Development of a Wireless Safety System Based on Multiple Radiation Detector for Nuclear Facilities 基于多辐射探测器的核设施无线安全系统研制

The radiation sensor is based on Geiger Muller tube (GMT) which is a reliable detector for the radioactive particulates in the gaseous effluent vented from nuclear facilities. The detectors are interconnected and controlled from a server by a remote operator. A real-time log can be generated from respective data sent by these multiple detectors. The detectors are also implemented such a way that it is able to interact with the operator through a graphical user interface. The generated data have been further used to plot a real-time graph with MATLAB which is integrated into the system. The system is tested under several radioactive sources considering the background radiation. The graphical interpretation of the radiation pattern in terms of count per minutes versus time was obtained from the received data. This proposed system allows the remote operator to record and store the data of different radiation levels emitted from the radioactive in different time which may be used to create a radiation emission curve of a whole year. To increase the efficiency of the conventional cooking stove, an energy harvest system from cooking heat has also been proposed in this research work. Heat absorbing body and Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC) module are used for this purpose. Heat is absorbed to generate power by using seebeck effect through TEC module. Generated power can be stored in a battery which can be delivered to the load. To find the best model considering detection success rate, combination of supervised learning algorithm and feature selection method have been used. Through this study, it is found that Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based machine learning with wrapper feature selection outperform support vector machine (SVM) technique while classifying network traffic. To evaluate the performance, NSL-KDD dataset is used to classify network traffic using SVM and ANN supervised machine learning techniques. For years, companies such as Amazon and Google have been hard at work developing a safe and practical way of utilizing the potential of unmanned aerial vehicles to improve upon their current network of delivery services. Transportation of even the largest package has become feasible due to the advances in drone-based robotics. The biggest problem left unanswered is how to best release the package once the drone has arrived at the drop off location. The solution presented in this paper details a basket that is capable of holding onto the package until the drone is rapidly flipped upside down in an aerial maneuver (oftentimes called a roll) and the centrifugal force ejects the payload from the basket. A practical, inexpensive, and robust solution to this problem was devised, modeled, researched, and tested with a 100% success rate. This solution will provide aerial robotics professionals with an alternative to the more standard method of using additional motors to actuate a payload delivery, thus cutting down on the cost, complexity, and failure rate associated with drone delivery. Use of Lead acid batteries for this purpose is very common for this type of engine as lead acid batteries are comparatively safer and cheaper. Most of the cases it has been seen that the backup generator which uses IC engine remains idle for several days which causes capacity degradation. In this paper a lead acid battery monitoring and charging system is proposed which will be used for these kind of backup generators to monitor the health of the battery and two state charging mode is introduced in the system to charge the battery safely while necessary. The system monitors the parameters such as voltage, charging current, temperature and electrolyte level of the battery. The logical bit sequences were carried by 1550 nm pump laser at 0.3 mW. The gate was designed with 0.01km optical fiber. The scheme was able to analyze the optical logic states for different combinations in terms of narrow and wideband pulses respectively logic ‘0’ and logic ‘1’. The usefulness of Cloud is increasing day by day and simultaneously more and more security problems are arising as well. Two of the major threats of Cloud are improper authentication and multi-tenancy. According to the specialists both pros and cons belong to multi-tenancy. There are security protocols available but it is difficult to claim these protocols are perfect and ensure complete protection. The purpose of this paper is to propose an integrated model to ensure better Cloud security for Authentication and multi-tenancy. Multi-tenancy means sharing of resources and virtualization among clients. Since multi-tenancy allows multiple users to access same resources simultaneously, there is high probability of accessing confidential data without proper privileges. Our model includes Kerberos authentication protocol to enhance authentication security. During our research on Kerberos we have found some flaws in terms of encryption method which have been mentioned in couple of IEEE conference papers. Pondering about this complication we have elected Elliptic Curve Cryptography. On the other hand, to attenuate arose risks due to multi-tenancy we are proposing a Resource Allocation Manager Unit, a Control Database and Resource Allocation Map. The over expanding need of information communication technology (ICT) and gigantic internet data service demand has led to an increase in the number of data center results a massive electrical energy expenditure for GDC. Therefore, reduction of energy consumption as well as the minimum cost of electricity (COE) with the desired quality of service (QoS) has been identified as an exciting research topic in the ICT sector. This paper proposes an energy sustainable hybrid power supply solution for the GDC endeavoring to curtail grid electricity usage and fuel consumption with the least possible net present cost (NPC) over the project duration of 10 years. The proposed framework is fed with both renewable energy (RE) sources such as wind turbine (WT) and solar photovoltaic (PV) array and non-renewable energy sources such as diesel generator (DG) in conjunction with adequate battery units. Salim","doi":"10.1109/ICREST.2019.8644378","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICREST.2019.8644378","url":null,"abstract":"In this research, we have designed and developed an EOG-based Electric Wheelchair system for patients suffering from Quadriplegia or Quadriparesis or similar condition where a person is not only unable to walk but also unable to move fingers to press a button. The designed EOG recorder is used to capture intentional eye blink and eye movements (i.e. EOG signals) performed by the patient sitting in the Wheelchair. The recorded EOG signals are then processed in Arduino platform and converted to command signals to control the movement of the wheelchair in four directions (i.e. left, right, front and back) from four different EOG signals (i.e. left, right, up and down eye movements) along with start and stop commands from intentional eye blink signals. The electric wheelchair is also designed and implemented by converting a normal chair to wheelchair with necessary motors (2 DC brushed motors), wheels, and control circuitry along with the battery power supply. The EOG system is portable, wireless and user friendly which can be worn by the patient to control the wheelchair. Test experiment with subjects suggests that the proposed EOG system can detect different eye movements with an average accuracy of 90% in controlling the wheelchair. The overall cost of the developed system is around 20,000 BDT which is affordable. The proposed system has a huge potential to be used by our country’s rural and middle-income people suffering from similar disability who can’t afford commercially available expensive automated electric wheelchairs. This work can be further modified to use in other applications for the same type of patients such as EOG controlled mouse cursor for computer use. Main objectives of these algorithms are to minimize noise and artifacts existing with these signals, so that it will be easy to analyze and diagnosis human diseases. This paper is presented a proposed digital filter design using sampling rate conversion (SRC) system for biomedical signal processing with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). This proposed digital filter has advantages on simple structure, stationary response and adaptively with embedded microprocessors. Another important advantage to FPGA to digital filter implementation include higher sampling rate as compared to traditional DSP chips. The proposed system is tested on computer programmable on Xilinx ISE Suite 14.7 or Quartus II software with interface ALTRA Cyclone DE II board of FPGA device. FPGA technique is flexible and provide better performance as compared to traditional techniques.
