The author emphasizes the organizational and legal principles of combating extremism and substantiates the opinion that the main source of extremism is the crisis state of society. A description of the types of extremism and its main forms and consequences for society is given. Thus, among the main forms of extremism we distinguish: production, storage or distribution of extremist materials (inscriptions, leaflets, audiovisual and other materials), use of Internet resources for extremist activities; public statements of extremist content; public appeals or incitement to commit extremist actsfinancing of extremist actions or other assistance in their organization, preparation and implementation, including by providing financial funds, real estate, educational, printing and material-technical base, telephone, fax and other types of communication, as well as providing information services. Derivatives of extremism are singled out, in particular: terrorism, collaborationism, separatism. The characteristics of subjects fighting extremism are presented separately (state authorities and local self-government bodies that participate within their competence; the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation, if representatives of authorities participate in extremist activities), as well as the content of the main directions of combating it. It has been established that the content and essence of release from serving a sentence as an institution of criminal law, in particular in the context of prisoner of war exchange processes, is an extremely important and effective tool, the mechanism of which is the return to Ukraine of its defenders who were captured by the Russian side in exchange for those combatants who were captured by the defense forces of Ukraine and whose guilt was proven. It has been proven that in the conditions of the current legal regime of martial law in Ukraine and active hostilities, it is necessary to apply the institution of release from serving the punishment of prisoners of war, taking into account all procedural aspects of criminal and criminal procedural legislation. At the same time, it is stated that the role and place of the relevant institute in the context of the exchange of prisoners of war requires additional study at a higher scientific level, because researchers are constantly blurring the line between the release from serving the sentence of convicted persons and the release from criminal responsibility in the context of the exchange of prisoners of war who have the status of a suspect. The contribution of the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine to the formation of state security has been studied. The military aggression of the Russian Federation requires an objective assessment of the state of technical equipment of the security and defense forces of Ukraine, a rethinking of the main approaches to the formation of an effective military-technical and defense-industrial policy of the state. Along with the key challenges, in the conditions of martial law for the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine, key opportunities for its development have appeared. Taking into account the number of threats that the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine faces at the current stage, it is necessary to form long-term goals for the development of the defense industry. It is possible to involve the private sector in the creation of the necessary products of the chemical industry, necessary for the needs of the defense industry. One of the most important ways to improve the process of rearmament is to create a consistent strategy that will take into account all the above-mentioned threats, as well as the economic capabilities of our state. It is necessary to clearly define which weapons and military equipment Ukraine will purchase, and which will be produced in cooperation with foreign partners. Specific conditions for the activities of scientists and scientific units for the structures of the security and defense sector, which should be taken into account when planning scientific work, have been defined. Approaches to the organization of scientific work at a higher military educational institution, which arise from the need to conduct hostilities to repel armed aggression, are described. The priorities that should be taken into account when reviewing the subject of scientific research and the structure of indicators of the results of the scientific activity of scientific teams have been formulated. The expediency of ranking the forms of scientific work by importance in accordance with the actual conditions of functioning of a higher military educational institution is justified. A variant of the distribution of forms of scientific work according to their importance is proposed. The need for periodic review of the degree of significance of various forms of scientific work in relation to others in accordance with the current state of the system of scientific work in a higher military educational institution was noted. The rational sequence of obtaining various forms of scientific products based on the results of the scientific activity of the team is given. The primacy of scientific research in the form of research work as a basis for obtaining scientific products is noted. Approaches to the formation of a matrix of scientific problems and tasks, which will determine the sequence of their solution and contribute to increasing the effectiveness of scientific research in a higher military educational institution in a certain set of their directions, are outlined. Crisis situations that threaten national security require a comprehensive solution, as well as the participation of various departments, government structures and organizations in ensuring the safety of citizens, protecting the constitutional order, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, in eliminating grave consequences, etc. Under such conditions, mechanisms for responding to crisis situations that threaten the national security of Ukraine play an important role, and therefore, the issue of researching the methodological foundations of the functioning and development of mechanisms for responding to crisis situations that threaten the national security of Ukraine is currently relevant. It was established that in modern society, management mechanisms play the main role in the state policy of responding to crisis situations that threaten national security. Mechanisms of state administration are supposedly \"management tools\" in the state system. Today, the scientific community has provided a significant number of options for defining the concept of control mechanisms. Mechanisms for responding to crisis situations that threaten national security should be understood as a set of special measures, means, levers, incentives, with the help of which the security and defense forces are involved and act to resolve extreme exacerbations of contradictions, acute destabilization of the situation in any field of activity, region, country. It was determined that the study of the methodological principles of the functioning of the mechanisms for responding to crisis situations that threaten the national security of Ukraine should be based on the definitions of the mechanisms of public administration in the broad sense and include three stages: analysis, development of the theoretical aspect; organizational aspect, development of a methodological basis; checking for adequacy in the national security system. The peculiarity of the methodological approach to the functioning of the mechanisms for responding to crisis situations that threaten the national security of Ukraine specified in the article is the actualization of the implementation of civil control by citizens and public associations in the system of ensuring national security in response to crisis situations both at the national and regional and local levels. This approach maintains the direction of the development of mechanisms for responding to crisis situations that threaten the national security of Ukraine. The basis of the developed methodology is the extrapolation method of forecasting theory based on trend models. To approximate the identified trends and extrapolate them to the future, the second-order polynomial is used in the methodology, which is able to describe changes in speed and acceleration that occur during the development of a dynamic process. In addition, the methodology uses a toolkit for discounting initial data, which makes it possible to give greater significance to the latest observations of a dynamic series in the event of sudden changes in the dynamic process. Conversely, if the dynamic series is free from sharp fluctuations, the formation of forecast estimates will be influenced by all elements of this series equally. Therefore, the forecaster has the opportunity to assess the dynamics of psychogenic losses that have occurred in a certain unit, military unit (unit), and adjust the forecasting tool (methodology) accordingly. The produced predictive assessment of psychogenic losses consists of point and interval estimates determined for a prescriptively established confidence probability value. To make predictions about the number of psychogenic losses, the technique uses real accumulated statistical data on such losses in a unit, military unit or unit over the past period of time. This property is revealed through the category of the goal and is objectively expressed by the degree of achievement of the goal, provided that the technical support organization meets the basic requirements, the level of fulfillment of which will determine the efficiency of the technical support system. The main research concept for analyzing the effectiveness of performing tasks as intended is modeling. Therefore, there is a need to develop a model for the functioning of the technical support system for military operations of the National Guard of Ukraine. The basis for developing a model for the functioning of the technical support system is a systematic approach to studying the problems of technical support for the service and combat operations of the National Guard of Ukraine grouping, which makes it possible to determine the composition of the forces and means of technical support for the National Guard group of Ukraine in the area of service and combat missions. The study of the management processes of military organizational systems today is carried out using only mathematical modeling methods, but the use of mathematical decision-making methods with a full set of clear input data does not always help in solving the problem under conditions of natural uncertainty of the situation. Based on the analysis of the existing scientific and methodological apparatus for evaluating the effectiveness of the functioning of the technical support system of the National Guard of Ukraine grouping, the article proposes a model for the functioning of the technical support system for service and combat operations of the National Guard of Ukraine grouping. The purpose of the article is to study and determine the essence, particular qualities and characteristics of psychological operations carried out during modern armed conflicts. Psychological operation is considered as a category of modern armed conflict, the essence, types, and particular qualities of various types of psychological operations are revealed. Psychological operation is the main element of psychological warfare. The essence of PO consists in the practical use in the conditions of armed struggle of a set of agreed, coordinated and interconnected tasks, place and time, objects and procedures of types, forms, methods and methods of psychological influence. One-time measures of psychological warfare involve short-term, targeted actions of special units or individual specialists, which differ in a certain nature and are carried out on a local scale.
