In perspective of linguistics, many researchers study text readability by analyzing semantics, vocabulary, syntax, expression, stylish, and cultural. The considerations of these facts are combined together to generate a common text readability predictor. In this paper, we first review the status field with conventional methods being used to assess and evaluate text readability. Our emphasis is on text feature selection, since the features commonly effects the understanding of text content. The text features for L2 (second language) readers are utilized for the present analysis using Coh-Metrix. We found that the effects of text features to L2 learners are different to native language readers.","PeriodicalId":111647,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Internet Computing for Engineering and Science","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125970293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering of the structure of a network would helpful for understanding its function, determining the pivotal composition in the biological networks is an important step toward understanding them, and the key insights have been provided with centrality analysis in recent years. In the present paper, using 10 centrality approaches, we study the structure of a vitamin-related protein-protein interaction network. The results reaffirm Nguyen et al. In other words, a cluster needs to be constructed. However, the physical clusters have shortcomings, such as waste of resources, and inflexible structure, etc. In the paper, Moodle Virtual Cluster is designed and constructed through virtualization technology in cloud computing to uniformly manage and dynamically allocate all kinds of computing resources. Through concurrent access pressure test, the results show that Moodle Virtual Cluster in cloud computing can improve transaction capability of the system, reduce response time, and ensure good user experience.","PeriodicalId":111647,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Internet Computing for Engineering and Science","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130969289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When people issue a very complex SQL query to acquit data from a transaction system into a data warehouse, it involves many procedures including table-joining, sort, and aggregation. Such procedures require significant retrieving step and huge data transferring from tables. The intensive querying very often causes performance issues to be concerned. Moreover, it commonly generates negative impacts on data instance resources. How to improve the performance for ETL becomes critical and challenging. This paper presents a parallel processing solution that splitting big and complex SQL query into small pieces in distributed computing manor. The proposed method aims at reducing cost of computation, while ensuring data integrity among joined tables. The innovative idea can be verified through selected test-beds of performance tuning.","PeriodicalId":111647,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Internet Computing for Engineering and Science","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128967532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on hardware-assisted virtualization, the system proposed in this paper can monitor guest operating system (Guest OS) via the highest privilege level of Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM). It realizes functions of detection, creation monitoring and termination of hidden processes, even for malicious Root kit processes in kernel. Comparing to popular process detection tools using hook functions or relying on unpublicized data structures, the optimized system doesn't depend on any hook function and destroy any data structure of OS, making it much more efficient and better in the area of hidden processes detection.","PeriodicalId":111647,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Internet Computing for Engineering and Science","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124620511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
