The channels between the source and relays are assumed to be generalized (k-μ) fading channels whereas channels between the relays and destination are generalized (η-μ) fading channels. Formulation of outage probability expression is done for the considered system model. This paper contributes an exact formula for outage probability for dual-hop multi-relay asymmetric fading channels. Derived formulation of outage probability is in infinite series form nevertheless the series converges promptly and therefore can be precisely approximated by considering finite number of terms. Examples are presented for different values of parameters k, μ and η. Derived expression is upheld by simulation.","PeriodicalId":109549,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication, & Automation (ICACCA) (Spring)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129817643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is very robust against narrowband interference, but it is not totally free from drawbacks. There are timing and frequency synchronization error for which this technique is very sensitive. These errors are quite detrimental to the mutual orthogonality among the subcarriers which is main condition of the OFDM technique. If it is not resolved properly, it creates inter-symbol interference (ISI) and inter-channel interference (ICI). ISI and ICI increase the Bit Error Rate (BER) and creates packet loss in the transmission. Means, OFDM System has no proper use without precise synchronization technique to assure reasonable system performance. This paper provides an overview on the causes and the effects of these synchronization errors. It focuses on various symbol timing and carrier frequency acquisition schemes including coarse and fine synchronization techniques, using cyclic prefix or training symbols. It has also discussed the attention to implement different standards in the same wireless device using common frequency synchronization structure.","PeriodicalId":109549,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication, & Automation (ICACCA) (Spring)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114275957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The combined implementation of solar and wind energy sources are in demand for power generation, as they also overcome the problems such as nonavailability either of solar or wind power throughout the year due to their unforeseeable nature. In this paper, the simulation and economic analysis of hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) consisting of photovoltaic arrays, along with wind turbines and battery systems has been performed using Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable (HOMER) software. The sensitivity variables such as global solar, wind speed and price of fuel are implemented for the optimization of HRES. The process of mining data sets, represented as graph structures, called graph mining is widely studied in bioinformatics, computer networks, chemical reactions, social networks, program flow structures, etc. Frequent Subgraph Mining is defined as finding all the subgraphs in a given graph that appear more number of times than a given value. Frequent subgraph mining process for single large graph consists of three phases, i.e., candidate generation, support computation and result generation and sets of techniques used in each phase. This paper provides a brief survey of the frequent subgraph mining algorithms focusing on the type of techniques they use in the algorithm in respective phases.","PeriodicalId":109549,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication, & Automation (ICACCA) (Spring)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116247079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These issues are supposed to be fixed for better utilization of MANETs. MANET nodes interact through multi-hop routing. AODV is a commonly used on-demand protocol for routing in MANETs. In the existing literature, AODV has been analyzed a number of times but heterogeneity of the nodes has not been addressed. Heterogeneity may be defined as diversity among the nodes in resources or capability. The environment is usually heterogeneous in case of constraint fluid dynamic environment of MANET. In this paper we are analyzing the routing performance as well as energy efficient behavior of AODV routing protocol in both homogeneous and heterogeneous MANETs (H-MANETs), using performance parameters like ratio of delivered packets, throughput, average delay, average power consumption, energy of alive nodes, etc. Heterogeneity has been introduced in terms of different initial energy for all the nodes, unlike the homogeneous scenario. The simulation work has been done using network simulator (NS-2). This work will be helpful to get insight of effects of heterogeneity on energy efficiency and other performance metrics of AODV.","PeriodicalId":109549,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communication, & Automation (ICACCA) (Spring)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126332959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
