It promotes the use of \"service-oriented\" principles to design and develop software systems. Various organizations have adopted SOA and uses information bus to integrate their businesses. In order to improve the performance of services running in SOA environment, caching has been used since long time. Organizations depend on proprietary caching infrastructures and integrate it with their information bus. Until now because of lack of standardization for in-memory caching, they get tied to the service provided by particular cache vendor, thus there is no flexibility between uses of caching infrastructure and creates a vendor lock-in problem. In this paper, we address this issue and propose a system with standard based service components to enable information bus with support for caching. In addition, this paper contributes to analysis of in-memory cache stores in terms of performance. We have done analysis of two caching infrastructures namely Redis and Ehcache under different dimensions such as variant data size, concurrent clients, etc. We evaluated their performance for various caching operations under different cases and provide implications of each.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114271749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here, a compact square patch antenna is designed in such a way that the radiating patch is loaded by a layer of metal between the patch and the ground which makes the antenna operate at a lower frequency. The antenna design is optimized to obtain a resonant frequency of 2.45GHz. Miniaturization of the antenna is obtained by using meta-material based structures inscribed on the metal layer. The meta-material structure used here is a square-shaped complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). On varying the number and size of inclusions, high levels of miniaturization are observed.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123869215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is an indispensable need of detection of global disasters like Tsunami, volcano and wave and tide gauging in order to save life and property. The latest technology used in tsunameters for real time detection is broadband quartz pressure sensors, which rely on accuracy of pressure measurement. The novel technique proposed here is the use of pyroelectricity for low pressure measurement. The temperature and pressure relationship of a gaseous material is used to implement pressure measurement. A set-up is maintained which ensures maximum pressure transfer from the surroundings to the gas through the diaphragm. The pyroelectric wall measures the pressure. The retrieval of pressure values by conversion of temperature to pressure value is perceived using gaseous equation of state. All data acquisition is done in NI's LabView Version 10.0. So this method measures pressure indirectly.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123724974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Strong noise sources from own platform and other interfering sources make detection and classification a difficult job to achieve in practical scenarios. Adaptive beam formers aim to minimize the interference from other sources while looking in a desired direction. Often it is necessary to have a wideband frequency response along the look direction to allow estimation of signal parameters in that beam. Wideband time domain beam formers combine desired frequency response along the look direction with interference power minimization thus offering much better estimation of the target spectral parameters along that direction. In this paper, the Frost's beam former was adapted for sonar processing with emphasis on using the beam former output for spectral processing and audio processing and the performance was evaluated under various input scenarios.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117175461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Monitoring these activities within the cloud environment is a major task for the security analysts and the cloud consumer. The cloud service providers may voluntarily suppress the security threats detected in their Infrastructure from the consumers. The goal is to decouple Intrusion Detection System (IDS) related logic from individual application business logic and adhere to the Service Oriented Architecture Standards. This paper provides a framework for Intrusion Detection and reporting service to the cloud consumers based on the type of applications and their necessary security needs. Cloud consumers can choose the desired signatures from this framework to protect their applications. The proposed technique is deployed in existing open source cloud environment with minimum changes. A proof-of-concept prototype has been implemented based on Eucalyptus open source packages to show the feasibility of this approach. Our results show that this framework provides effective way to monitor the cloud infrastructure in service oriented approach.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126490614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the conventional OFDM systems use of cyclic prefix results in loss of capacity and the use of IFFT for modulation leads to poor spectral containment and high narrowband interference. To overcome these disadvantages filter bank based multicarrier system using cosine modulated filter bank has been proposed. The prototype filter for the CMFB system is developed using a low pass Kaiser window from which the entire filter bank is developed. Peak to average Power Ratio (PAPR) is one of the main drawbacks of every multi-carrier system. PAPR reduction using clipping and companding methods are carried out and their performance is evaluated using CCDF plot and BER plot.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132004080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With such motivations researchers have worked on developing several reversible synthesis approaches over the years. Some methods are exact, some are based on heuristics, some rely on function representations like Binary Decision Diagram (BDD) or Exclusive-OR Sum of Products (ESOP), and some are based on group theoretic methods. In this paper a synthesis approach for reversible logic circuit based on the theory of permutation cycles is presented, using multiple-control Toffoli gates. The method uses cycle decomposition rules to divide larger cycles into smaller ones and then smaller cycles with bit difference less than three are directly synthesized using an existing synthesis algorithm in the backend. After generating the net list, further optimizations are performed using an window optimization method present in Revkit.","PeriodicalId":109537,"journal":{"name":"2013 Third International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123433678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
