Green energy means environment-friendly and non-polluting energy (inclusive of solar, biomass, wind, tidal, etc.). Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) generation is one of the maximum promising candidates for mitigating the destiny power crisis. The extracted energy from CSP technology may be very clean, dependable, and environmentally friendly. A review of the parabolic trough collector (PTC) which is one of the CSP technology with a focus on the components, the working principle, and thermal properties of the parabolic trough collector. Also, this study explains the parabolic trough power plants with tracking systems, from the other hand, evaluates the effects of using many types of reflectors and multi kinds of working fluids on the performance of the parabolic trough collector (PTC), in addition of that study presents the use of PTCs in many applications.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129752563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the notion that students' familiarity with technological tools is essential for their learning development, the main question is still the following: does the utilization of technology affects the learning process ?The impact of using new technologies and tools on students’ learning achievements can be determined based on students’ progress in individual cognitive subjects, on students’ commitment, as well as on the attitudes, perceptions and readiness of teachers towards the utilization of technology. This paper explores whether and to what extent new technologies contribute to the strengthening of general education, special education and intercultural education (Roma students) students’ knowledge and skills. It appears that new technologies in classrooms seem to support educational practices. Teachers realize that their students use ICT as sources of reference, investigation and communication, while the frequent use of these tools effectively motivates students' commitment to learning and development.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121708277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The correlation analysis approach is then used to determine and rank the relevance of stroke characteristics, and factors with poor correlation are discarded. The samples are randomly split into a 70% training set and a 30% testing set. Finally,the random forest model and XGBoost algorithm combined with cross-validation and grid search method are implemented to learn the stroke characteristics. The accuracy of the testing set by the XGBoost algorithm is 0.9257, which is better than that of the random forest model with 0.8991. Thus, the XGBoost model is selected to predict the stroke for ten people, and the obtained conclusion is that two people have a stroke and eight people have no stroke.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128616270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our study focuses on the waste sector in DR Congo, which is characterized by an increase in emissions attributable to 1) the evacuation of solid waste of all kinds generated by households, communities and businesses and 2) the discharge of domestic wastewater. The paper proposes a model of decision support system that will monitor the mitigation and adaptation strategies concerning the waste sector. Our system aims to provide a sustainable waste management that can lead to reduction of the GHG emissions. Such a system can help stakeholders to be efficient in their mission.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128882724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
