To this end, a Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) approach is utilized and a Bayesian estimation method is employed using monthly data from the Office of Industrial Economics database for domestic price, demand, and export of concentrate latex from January 2016 to January 2022, with a total of 61 observations. The results suggest that a technological shock increases output and employment while reducing output price. The cost related shocks, on the other hand, decrease output and employment while increasing output price. Furthermore, external shocks cause a shift in imports and exports and domestic final prices of concentrated latex. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to enhance technology, labor skills, and the domestic concentrated latex industry's capacity.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127534765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"Quantification of Training in Human Thought using Chaos Theory: Degree of Decreasing Entropy as an Indicator","authors":"H. Yanagisawa","doi":"10.37394/232029.2023.2.5","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37394/232029.2023.2.5","url":null,"abstract":"Many analytical methods used to quantify the technical training of human resources have been reported, but they are poor at assessing the training of human thought. Chaos theory and the degree of decreasing entropy have not yet been used in such analytics, although all phenomena—except for those in a completely fixed state (e.g., mathematics, historical facts, and true natural laws) or a random state (e.g., dialing a random digit)—are based on chaos theory. Chaos theory must therefore be considered in the quantification of the technical and intellectual training of human resources because human thinking is involved. This report compares a method for chaos theoretical quantification of human resource training to methods that do not involve chaos theory. The development of the ability to change to a fixed state from a chaotic state beyond the Feigenbaum point is the goal for the training in thinking; this process, which involves a decrease in entropy, is the most difficult, and important process in such training. In a chaotic state with an infinite number of solutions, humans can never show their own state using any method. In many reports, each goal in a fixed state is considered after thinking has been rearranged; however, a chaotic state in human thinking can never be expressed using indices such as productivity, efficiency, or job satisfaction. Indeed, many reported results are merely a part of human resource training, but the change of entropy in the fixed state is small (this corresponds to the “creativity” of artificial intelligence). By contrast, the change in entropy from a chaotic state to a fixed state is large, and this corresponds to human intuitive. Considered in terms of chaos theory, goal achievement for thinking must therefore be quantified in terms of the degree of decreasing entropy (i.e., the problem-solving speed, and degree of problem difficulty). This type of problem-solving speed is not about achieving ta goal but about creating a new idea. The concrete methods considered are the Schedule for the Evaluation of Individual Quality of Life-Direct Weighting method, the Kawakida Jiro method, and the Mandala chart. Based on the findings presented here, considering entropy change in the chaotic state should become an index for evaluating the creation of a new idea instead of the repetition of an existing idea, as this type of thinking is beyond the scope of artificial intelligence. Given that almost all natural phenomena, including human thinking, are based on chaos theory, using this theory can promote scientific development in all academic fields.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"18 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116694822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to analyze some important features of occlusion in Malaysians. A clinical examination was conducted on 120 students at MAHSA University. The sample was equally divided by gender and ethnicity (Malays, Chineses, and Indians), their age ranged between 18 to 25 years. Results showed that the incidence of canine guidance and group function occlusions was 36% and 64% respectively. Angle’s classification analysis revealed that Class I included the highest ratio of group function, class II, division 1 incorporated more group function than canine protection, while class II division 2 had more canine protection. In Class III, the occurrence for both occlusal patterns was almost equal. Other findings were that subjects with reduced horizontal overlap (0-0.9mm.) showed a 45% group function occlusal pattern, while subjects with increased (7-8.9 mm.) horizontal overlap all had group function. On the other hand, when vertical overlap exceeds 3mm., the percentage of canine protection spikes sharply and it reaches more than 80% of the cases when vertical overlap stands out at 5mm. During edge-to-edge protrusion, 45 % of individuals had anterior and posterior teeth contact, while 55% had anterior teeth contact with posterior teeth disocclusion. Class II division 2 had only anterior teeth contact with posterior teeth disocclusion, while Class III had nearly only anterior teeth contact with posterior teeth contact. There was no statistical difference in types of occlusion among ethnic groups and genders. In conclusion, Angle’s Classification, horizontal and vertical overlaps affect the occlusal pattern types during lateral excursion and protrusion. A simple formula is presented to predict the vertical and horizontal overlaps.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125754624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cyber security is distinctive in its inclusion of the offensive use of information technology to attack adversaries. Use of the term cyber security as a key challenge and a synonym for information security or IT security misleads customers and security practitioners and obscures critical differences between these disciplines. Recommendation for security leaders is that they should use the term cyber security to designate only security practices related to the defensive actions involving or relying upon information technology and/or operational technology environments and systems. Cyber defense is a computer network defense mechanism which includes response to actions and critical infrastructure protection and information assurance for organizations, government entities and other possible networks [3]. In this paper, we investigate how cyber security and cyber defense may lead to cyber resilience with the novel model of cyber resilience designed and presented. Furthermore, within the same model authors investigate actions for cyber security and cyber defense in conditions of increasing challenge of cyber-attacks and the limited capabilities to respond to this threat describing the process of creation, performance and future of EU Cyber Rapid Response Teams (abbr. The characterization of the randomness of a series of real numbers is proposed to guide researchers in investigating phenomena towards deterministic or stochastic models. A numerical string's relative entropy is calculated using the histograms corresponding to the analysed strings, compared to the maximum entropy for the same histogram. It is shown that the entropy values have an asymptotic behaviour, but the relative entropy decreases with the increase in the number of histogram classes. Compared to other methods of characterizing the randomness of strings, which are not many, most of them being based on statistical tests, the method proposed in this article determines a better resolution for the classification of strings and, in addition, it can designate them as belonging to a class of randomness similar to that of some known strings, such as finite substrings of prime numbers, pseudorandom strings generated by common programs, trigonometric strings, etc. The attempt to quantify the randomness of real numerical strings, the results of which are presented in this article, is a first step in characterizing the randomness of experimental numerical strings, this being the final goal of the investigations.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122152291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

India, where extreme poverty has grown, especially in rural areas, is a country where it is totally relevant. Indian society, a large portion of which lives in rural areas, lacks education due to factors like politics, which have been used over the years to keep them ignorant of the benefits of education. As a result, there has been no advancement in agriculture, and there is a lack of skills needed to obtain jobs in the manufacturing and service sectors. The majority of people in rural regions today are surviving, but they are malnourished because they are not getting the necessary nourishment, and at the same time, their income is so low that they cannot afford to buy supplements. The government gave universal education significant consideration after it was added to the Millennium Development Goals, although considering higher education is unrealistic given that only universal basic education has been accomplished. The most crucial thing the government can do is educate and assist the underprivileged in sending their children to school and to support further education with a practical emphasis, which would enable them to find employment in the sector. They should have easy access to agricultural courses if they desire to enrol in one. Rural residents do not receive their fair share of government benefits like the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sichayi Yojana [4] and Fasal Bima Yojana [4] if they are not educated. Therefore, it is imperative to provide rural society with knowledge so that they can benefit appropriately from government programmes as well as from agricultural improvement and revenue diversification.","PeriodicalId":109830,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Sciences & Development","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130647506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we contribute to the design of a state-of-art wearable collar for cattle that can monitor the location and health conditions remotely in large-scale farms. The proposed collar is designed on a microcontroller with GSM/GPRS communication modules. Therefore, the wearable collar can communicate directly with the IoT server via 3G/4G or 5G mobile base stations and can be used in robust environments.
