However not many people understand about the existence of such waqf branch because the concept is very niche that no academic paper has explored the subject at all. Due to that, waqf logistics practices has been ongoing for years without anyone able to extract such activity. One of the well-known examples of waqf logistics is the case of Larkin Sentral, in Malaysia. Hearse services and warehouses are some of the other examples of waqf logistics activities that has never been cited. There are also very strong possibilities that waqf logistics is in practice at various waqf cities, waqf plantations and waqf manufacturing setups around the globe because these activities require the movement of goods (MOG) and movement of people (MOP). The paper offers various proactive solutions in attending to frequent occurrence of natural disasters and catastrophes in many Muslim countries . Recently, there are many unexpected occurrences due to climate changes taking place in Malaysia and Pakistan, to mention a few examples. Waqf Al-Awaridh is presented as a social solution to mitigate the effects of disasters through the participation of some segments of society. The participation may be in the form of Waqf even for a small amount, regardless of the size or value of the property. This type of Waqf has not been well studied, and there is a need to raise awareness and spread the culture of Waqf al Awaridh among the Muslims especially in the countries which suffer from such natural disaster. In this study using qualitative descriptive method. Case study that uses the object of research, is City of Bekasi-West Java. Data obtained through interviews with Bekasi City Government officials, documentation and literature studies. The analysis carried out is a SWOT analysis. Based on this research, it proves that Bekasi City, when viewed from geographical aspect, regulations, and existing legal aspects, is able to issue sukuk and carry out green infrastructure development with financing from the green sukuk. However, the reality is, until now there has been no green infrastructure development in Bekasi City that uses financing sources from sukuk or green sukuk. The methods used in the study were unit root tests and ARDL tests. The empirical result showed liquidity ratio impacted positively on economic growth in the long run in Nigeria; interest rate impacted negatively on the economic growth in Nigeria; whereas exchange rate impacted negatively on economic growth in Nigeria. The study recommends that the Central Bank of Nigeria should ensure that deposit money banks maintained an adequate liquidity ratio that is needed for economic growth in the country. They should maintain a low and stable interest rate that will encourage investment in the country, and CBN should maintain a favorable exchange rate to attract foreign investors to invest in the country.","PeriodicalId":109620,"journal":{"name":"JEBA (Journal of Economics and Business Aseanomics)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133412137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the past, there was no established legal framework for the management of waqf in Malaysia. As a result, waqf land and assets were managed in an inefficient and disorganized manner. The State Islamic Religious Council (SIRC) in Malaysia oversees the waqf administration and is responsible for the legislation in Malaysia that is related to waqf. The SIRC in its role as the sole trustee is in charge of overseeing all aspects of waqf matters. It was made more difficult in Malaysia because there are 13 states and federal territories and each of them has its waqf regulation and as a result, there are different challenges. In addition, the law and enactment of waqf in each state are uniquely distinct from the legislation and enactment in the other states correspondingly. The disparities in size, the varying numbers of waqf properties, and other aspects are the core of these problems. If these Waqf properties were efficiently handled, it would be the ideal solution to the challenge of increasing the social and economic position of the Muslim community. Unfortunately, the waqf institutions in Malaysia do not seem to be capable of playing a proactive role in promoting the economic growth and overall development of Muslims in Malaysia.
