Therefore, this project is to implement a 32-bit low-power ARM processor into the development of a 3WD omni-directional mobile robot equipped with IR sensor capabilities. The scope of the project is narrowed down to the usage of Embedded Artists' LPC2148 USB QuickStart Board, digital fiber sensor, DC brushless motor, and omni-wheel. Most of the tools and necessary equipment for the project development can be obtained within the UTHM. The obtained result can be used for different navigation and surveillance applications. The proposed algorithm uses the characteristics of human visual system in framelet domain. The main idea is to decompose the natural and IR images to be fused into low and high frequency bands using framelet transform. The fusion is performed by two different strategies while exploiting the characteristics of low and high frequency bands. The first strategy is adaptive weighted average based on local energy and is applied to fuse the low-frequency bands. In order to fuse high frequency bands, a new strategy is developed based on texture while exploiting the human visual system characteristics, which can preserve more details from source images and further improve the quality of scene in the fused image. This is a big challenge for WLR WBS outsourcing as many of the factors affecting shear strength lying on the wire bonding parameters and shear test setup. The extracting of the maximum power through using the SEPIC fuzzy controller is considered the main improvement here. Fuzzy-controlling in duty cycle increases/decreases the voltage level for the SEPIC according to the maximum power. SEPIC MPPT ensures optimal utilization for the PV array. The controller further proves its accuracy in variable-load conditions. TMS320F28335 DSP has been used to implement the controlled pulse width modulation (PWM). The controlled system has been verified by simulation and implemented in a prototype. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) - based controller is one of the control device used in industrial automation drive applications, the important aspect is to control speed of an induction motor in the presence of variable load. The plant model in this project is developed using MATLAB/Simulink and the aim is to simulate and analyse the appropriate control technique suitable for implementation onto the PLC to perform real-time implementation of the VSD (variable speed drive) control. This paper presents the work conducted in analyzing, evaluating and improving a PLC-based intelligent controller for a Pulse Width Modulation, (PWM)-Driven VSD of an induction motor by using state space control method, focusing on the low speed response. The SR-inverter in the proposed system has four outputs that are connected to a single transformer linked load via four resonant capacitors each of which have distinct capacitance. Due to distinct values of resonant capacitors, the impedance of tank circuit and hence the power transfer rate is different for four outputs. Thus all the four inverter outputs are fed to load in parallel when maximum load power is desired and a single output that has highest tank circuit impedance is fed to load when lowest load power is required and vice versa. For the four inverter outputs there are sixteen possible combinations to feed them to load in parallel, thus the load power increase from its lowest value to highest in sixteen steps. Switching frequency is adjusted within in its narrow limits to adjust the voltage between two nearest steps. Proposed high voltage converter have several features such as wide range of control, less voltage ripple and low current stress on power switches. Various models have been developed in order to study and understand traffic behavior and network traffic situations. In this study, the relationship for speed and frustration index is simulated by CA under multi-class user traffic conditions. Acceleration rule, slow down probability, traffic density, maximal and minimal speeds are main effects, which determine driving behavior. According to the results, it is found that either the mixture of the average speed-frustration index or density-frustration index of multi-class traffic is the linear combination of users involving in traffic flow. Designing a hardware method of scalable host controller can handle multiple processing units at the same time. Currently in System on Chip (SoC) design, multiple processing units accessing the memory to request a task lead to inefficient communications due to bus congestion. In addition, designing a scalable host controller helps the transactions schedule consistently between different processing units in the modular hardware accelerator. The types of common defects in concretes structures are crack formations, corrosion, scalling, and etc. Therefore, an evaluation method such as acoustic emission (AE) is required for assessing the deterioration on concretes structures. This paper provides a brief discussion on the evaluations of the acoustic emission signal strength to the health monitoring of reinforced concrete structures beams. Small scale size beam has been used for this investigation and the AE signal processing is the main principal data in this work for assessing by using the statistical quantitative technique, which is known as intensity analysis (IA).This type of technique is able to quantify and evaluate the damage severity on concretes structures.
