dan 1 mL/kg pakan (D). Hasil terbaik yang didapatkan adalah perlakuan dengan penambahan suplementasi Hyperol 1 mL/kg pakan dengan jumlah total hemosit 65,41±1,90 x 106 sel/mL. Hal ini menunjukkan penggunaan Hyperol 1 mL/kg pakan dapat meningkatkan respon imun pada udang vaname.\u0000Vannamei shrimp is fisheries commodity who doesn’t have specific immunity in their body, so principle of prevent against disease was the most important thing to be applied in shrimp farming techniques. The aims of this study is to see an increase in the immune response of vannamei shrimp through counting the total number of hemocytes and observing the different types of hemocytes maintained for 60 days. Tests were carried out with a combination treatment of vitamin D3, minerals Ca and Mg (Hyperol) on the feed, including controls (raising shrimp without Hyperol supplementation) and rearing shrimp with the addition of Hyperol supplementation to feed as much as 0.25 mL/kg feed (A); 0.5 mL/kg feed (B); 0.75 mL/kg feed (C); and 1 mL/kg feed (D). The best results obtained were treatment with the addition of 1 mL/kg Hyperol supplementation with a total hemocyte count of 65.41 ± 1.90 x 106 cells/mL. Edwardsiella tarda merupakan salah satu bakteri penyebab penyakit pada ikan. Dampak terburuk dari adanya serangan penyakit adalah terjadinya kematian ikan secara masal sehingga membuat kegagalan produksi yang pastinya sangat merugikan. Pencegahan dan pengobatan merupakan cara ampuh dalam menanggulangi penyakit pada ikan. Penggunaan bahan alami yang lebih aman lebih disarankan karena tidak menimbulkan efek negatif terhadap lingkungan, ikan, ataupun manusia. Salah satu bahan alami yang dapat digunakan adalah bagian daun dan kulit durian. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan, Program Studi Budidaya Perairan, Jurusan Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya pada bulan April-Juni 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental laboratorium yang dirancang menggunakan post only control group design dengan membandingkan efek antibakterial esktrak daun dan kulit durian (Durio zibethinus Murr) dengan kontrol dan perlakuan dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Kontrol yang digunakan adalah antibiotik (chloramphenicol). Ekstrak etanol kulit durian (Durio zibethinus Murr) dapat digunakan sebagai kandidat obat penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Edwardsiella tarda. Namun, perlu dilakukan uji klinis (in vivo) untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap ikan.\u0000Disease attack caused by bacteria is one of the problems faced by cultivators. Edwardsiella tarda is one of the bacteria that causes disease in fish. The worst impact of disease attacks is the mass death of fish, causing production failure which is certainly very detrimental. Prevention and treatment is a powerful way of dealing with disease in fish. The use of safer natural ingredients is recommended because they do not cause negative effects on the environment, fish or humans. One of the natural ingredients that can be used is the leaves and skin of durian. The implementation of this research was carried out at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University in April-June 2021. This research used a laboratory experimental method which was designed using a post only control group design by comparing the antibacterial effects of leaf extract and durian skin (Durio zibethinus Murr) with control and treatment with 3 repetitions. Namun proses budidaya intensif dengan padat tebar tinggi yang disertai dengan pengelolaan air yang tidak baik, dapat menurunkan kualitas air sehingga mengakibatkan stres dan kesehatan ikan terganggu. Oleh karena itu penelitian penggunaan bakteri fotosintetik (Rhodobacter sp. dan Rhodococcus sp.) pada kolam budidaya ikan patin bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kondisi kualitas air. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak kelompok, dengan dua perlakuan dan satu kontrol dan masing-masing perlakuan tiga ulangan : A = 0,2 ml/l, B = 0,5 ml/l, dan C = Kontrol (tanpa bakteri fotosintetik). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian bakteri fotosintetik pada kolam budidaya ikan patin berpengaruh baik terhadap proses perbaikan kualitas air, yang ditunjukan dengan optimalnya nilai kualitas air yaitu parameter suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut dan adanya penurunan nilai Total Organic Matter yang disebabkan oleh adanya proses bioremediasi yang dilakukan oleh bakteri fotosintetik.\u0000 \u0000Catfish (Pangasius sp.) is a type of freshwater fish that has important economic value in the aquaculture industry. However, the intensive cultivation process with high stocking densities, accompanied by poor water management, can reduce water quality, resulting in stress and disturbed fish health. Therefore research on the use of photosynthetic bacteria (Rhodobacter sp. and Rhodococcus sp.) in catfish culture ponds aims to improve water quality conditions. The design used was a randomized block design, with two treatments and one control and three replications for each treatment: A = 0.2 ml/l, B = 0.5 ml/l, and C = control (without photosynthetic bacteria). Pangasius catfish juveniles with a mean body weight and length of 16.05 ± 0.47 g and 12.42 ± 0.30 cm were randomly distributed into 9 pond units (2 x 1 x 0,6 m). Three experimental diets were formulated to contain (0,5% kg-1 GAA) with different technique of GAA supplementation, i.e. control, pelleting technique and spray-coating technique fed to the fish for 60 days of culture. The results showed that average body weight and biomass of fish fed diet with by GAA supplementation with the pelleting technique was higher (p<0.05) than that of spray-coating technique and control. In conclusion, the consumption of diets containing GAA with pelleting technique resulted the best growth performance of Pangasius catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus).\u0000 \u0000Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan metode terbaik dalam suplementasi Guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) pada pakan untuk meningkatkan retensi penambahan GAA setelah perendaman di air dalam meningkatkan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan patin (Pangasius hypophthalmus). Benih ikan patin dengan rata-rata bobot 16.05 ± 0.47 g dan panjang 12.42 ± 0.30 cm dipelihara di dalam 9 unit kolam dengan ukuran (2 x 1 x 0,6 m). Ikan diberikan pakan selama 60 hari pemeliharaan tiga perlakuan yaitu; kontrol (tanpa penambahan GAA); perlakuan pelleting (penambahan 0,5% kg/GAA); dan perlakuan spray coating (penambahan 0,5% kg/GAA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan penambahan 0,5% kg/GAA dengan metode pelleting memberikan rata-rata bobot ikan dan biomasa paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lain dan kontrol (p<0.05).
