IoT Based Remote Health Monitoring System for Patients and Elderly People 基于物联网的患者和老年人远程健康监测系统

Taking the capability of IoT technology into account, it is possible to overcome the difficulties faced by physically unstable patients in consulting a doctor physically on a regular basis. This work has led to a prototype of IoT Based Remote Health Monitoring System for Patients. This prototype consists of three health sensors: heart pulse sensor, body temperature sensor and galvanic skin response sensor. All these sensors were merged together into a single system with Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi combined together. The data acquired from the sensors is transferred to a cloud storage via the Raspberry Pi. The cloud storage is continuously being updated in real time database. An Android Application was developed using Android Studio which could access the database and show a graphical representation of the health parameters. IoT integrated with the health wearables can overcome the need of visiting hospitals for primary health issues. This also reduces the medical expenses for patients significantly. In addition, the doctors can prescribe necessary medications by observing the patient’s health stats over time through an application. Due to their complex components and complicated underlying physics, people have chosen to circumvent understanding the phenomena within the actions that a robot makes, and actually study robotics from a technical point of view rather than using an engineering approach. In this project, a group of students designed and built a robot that is capable of executing two to three different gestures. The team ultimately designed and built a robot miniature car that has the ability to detect obstacles on its way, and is capable of following a black line path, along with other sound and light sensitive gestures. The robot was collected and gathered using a robotic components kit, and the designed robot car was constructed using low budget mechanical tools and equipment. Mainly, two servomotors were used along with other mechanical components and an Arduino control board. The robot was programmed using Arduino open-source software and it was intended to make the robot do the different gestures. The testing procedure for the robot car was successful as the team hypothesized; the robot was able to successfully operate as programmed and performed all the intended gestures. Typical electronics based liquid level detectors carry the risk of accidents which are hazardous and costly as they are prone to electrical short-circuits. As optical fibers do not carry electricity and can operate a fair distance from the transceiver, they are safer to use as the main sensor material. In this work, an optical fiber liquid level measurement sensor is designed and analyzed. The sensor operates on the principle of fiber optic bending loss (FOBL). As the liquid level increases, so does the bending loss; resulting in a gradual decrease of the output signal on the receiving end. The bending loss for measuring water level (0-15 cm) resulted in a power output ranging from -26.79 dBm to 8.2 dBm. The water characteristic sensor gave power outputs ranging from 37-39 dBm, 38-40 dBm, 39-44 dBm for freshwater, Saltwater and muddy water respectively. The results are then used in a simple application of automating a 12 V DC powered pump to model a water pump automation in everyday household requirements. The sensor is also useful in detecting a change in medium based on the relationship of refractive index change. A compact open end slot feed microstrip antenna working in Industrial, Scientific and Medical radio (ISM) band at 2.45GHz is proposed for on-body communications which are not obtrusive but reasonable for bio-medical applications. The antenna consists of an open-end slot feed in order to reduce microstrip losses and inherent matching and defected ground structure in order to reduce mutual coupling effect. As a result, high gain (7.2dBi) and a wide impedance bandwidth (16% with a center frequency 2.45GHz) are achieved which remove all limitation of the previous work. The magnitude of return loss is found −46.64 dB at 2.45 GHz. The antenna overall performance is analyzed in a three-layer human phantom model. Though the roads has become very crowded with a lot of vehicles, it has become a crying need to control the movement of the vehicles. Automated traffic control, critical moment notifications, post accidental notifications, correct route selection has become very important and these can be implemented by using vehicular ad-hoc network system. For the proper communication among vehicles, the vehicular ad-hoc network(VANET) uses some protocols. The AODV, DSDV and DSR are the mostly used protocols. Many clustering approaches have been proposed but they suffer from uneven clusters which eventually make the network load unbalanced. In this work, we have suggested a two-stage energy proficient balanced clustering method which will balance the network load. We considered the parameters residual energy, intra-cluster cost, inter cluster cost, communication distance. We compared our proposed protocol with a recent clustering protocol CH-leach. The performance of the parabolic solar cooker highly depends on the proper choice of reflecting materials. This paper illustrates the significant comparison of three different types of reflecting materials. They are Stainless Steel, Aluminum Foil and Mylar tape. These three types of cooker were tested at various weather condition and got the wide variation of temperatures output. The maximum temperature of 93.7 °C was achieved by using Mylar tape as a reflective material. Moreover, 77.1 °C and 73.1 °C of highest temperature were achieved by using Aluminum foil and stainless steel respectively. With rapid population growth and increasing food demand, boosting farm productivity and yield is essential. To overcome this challenge, this paper proposes an automated control system of a farm using a cloud based IoT solution to monitor and control multiple areas of the farm which play crucial role in the entire farming process. The system uses a network of several NodeMCUs (ESP8266) micro-controllers to monitor and control multiple systems over the cloud. The NodeMCUs constantly monitor the respective states of various elements of the farm and report the data to the central control unit. At present situation, people want to realize their current health condition and also want proper care rapidly. But older and disabled people are very incapable without someone’s help. Even they have to face so many difficulties to inform someone about their health condition. To solve this problem a smart and automobile system has proposed. The proposed system consists of health monitoring systems with body temperature and heartbeat measurement. This health monitoring system displayed temperature and heart rate data on an LCD, it also sends an automatic notification to caretakers or doctors. A fall detection system is added to abstain from unintentional injury and death for old and disabled persons. When the data crossed the normal value and the fall detector detects the fall that times the system send an automatic notification.
